Another "Brilliant" Idea

  • The odds were good that Lonnie Holmes, 21, would be the next person to kill or be killed in this working-class suburb north of San Francisco.

Four of his cousins had died in shootings. He was a passenger in a car involved in a drive-by shooting, police said. And he was arrested for carrying a loaded gun.

But when Holmes was released from prison last year, officials in this city offered something unusual to try to keep him alive: money. They began paying Holmes as much as $1,000 a month not to commit another gun crime.

Cities across the country, beginning with the District of Columbia, are moving to copy Richmond’s controversial approach because early indications show it has helped reduce homicide rates.
Extended penal facility stays also curb these tendencies. If politicians can run police departments on the cheap, why not prisons? It would make at least as much sense at this crap.

Yeah. Because paying people to act like a normal citizen and follow the law is a good idea, right? Where's our check?

Your state-sponsored "job" is to do nothing? Literally nothing? Just don't break the law or hurt anyone else, like 99% of the rest of society, and we will pay you for it?

Sickening.

The "All In" on this fucked up
concept is making The Police
finally go away.

Right?

Another iteration of the #BL(A)M
battle cry of, "De-Fund Da Po-leece!"

If this progressive & Catered-To Constituent wet dream
gains additional traction and legitimacy, why should The Police
even bother responding to calls in America's liberal democratic,
large urban centers?

Or maybe it's a final push for the "Foo-Boo" (For Us & By Us ONLY)
Police that everybody is salivating for?

"Da Po-leece should reflect da make-up of da communerty
cuz anything else is racist an'shit!"

And it's a fucking head-scratcher as to WHY
the active contributors who CAN FLEE,
ARE FLEEING?

Good Gawd...
Will there be anything left of this city
besides bones bleaching in the sun, looted
treasury and random shots/screams of despair?

Meanwhile, the corporate, political and media
lick-hitters are elbowing each other for a spot
on Rahm's running boards as the heavy laden
executive Tahoe careens out of town...

Y'all just keep on with that
"The Police in Chicago are the problem" bullshit.

Truth:
It's beyond mere Policemen to break "it."

It's WAAAYYY beyond Policemen to
effect a fix.

Yet the progressive agit-prop narrative assigns so much
"culpability" to Policemen for the ongoing
state of affairs.

And if agit-prop doesn't convince the public
of Police "culpability," then the entire alphabet
soup of entities will be dropped into Chicago
(DOJ, FBI, ACLU, IPRA, ISR, blm etc...)
to make such so.

"You Cops are just angry for no good reason."

Naw! Really?

Police like you have no friends.

"Y'all actin' like y'all don't care about US!"
"The Cops are in a defensive crouch!"

Common sense and strong survival instincts
are part of a true Street Cop's make-up.

In GOD We Trust.
Everybody else?
Get your hands up
where we can see them.

BTW...
Anybody interested in releasing
that damning Morale Survey commissioned
by Supt. Jody "I'm No Coward!
I Ran Bravely & With Great Honor" Weis back in 2008?

Or will that fuck up the Police = the problem
narrative?

Funny...
That little snakey sneak of a mayor does
copious document dumps into the eager
mouths of local media to be regurgitated
in order to separate The Police from the
public good will but nobody of any standing
has shit to say about why that much ballyhooed
Morale Survey has been SUPPRESSED for so long.

"But when Holmes was released from prison last year, officials in this city offered something unusual to try to keep him alive: money."

This one's in the running for World's Most Peculiar Idea.

It is the job of "officials" to work at keeping innocent citizens alive, not wild-ass gunmen and habitual criminals. The latter should have to take their lumps as they come.

The other Idea is the "Lock him up before he gets killed!" meme. I thought it was "Lock him up before he hurts or kills someone else, as he cannot be safely left on the streets among normal people."

Do we have to keep the gate closed so he doesn't keep running out into traffic?

I suppose you could put a radio collar on him -- except that, just in this county, there are hundreds so accoutered who are out there crashing willy-nilly through the underbrush, and no one even has any idea where they are.

"They began paying Holmes as much as $1,000 a month not to commit another gun crime."

CHA was paying $4,000/month to house someone in a luxury downtown high-rise, and he still shot and killed someone right there in the building's workout room -- shooting from a wheelchair, yet.

Someone else who received $12 million from the city is residing in a very comfortable western suburb -- being held for multiple aggravated battery, and no bond because of probation violation on multiple felony traffic cases.

So where do I sign up for my $1,000/month, "along o' bein' good?"

Members of one of El Salvador’s most violent gangs are rounded up in their underwear after pleading with police not to arrest them because ‘they are an integral part of society’

* El Salvador gangmembers seen jailed en-masse north of the capital
* Imprisonments came shortly after after a 72-hour gang ceasefire
* In exchange for truce, they asked government to stop 'war on gangs'
* Murder rate up to around one person per hour in last three months

13:12 EST, 30 March 2016

"Members of one of El Salvador's most feared gangs were imprisoned en-masse in the wake of a 72-hour ceasefire intended to persuade the president to stop his 'war' on organised crime.

"Tattooed Mara Salvatrucha gangmembers were guarded by armed police as they ran across the yard at the Quezaltepeque jail in Quezaltepeque, ten miles north of the capital San Salvador.

"...they asked the government to hold off applying new and exceptional tactics to combat them, arguing they were an integral part of society.

"However, El Salvador's police chief, Howard Cotto, rejected the truce, saying 'there is no negotiation of any sort with any type of criminal organization'.

'We have nothing to talk about with members of criminal organizations. Our job is to investigate and bring to justice those who commit crimes,' he said."

ANOTHER example of a failure of political leadership. Rather than use a miriad of laws on the books containing prison terms, rather than toss this cat in the can for a long
time the judicial branch of local government would rather waste taxpayer dollars in a foolish manner. And alarmingly there are people who support this thinking. Were I Holmes, I would take the money confiscated from the taxpayers and do what I want anyway. So what?

It's time for the local cops to jump on the money train! No, not traffic stops, but I'm sure in the progressive state of California, the officers are required to wear the ever popular (and profitable) body cams. If Lonnie gets $1K for not shooting, how about a reward system for every time a police officer doesn't pop a dude in the commission of a crime? BLM can't even object. Call it $500 each, and thereby ends the part time jobs to pay for private school for the kiddies?

The death penalty would also stop murderers from committing more crime, if the panty waisted politicians would just use it.
However, justice is now administered and defined, by "the state". "The people" don't get justice. Crime is a money game. Laws are passed, taxes levied, so lawyers can be paid to continue to defend convicted criminals.
How loud and vocal would these lawyers be, about their convict, if they weren't collecting a paycheck from somewheres?
"The people" must take justice back from "the state". A murderer hung or shot publicly after a fair trial and conviction, will make a strong statement to all criminals.
Paying criminals not to be criminals is asinine. Putting the fear of the criminal justice system in criminals will stop most criminals. This insane need to coddle criminals has got to stop or we're all finished.

Boys and girls in blue, stay safe. We know you're professionals at crime fighting, but the world of back stabbing politicians is another game.

This is nothing new. The first Poster says look at your tax bill, so I did.
For those of you who can't, here's a little breakdown, based on my $4900 annual R.E. bill;
•Bd of Ed & Community College - $2785
•School bldg & Improvement fund, Library, City of Chicago - $1065
•Water Reclamation(still paying for DeepTunnel?), Parks,Museums,Park Dist-$611
•County of Cook, Forest Presv, St.Rogers CC Hospital and various Clinics, & CC Public Safety-$460

That's where my $480 a month goes to keeps Chicago area safe. Aside from the Water bill, City Stickers and now Garbage pickup.
I'm don't believe my money is being invested well here. I don't use much of the amenities that this City has to offer for the fees I pay.
Now pile on the the government stipends (Entitlements/SSI/Programs) that are deducted from my pay stub, just how much isdoled out each and every month to thugs? As much as $600...for each member of the household.

Paying thugs to stay crime free doesn't work.
Keeping them in Jail is way more effective, until Democrats release them.
Now try and get $1,000 from Social Security when you retire after working for 30+ years.

Rahm is considering his own payment schemes. Rahm's technique includes sending dead fish wrapped in newspaper to any criminal who doesn't take it in the alley. It was an accepted practice when Rahm worked in Congress.

And if that doesn't work, Rahm will use his most menacing tool. Rahm will get the message out by repeatedly stabbing a table with a knife calling out the names of felons plunging the knife into the table sending a loud clear message in his authoritative ballerina voice, "DEAD, DEAD".

Rahm has also considered his version of a custom notification in the Illinois Department of Corrections. Rahm would visit top level urban gangsters and tell them to knock it off while they are all lathered up in the shower room. This was another of his Congressional tricks. Commander Mario Pena, now deputy chief street operations, was on display with her custom notifications. Lets see, if you are coming clean in the shower room and either Rahm or Mario Pena do a custom notification, I would suggest this would result in a post sentencing scared straight verdict. Come clean and scared straight are winning strategies.

San Francisco is an extremely expensive place to live. Like Chicago, the supervisors in San Fran and the aldercreatures nickel and dime people with their oppressive taxing redistribution schemes. They constantly claim the public coffers are broke.

The only time liberals are worried about spending public money is when it involves incarcerating their voting base. Its a fiscal crisis when it comes to correctional spending locking up those recidivist criminals who ply their trade in those communities Prekwinkle identifies as black and brown.

But it is perfectly acceptable to divert public money to felons to keep those criminal acts alive or keep hope alive. Yet our senior citizens who worked 40 plus years of their lives are condemned to social security and Medicade for their meager existence. The new Social justice paradigm catering to criminals as taught in so many institutions of higher learning. What exactly are society's priorities?
