Hispanic Caucus is Pissed
- Mayor Rahm Emanuel was urged Friday to reject all three finalists for police superintendent and order the Police Board to conduct a second search that produces a list that includes a Hispanic, preferably Interim Superintendent John Escalante.
The City Council’s Hispanic Caucus is furious that Escalante, who has been holding down the fort since Dec. 1, when Emanuel fired his only Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy, did not make the final cut.
Not only is he a great dancer, but Mr. Six is presiding over the biggest increase of shootings and homicides in a decade, so why not give him the top spot? Plus, he says all the right things about the ACLU not getting copies of every single ISR report (bwahaha!!!) and he threatened all the right people about numbers being down.

FOP did not interview the three democratic candidates. They would not let Alvarez in the building. Foxx never asked for the endorsement. Moore did come in and was argumentative the first minute. Reading the answers to their question was quite interesting. When Gene Williams answered questions 5 and 6 regarding diversity and integrity he apparently had his fingers crossed behind his back. He forgot to mention in question 5 regarding diversity that making supervisors more diverse is very easy if you hold study groups for Lieutenants exams with only Black sergeants that are invited to the group. He forgot to mention that the group was afforded Q&A by a senior subject matter expert (himself) for the test. He forgot to mention that the test is currently under investigation by the IG and that there are some pissed off folks that didn't score as high as they thought they would that are willing to talk. He forgot to mention that he is the target of the investigation. For question 6, integrity, refer to above comments about question 5. It would appear that finger crossing behind your back may not work this time.

The same spike would've occurred whether McCarthy was still here or we had a black, purple or green Supe.
The spike in violence has everything to do with the rank and file growing tired of being run over by Rahm and his bus and being disrespected by the "community" and the Revruns and the media and politicians. The city and CPD hopping into bed with the ACLU was the last straw or the nail in the coffin if you will. These two factors have created a largely fetal police department and the increase in violence is the result of that.

WHAT KIND OF COPPER WOULD POST THE ABOVE SHIT?
The Asian Caucaus, the LGBT Caucus, the Caucasian Caucus, the Indian Caucus, the Biracial Caucua, the German Caucus, the Polish Caucus, the Italian Caucus, the Jewish Caucus, the Greek Caucus, etc. Forget all the special interest groups. Rahm wants a black male for political reasons, the minister crowd and other professional victims want their spevific race picked. Chicago police were questioning three people of interest involved in a South Loop shooting Saturday.
The shooting, which did not injure anyone, happened shortly before 2 p.m. Officers near Balbo and Michigan avenues heard shots being fired.

Do you think that he "leads" the DOJ in certain directions on their investigation?
Anyone that becomes the next Sup would be wise to take what some of these clouted promotee's have to say about the admin staff and support staff of the CPD.
Whomever is selected needs to weed out a whole lot of inexpert staff that the previous Sups have allowed to continue in information/guidance roles.
Why would you keep someone as an advisor when they worked for the previous failed Superintendent?
Someone explain to the caucus that one of their own retired DC like EW was given a copy of the recent LT test and gave it his study group. That allowed some of their previously promoted merit people to get in the first class. So STFU.

It's a shame so many other cops don't get this simple truth. They are no different from each other except who they promise things to and whose support they court. I worked in a politician's office years ago and he's one of the big dogs now. They're all the same despite their parties. They're no different than the folks and VLs, it aint about values and principles like it's about who will fund you.

Was working the desk in 019 over the weekend and I picked up the phone at least 2Xs where 2 different kids asked if Pearl Jam was playing in The District that nite. Other desk Peeps had the same phone calls.
We told that Dolt Rubio but he didn't even know who Eddie Vedder was. He even asked us to show him a pic but wouldn't let us explain so Dolt Rubio kicked us out of The W/C's Office and demanded we come back with Mr. Vedder's mug.

Don't see how some on this blog are so enraged by all of this. Caucasians have ruled this dept since it's inception. There are still more white patrolman, sgts, lts, captains, chiefs, and ad's than blacks. If there has been a minority superintendent there's usually always a white 1st deputy and vice versa. Additionally, just about EVERY racial group on the dept has their own "separate" organization that has "helped" certain members in their career or certain people "know a guy" that helps them..yes even caucasions. N before any of you say that "ur just a hater" crap, I'm still a blue shirt with some seniority, in a shit district on 1st watch with no clout and havent been the recipient of any racial preference. Im DEFINITELY NOT in favor of the system thats been created by all this racial political bullshit but we all know when the time comes, the political winds dictate who is picked as the head of the dept. Quit whining and continue to do what you do cause in the end, we all know the white guy with 9.5 fingers on the 5th floor at City Hall is running the Dept anyway.

We all know what the make up of this department would be if they went by rank score, from entry exam to promotional, that is why it is tilted in favor of minorities. Im of the politically incorrect class, busted my ass most of my time on, I asked no favors and won't suck ass. I want a level playing field, because if it was I'd be out of patrol. So take your fucking given spots, and when you beneficiaries of the tilted playing field rest your head on your pillow at night, good luck & sleep tight with the knowledge you were given, not earned, and you aren't good enough, and never will be.

Maybe I didn't say it correctly. All I meant was that it has never been fair. Whatever group was in power promoted their own. None of the insiders want a level playing field. So it's a bit hypocritical of the white insiders to complain. I understand what you are saying, you are not an insider.
