Arrests in Shots Fired
- Two people were taken into custody after shots were fired at Chicago police officers early Wednesday in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side.
Officers in a squad car responded to a call about gunfire in the 2400 block of West 34th Street around 2:10 a.m. when they saw a group of attackers who then fired shots in their direction, said Officer Ron Gaines, a police spokesman.
The bullets damaged the squad car, but no officers or anyone else were injured.
A weapon was recovered at the scene, Gaines said.
Eddie immediately suspended the officers for their own safety. De-Escalante said there is nothing in the orders that says officers may use a squad car as cover.

Looking at CPD Superintendent Eddie Johnson is like watching a puppet and the puppet master is Rahm. It's quite obvious that Eddie Johnson is a prime example of the department who utilize nepotism, favoritism and politics to structure upper command staff. When will this insanity end??? Can someone say if the department has 10,750 members or 12, 100 because I don't know where these politicians get the numbers

The next president will probably appoint three to five Supreme Court Justices. Then those 5 to 4 split votes will become 7 to 2 votes in favor of the Democommunist agenda or we may start to get our country back. There was even a hint that BHO would become a Supreme Court Justice.

In any case, back in the good old days -- before asshat Richie The Retarded Daley became mayor, shots being fired in either McKinley Pk or Brighton Pk was unheard of, and certainly not at the Police. No way in f--king hell.

The Trib is notorious for getting neighborhoods wrong. A couple years back a shooting happened like at 56th & Artesian, clearly in Gage Park -- they said that was Brighton Park too. I politely wrote the journalist of his error. For my efforts every post of mine was moderated for a couple weeks -- many never appearing. Friggen fascists.
They should have de-escalated the situation and retreated, then gone back and given everyone a hug. The people were just expressing themselves. We have to understand their culture and value system. We should apologize for being a racist institution.

009 is the same district that the above officers were fired upon.
Also the same district where the assault rifle was used in a homicide on Fathers Day. At the scene of the Fathers Day homicide the crowd was extremely hostile to police and were threatening to kill them.
So, boss holes in 009, your officers are under siege and you're going to be berating them for not enough ISR's? Go fuck your self.

The best part of this is the fact Godsel was an inside guy his entire career. He was never the police. He was a po and worked in the commanders office and made merit sgt from the commanders office and stayed on the merit path all the way up to the top. He has a short wick, he gets angry very quick and he has very little people skills. He has no police experience and should have never been over promoted like he was. That is the major problem with this entire Department, way to many under-qualified chiefs and not enough warriors with the experience needed.

Foot post on bridges/underpasses along Lake Shore Dr from downtown to 35th St. More Michigan Ave foot posts. Safety vests required on Michigan Ave and new foot posts or you go home and are suspended from all Special Employment
#2. Second shot at VRI goes to officers/supervisors in the assigned Area Sat teams, Gun teams, and tact teams.
#3. If still not filled, then a pull from citywide lists. Pretty much, if your district doesn't have one of the 15 boxes, your chances are pretty slim on getting anything

ps: Western Ave (2400 West), is the Border Line, East is McKinley Pk neighborhood, West is Brighton Pk. At 39th Street there's a jog in the Border to the East.
Brighton has a screwed up border due to all the Belt Line RR Tracks. And not even all maps have the same border noted. On one map I lived in New City, yeah, like never.
