Third Time to be the Charm?
You know, most people go through life without even being shot once:

For the second time in a month, the young woman in the dark jacket walked out of her South Austin house and learned her childhood friend had been shot.
The first time, in late January, her friend was shot in the foot in the 5200 block of West Congress Parkway where they have lived all their lives. The bullet was still lodged inside when he was shot again around 9:30 p.m. Tuesday while driving to a store.
He was hit in the side and thigh and was reported stable at Mount Sinai Hospital.
"Two times in a month?" the woman said, shaking as she smoked a cigarette. "What’s the problem?"
We'd say that the problem is someone keeps missing. Twice in a month?

There was a story today about a woman whose son was missing, and they asked the CPD to look for him in some park. CPD looked, but couldnt find him.
the family later found him in the park. There were aspects of her comments and others related to her, where it would imply that they were very upset that the police didnt do their job of finding him.
Will someone please report back if they attempt to sue the city because the police were "negligent" in not finding the corpse? Im almost certain they are looking for a lottery ticket here.
"Jernigan said she is frustrated that her family could do what police were unable to. Community activist Tio Hardiman said it sends the wrong message to victims' families.
"It's not a good message because we all have to work together to prevent violence on the front end," Hardiman said. "But once a life has been taken, we have to work hard to find the body and bring closure to the family."
The Chicago Police Department confirmed that officers and a K9 search unit had previously searched the area where Brooks' body was found and said it had also searched several other locations."

Trying to kill him??? I saw someone is GOING to kill him. You would think at some point, the dude would get the hint after getting shot the first time and decide to find somewhere else to live. Not in the ghetto where life styles choices defy logic.

"A young father who had been missing since Christmas Eve was found dead with multiple gunshot wounds Tuesday near a South Side Chicago park and his death has been ruled a homicide, authorities said.
"The 23-year-old man's body was found just after noon behind a set of tennis courts in the 1200 block of East 83rd Street near Avalon Park, an area which had already been searched by authorities in the months since his disappearance. Family members and the Cook County Medical Examiner's office confirmed the body was Iaron Brooks.
"An autopsy determined Brooks died of multiple gunshot wounds and his death was ruled a homicide, according to the medical examiner's office.
"Brooks, of the 7800 block of South Shore Drive, went missing Dec. 24 from the city’s Avalon Park neighborhood after he was seen getting into a car with a group of unknown men..."
