then watched Commander Kilbeda and his 5 guys attempt to ASK people to move... They just ASKED. The Ambulance just sat there for 10 minutes. yes 10 Minutes with the siren wailing and no one moved. Only after some Granola eater in a beard came up and said "Let it through" did the people move. No police in turtle gear, no batons out , nothing. Everyone just watched. I was there on Cermak during NATO and whoever ran that knew their shit. We had more than enough manpower and it was utilized perfectly. This was a complete disgrace.
He was asking for a $20 toll fee for the ambulance to pass!! No pay, no pass!

I worked with a guy (a detective, no less) who, years ago on this weekend, showed up to work two hours late. He thought the expression was 'Spring back, fall forward'.

Some philosophizing on a rainy Sunday....
According to the ACLU, there is no correlation between the number of street stops by the police and the number of crimes committed.
By using the ACLU's logic, if the police were to be suddenly and magically erased from existence, the number of crimes committed would be EXACTLY the same than if the police did, in fact, exist.
However, there is such a thing as a Conditioned Response to Classical Conditioning.
When a driver sees the police, and then turns down his blasting car stereo, that is a conditioned response. He believes that if he does not, he may be punished in the form of a ticket or tow.
When an offender sees the Police, and then runs, his act of fleeing is a conditioned response to the presence of the Police. If the police are not present, he does not run.
Even when a child waves to the police, that child is demonstrating a conditioned response because merely seeing the Police leaves that child feeling safe.
One can therefore deduce that the potential for being stopped on the street will also have a conditioned response by an offender. Perhaps that offender will not carry that gun on his person, or perhaps someone serving on the corner will stash his rocks instead of carrying etc.
Therefore, the ACLU is wrong. A LARGE number of street stops of a LARGE number of criminals will leave the LARGE NUMBER OF CRIMINALS with a conditioned response to the Police.
A SMALL number of street stops will leave the SAME LARGE NUMBER OF CRIMINALS with a SMALL number of conditioned responses to the Police, which then leads to an increase in crime.
Did you hear about the white kid who is a PPO who got on this job in the last year, and is an active member of #BLM movement and seen many times at anti-police protests as a PARTICIPANT off-duty!!! This is the caliber of people we are hiring on this job who hate cops and protest at the McDonald Michigan nonsense, and at UIC for Trump. Hope none of you guys are working next to this PPO. Now they don't believe it was not a city programmed radio, but alas a small protest group showed up at 35th street and is demanding officers be fired. Ok idiots are trying to go after police for anything and everything talk about a bunch of nonsense! Guess the protesters did not anything else to do like be at work!
