Nice Shooting There Citizen

  • Two would-be robbers were shot to death at a liquor store in the Gresham neighborhood Saturday night, sources said.

Police were at the scene of an attempted armed robbery at Z&S Food & Liquor in the 1300 block of West 87th Street Saturday night, according to Police News Affairs. Two men were shot to death by a store employee around 8:30 p.m. when they tried to rob the store, sources said.

Citing preliminary information, authorities said two men walked into the store, and one of them hopped over the counter.
That robber hit the clerk standing behind the counter, while the other remained in front of the counter, authorities said.

Meanwhile, a relative of the store owner heard a commotion from upstairs and saw the robbery suspects from a stairwell, authorities said.

He pulled out a gun and opened fire on the two men, killing them both, authorities said. At least one of them was armed with a gun.
HeyJackass has a link to a twitter picture from inside the store:
Note the nearby pistol on the carpet. This is the second hold-up in about four years that has ended badly for the stick-up men, but we guess that's not really a lesson you can pass along to your offspring if you fail the first time.

From an old Area 4 robbery Detective: The two dead jagoffs reminded me of a couple of scenes similar to this when we had robbery teams. A robbery team was placed in a convenient store on the westside. The intelligence was correct, two fuck heads from the Four Corner Hustlers entered the store and demanded money. One had a gun and the other a knife, both were taken out with shotguns. Do you think the Department would allow a team of officers armed with heavy weapons to stake out a site and wait for the bad guy's to commit a robbery or other criminal act? In this anti police atmosphere, sadly no, but I keep hearing crime is down.

The liberal gun grabbers, like Obama, will be sad about this because:

1) It shows a good guy with a gun can stop a bad guy (or two) with a gun.

2) "No gun" signs, like most gun laws, don't stop criminals (but are good for making criminals out of law abiding citizens). Per the Tribune "A group of bystanders stood talking loudly outside the store, which had a sign banning guns from the premises."

I also like the picture at the Trib story showing the sign in the background of the store that reads "Thank you for your business, please come back soon!"

Two Suspects In Custody After Elderly Woman Injured In Lakeview Home Invasion

January 9, 2016 5:15 PM

"CHICAGO (CBS) — Two suspects are in custody after police say they terrorized an elderly woman during a home invasion in the Lakeview neighborhood.

"Police say they beat the 77-year-old woman after breaking into her home on North Magnolia around 6 a.m.

"When officers arrived, they found the woman lying on her kitchen floor with head and face trauma.

"A family member says the burglars broke in through a rear door and stole personal belongings and the woman’s car.

"Police say the burglars later crashed the car on the Dan Ryan Expressway and ran off.

"They were later caught by Chicago Police.

"The victim’s nephew says the family is grateful she’s alive.

“They did beat her up pretty bad and we’re very concerned but she’s holding her own, she’s conscious and she’s aware of who we are, her family and stuff. She knows we’re there for her and we love her. We’re just praying for her to get well soon.”

"The victim’s nephew says his aunt’s neighbors called 911 when they heard a commotion..."

I say we start right here in our own back yard. We have a Primary contest coming up in March. Presidential primary. but also Ward Committeeman. If anyone who is actually truly a Republican and who sometimes, or always votes in the Republican Primary, or even if you usually vote Democratic in the Primary I suggest you all take the Republican primary ballot this time. Why? We need the voices of all real Republicans to select our candidate for President. OUR preference should be selected whoever that might be. This is important. Which candidate we pick matters. I am not advocating any one candidate -just that you go out and pick a Republican ballot. Urge friends, relatives and neighbors...those who hold reasonable center right political views. This election is important.

ALSO note that the Democrats are up to their dirty tricks with endless money and manpower and are trying to take and or keep control of the Republican Party in Chicago as well. I urge everyone to vote for Danny Carbol for Republican Committeeman. Parilli was knocked off the ballot. Steve Graves is the opponent. It is quite easy to find out about Carbol. He is a firefighter and ran before. His Republican and conservative bonafides are pretty clear. He would represent the Republicans in our Ward. Graves sent out a inane flyer to my house. Some research shows his son circulated petitions for Dart and a news article on his son said he was the Democratic Precinct Captain "following in his father's footsteps". Carbol is the actual Republican and I believe Graves is the typical fake candidate Democrats put on the ballot to rob us of even our own representation in our own party. I never heard of Graves and I think the "election experience" he vaguely mentions in his flyer is probably for Democrats.

This post goes to all of the young bucks out there. The department will probably start up a new so called elite unit. Chances are you work midnights in a shitty district. Dont join a new unit. It is not worth it. We are living in very different times. One bad move, one bad mistake or just random bad luck means you lose your job AND freedom. I was a part of the MSF. I have two pending law suits and that means in the future it is easier for other lawyers to sue me again for any minor nonsense. There is nothing wrong being in patrol and answering your calls. Once again, dont join any special units: tact, gangs, narcotics or a new city wide unit. The same boss that pats you on the back will be the same guy that stabs you in the back.

The comments are very enlightening. The theme among the black community seems to be that robbing people at gunpoint is not a serious offense and that they don't deserve to be shot for it. It doesn't matter that the thugs threaten to shoot the victims. Now that is some funky ghetto thinking. They really believe that criminal acts are a type of work. Amazing what they have devolved into as a result of generations of socialist policies.

Those type of pictures are exactly what is needed. You should see all the libs on Twitter raging. They want the photo deleted and anyone who shared it to have their accounts terminated. Let's get more of these "crime doesn't pay" photos out there. Here's an easy way to wipe data from a pic on your personal cell phone. Upload pic to a home (desktop) computer. When the pictures thumbnail is visible, right click on it, choose "open with" and pic any program, say Microsoft Paint. Put a little dot, line, anything of the sort in an inconspicuous place. Then click File, Save as, and give the pic a new file name of your choosing. Then send it out via an anonymous hotmail or gmail etc. you have now removed any "exif" data that could trace the pic back to your device. This is all perfectly legal by the way, to modify a photo that you own the rights to.

Well, let's see. 11 degrees out there now and still dropping. See if that quiets things down a bit, or if we have to close the beaches again.

Like someone said, in extreme cold weather, you are more likely to run into the really bad ones who are going to be out there no matter what.

We have been lucky so far -- hope for El Nino to come back, it is a bitch getting to the store with a walker or a hoveround when the sidewalks gets bad. Uh, private snowplow guys? When you do a parking lot, try not to leave a wall of snow across the sidewalk where it crosses entry/exit driveways. Nothing to the drivers going in and out, but a dangerous, icy obstruction to pedestrians. Store owners at the strip mall, etc. could come out too and get the leftover part with a shovel in just a couple minutes. Thanks much...people do want to get to your store safely and buy something...go Powerball!

...and from a Tribune story...

"When some police personnel came out of the building, a few bystanders crossed the police tape to approach them.

“Where were y’all at?” yelled one man."

Wait. You want "the police department to be defunded and all the money given to...well, some other sort of "causes" and "organizations."

You put forth "violence interrupters" like Ameena Matthews. "We do not need anyone up in here telling us how to do." (said to ABC's Diane Sawyer)

...and then when something happens, you get this.

So the "BLM" "artist" with the bullhorn and the stand-one-inch-from-your-nose stare -- where was HE that evening?

Don't answer that.

SSDD.

It's interesting that the shop owner had a "No Guns" sign posted. Total waste of valuable advertising real estate on that door. Didn't do a damn bit of good at keeping the criminals at bay, they ought to pull it right off.

If it were me in that craptastic hellhole of a neighborhood and I owned a liquor store, you can bet I'd be open carrying the biggest gun I could find. A nice Desert Eagle sets the tone for shopping in the store. Behave or suffer the consequences. "No playin', no clownin', no bullshit." - now that'd be a sign on the front door eh?

Good question, Under (430 ILCS 66/65) which is the concealed carry act regulating the signs etc. It states in Section 65:
Sec. 65. Prohibited areas.
(a) A licensee under this Act shall not knowingly carry a firearm on or into:...
What this says is that the holder of a CCL under 430 ILCS 66/65 and ONLY those holders are subject to the GFZ prohibition brought on by the posting of the sign.
It does not have any control over active peace officers or retired officers under HR-218/LEOSA
The owner of private property has the right to ask you to leave.
One note, the federal Gun-Free School Zones Act (GFSZA), no guns within 1000 ft of a school.....
If licensed under (430 ILCS 66/65) you can carry,
If licensed under LEOSA...you CANNOT CARRY within the zone.

I'd say read the Obama-appointed judge's opinion, but somehow I doubt you'd spot the judge's own prejudices, such as his comical characterization of how Coyle "fell" out of the passenger seat, resulting in an injury to one of the officer's wrist., but methinks you'd be drooling on yourself two pages in, lost in daydreams of licking windows. Yes, some of us "do our jobs," did rather. You, however, were not one of them.

One of the thing I liked was the interviews with the neighbors who supported the store owners. They said right out loud that this was the right thing to do and those fools got what they had coming to them.

One neighbor even said that one of the now dead offenders had stolen her mother's BMW and ran from the police with it and destroyed it. She even showed a photo of the arrest.

Now if we could just figure a way of getting that kind of community support when we have an officer involved shooting.

All deaths by another person, regardless of means used or whether justifiable, are considered homicides. Latin-homo= man & Latin-caedere=to kill. To kill another man. Also from the French.
