Avon Calling!

Oh wait, not Avon....it's the FBI:
  • SCC,

Word from a few people that since IPRA got caught calling coppers in so the FBI could attempt to question them, word is now that the feebs are knocking on doors of coppers' houses.

Report FBI visits to the FOP and also to the Department - if you discover or are informed that you are the subject of an outside agency investigation, you are required by order to notify the Department. Don't get hung up ion technicalities. It's only a To-From.
Sound advice.

A guy who use to be the job didn't take the advice we got from the older guys when we got on the job. The older guys use to say never trust a FED and never let them in your home. He didn't listen and let the FBI in his house. He wanted answers too and wanted to help catch the guy who fucked him and 4 others over.

Just as the older timers said, the FBI told him they wanted to talk to him about someone else that he knew and had dealt with. The thing about it, the bad guy is still free but my partner along with the 4 civilians ended up doing time. Even though he got the very minimum he's still fucked for letting them in his house and answering their questions without an attorney.
Later, when he hired an attorney, the first thing his attorney told him was don't ever trust a fed.

Are the feebs investigating cases, where the victims of police misconduct were paid off? I think many officers are going to be dragged in for questioning, and others punished for the code of silence. Eddie wants a whole new department, where the taxpayers are no longer going to be strung-out for police incivility. It' going to be a new day for us.

If for some reason you get a knock at your door or some feds approach you outside, activate your cell phone camera and hit record.

Do what all the criminals are doing to us. say nothing and record the feds !

Also be careful of the guy sitting next to you in roll call. When I came on many, many years ago, there was a guy that appeared to be a police groupie. Real friendly, always waved when you saw him on the street, always popped into a restaurant at the same time you happened to be there, always frequented the watering holes we went to. A few years later it was discovered that he was a FBI agent. We never saw him again after he was outed.

There was a guy on the watch. A strange guy who just didn't seem to fit in. Had an apartment that he rented in 018. One day dude burglarized his apartment and a neighbor who saw it called the police who of course entered the apartment in search of the offender. Guess what was discovered? You got it. FBI credentials belonging to the "police officer. He too disappeared never to be seen again.

Had another guy that worked tac with us. Also a nice guy but just weird, just didn't fit in. He was a nerd. A nice guy but a nerd. Never had a steady partner, always wanted to jump from team to team. One day he walks in and says he was quitting, joining the Air Marshals Service. I didn't believe him so after a while I did some sniffing around and found out that he was a FBI agent. Now to be honest with you I don't really know if the was FBI when he was with us or did he really join the FAM's and then the FBI. But I know for a fact that he is FBI now. But my point is coppers have big mouths. Keep your mouth shut and act as if your partner today is an FBI agent. Because you don't know, he really might be. I guarantee you that they are here perhaps sitting right next to you in the roll call room or maybe even in the squad car.

Not every district, not every watch. but they are here. If they were here in the early eighties, I think we can all pretty much assume they are here now with this administration and the anti-police climate we now have.

Say NOTHING to the FBI without a COMPETENT attorney, and I don't mean your buddy on the Watch who has a law degree! The attorney you select is vital, but cops to save a couple of dollars will hire the lawyer who did their house closing with a police discount. UNDERSTAND CLEARLY, LYING TO THE FBI IS AN OFFENSE FOR WHICH YOU CAN BE SENT TO PRISON! Lying to ANY Federal Agent is an offense for which you may be imprisoned. Martha Stewart went to prison for lying to an agent of the Security and Exchange Commission, because they were Federal Agents. The Feds will set you up by sending Two Agents; One Agent is a witness to verify what the other testifies to. And remember, sometimes by giving the wrong information, intentionally or innocently, we may be lying. "We are Prisoners of what we say, and Masters of what we do not say." Coppers may think they are sharper than the hillbilly Agent, but they will trip your ass up. Stay Fedal, Stay Fetal, Stay Fetal, now, by word and deed. Baby"G"

As a sworn officer you must speak with them, but it doesn't have to be immediate and it doesn't have to be in your house. Your first question should be "am i under investigation?". Then say you would like to schedule the interview at their office, at a time convenient to you and your lawyer. Absolutely never allow them to enter your home without a warrant. Tell your spouse & children to never allow anyone to enter your home. They can wait outside and speak to you on your porch.

The Feds don't want to record any interviews or interrogations this way they can twist what and say what say you lied or left out anything. They not only want to trap you they want to turn you into an informant by threatening you with "lying to a federal agent".

The FBI uses recorded conversations as evidence all the time from wire taps, undercover and sting operations. CPD must now video-record interrogations with homicide suspects. So why can't the FBI be forced to video record interviews and interrogations, if need be by court order.

This is something the FOP should step up to and get that court order.

Next arrest on signed complaints, if thug runs use your head run pursue i use the 4-8 measurement, I will pursue 4-8 sidewalk squares and broadcast description on radio, and of course do a report, go into station "Hold me down squad" and make notifications (Do not use your cell phone for police business), make sure you look concerned as you give the vin to caller! To the goof who said you have to speak to the Feds because you are "a sworn officer", you are a DAMN FOOL! No, you do not have to speak to anyone, including I.A.D., if you are involved in an investigation that is criminal in nature. You do have to participate in an internal administrative investigation, which will begin at the conclusion of any criminal investigation. You will be informed when that phase begins with the statement "The criminal portion of this investigation has concluded..." Keep in mind that due to recent court rulings portions of that investigation, Breathalyzer results, etc., may be used against you in a prosecution. The Feds will NEVER conduct an administrative investigation and order you to answer questions, they lack the authority to do so. Remember, there are many fools that will give you advice, be careful who you listen to. To you fools, STFU with your nonsense.

Really makes no sense to have bids to watches if all the commander has to do is take less senior po's from midnights and detail them to days. Prior details were only for 90 days. If this is the case then bid to midnights, get a better furlough and be detailed to days. Don't this that was the intent of the contract

I worked for the bureau and dealt with them for many years. The FBI S/A' are doing what they have to do in conducting an investigation, We always got the job done and a criminal is a criminal if it be LE people or civilians, Never once did they ever conduct themselves with total integrity.

When interviewing, we have informed the person that lying to a federal agent is a crime. The agents on rare occasions use that lying to a fed statue, mostly on white crimes and political thieves.

Most S/A' do NOT take pleasure in jamming a copper, even when they have violated their oath. The local detectives in interviewing people are more prone in trying to screw someone in criminal investigation.

Lastly, a few bad apples in every LE agencies, The FBI do not tolerate S/A' using tactics to sand bag people. FBI guys are top shelf in my humble opinion. I have never seen an agent fluffing off OTJ and the hours they work are unreal. God bless all local and Federal officers of this great country.

REVISED- "Never once did they ever conduct themselves with total integrity." S/A' always conducted themselves with TOTAL INTEGERTY in all investigations."

In addition, S/A' drink alcohol, and they are totally mandated to always be fit for duty off duty. When did anyone hear that a member of the bureau got a dui or being involved in an alcohol related accident? Most agents come from police families and very few had a gold spoon growing up. Credit where credit is due men ! The FBI have cleared so many duty related police officers of shootings where local police took down a criminal. When FBI took down the dope and crook coppers robbing dope dealer's, they got rid of criminal copper' who tarnished the badge.

Give members of the bureau a break guys, they are just doing the right thing to keep our country clean.
