There's a Proper Bail
- A routine traffic stop in an Englewood parking lot quickly turned into a scuffle as a Jackson Park Highlands man punched and kicked three Chicago police officers, grabbing for one of their duty weapons before he was arrested, prosecutors said Saturday.
Terrence L. Strong, 28, was ordered held without bail Saturday during a bond hearing at the Leighton Criminal Courts Building.
Strong, of the 6700 block of South Constance Avenue, faces a number of felony charges including several counts of aggravated battery to a police officer and attempting to disarm a police officer in an incident that injured a veteran police captain and two female officers, authorities said.
Anyone noticing a lot of "enhanced" weed floating around? We've heard of a couple other similar attacks, though we've been lucky enough to avoid first-hand experience.

They got charges approved only because it was a captain.. If it would have been a blue shirt & no brass involved in the incident charges would have been simple assault. Sentenced time served. Judge would say "Offender was turning his life around and was on his way to a job interview and then after his interview he was going to enroll at community college and get his G E D. Before he was stopped by evil blue".

FYI most hospitals have no test for synthetic marijuana and make offenders under the influence of these drugs psych evaluations. In one such instance the offender was given four sedative shots with no effect!!! Please make sure officers document everything in the encounter so that the state does not nolle the case after the hospital releases the offender after the psych eval period. Please articulate the actions of the offender consistent with synthetic marijuana and not a psychotic episode. Very critical for all of us.
Where the hell is my taser! Or are the politicians still working out who is getting a cut of what. When you guys figure out who's going to get paid, then hurry the hell up any get us those tasers. How we going to de-escalate a guy trying to disarm us if we don't have a taser. I know the use of force model says we can use deadly force if they are trying to disarm us but hell, how would the BLM people feel if we killed someone trying to get our gun. Maybe he was thinking about getting his concealed carry license and he just wanted to see the officer's gun? As far a punching and kicking officers, I'm sure it was because they were racist. There can't be any other explanation.

Zero contact, people. This incident just shows that the Englewood neighborhood deserves nothing proactive. The denizens of Englewood certainly don't deserve or appreciate the efforts of any officers that lead to those officers getting injured.

Slightly OT. I just don't understand why people have to be such jagoffs. I was recently stopped by the police for a burned out license plate light. As soon as I pulled over, I turned on the interior lights and sat with both hands on the steering wheel where the officer could see them. He asked to see my license, etc. and I politely informed him that I was licensed to carry concealed and I did, in fact, have a weapon. He asked me to exit the vehicle and removed my weapon from the holster and handed it, and my spare magazine, to his partner. I then presented my license, registration and insurance as he requested. He then told me why I had been stopped and told me he was going to give me a warning. His partner returned my my possessions in a plastic bag, unloaded and locked open and I went on my way. Was that so fucking hard? I didn't feel that my rights were violated, the light bulb WAS burned out.
Enhanced weed? Grabbing for an officer's weapon? Assaulting an officer? The South Side has a new hero to name a street after.

I never attend anymore just a thugfest marathon, if you wanted to go you can go day before show opens early, not going to elaborate here but if your the police you can figure it out! That is what my family does,free parking and more!

Read about how the THC content of pot today has gone WAAAY up since the old Mexican stuff of the 60s. Not your father's Oldsmobile in the first place, and now it figures that some helpful person out there would be dipping it in "leaf," "tic," "tac," PCP, etc. to help insure more LaQuan-type problems.

Have seen stories lately that the THC content of today's pot -- just as it is grown -- is MUCH higher than that old Mexican stuff that was floating around the campuses and Dead concerts back in the '60s. I mean like 15% or more compared to the old 2-3%.
There would just have to be some helpful person out there dipping it in "bath salts" and "tic" and "tac" and "tec" and stuff, just to insure a bug-eyed, unpredictable, might-do-anything street-Zombie generation that is probably evolving to ENJOY being Tased.
