- After the fatal shootings of Alton Sterling and Philando Castile last week, Page May and the rest of Assata's Daughters don't want police to change. They want police to disappear.
Through a microphone Friday evening, May made the case to a mostly young and diverse crowd in Washington Park for abolishing a system of police and prisons she called fundamentally racist.
"This isn't just an issue of a few bad apples," she told them, "And this isn't an issue that we think can be reformed or fixed with more policies."
Funny, we were thinking the exact same thing. Not about the police though. HeyJackass.com lists 2,179 people (and folks) shot so far this year, 358 dead. Of those, 10 were shot by the police. That's what? Half-of-one-percent? Statistically insignificant? That's a rounding error of the carnage on Chicago's streets. One police shooting for every 218 people shot? Sounds like great odds.
And as for disbanding the police, has anyone of these idiots looked east lately? Baltimore PD was ordered to stand down, to give the community room "to destroy." The police weren't disbanded, but they weren't serving or protecting by political design. So we can see exactly what happens when the police aren't there.

Let's try another social experiment.
Fence in the Englewood district.
Give the few honest working residents
notice so they can relocate during the
social experiment. Have them sign waivers
should the decide to stay .
At midnight 01 Aug., pull all the police, fire and
social services out and lock the gate.
At the end of the month, open the gates and
count the dead bodies, looted storefronts
and burned down buildings.
If upon opening the gates, the residents are
petting unicorns, singing Kum Ba Ya
and quoting the Dali Lami, then keep the police
out for good!

1. The public must be informed when the police have stood down (either by order or on their own initiative).
2. When the police have stood down, no member of the public may be arrested or prosecuted for anything they do in self-defense.
Letting the people with no moral compass police themselves will only cause the city to burn at their hands. And right after that, the white man will be blamed for that.

SCC: Word is the shooter walked up to the patrol car and opened fire on the officer.
MILWAUKEE —A Milwaukee police officer was shot in a "vicious" attack early Sunday as he sat in his squad car while colleagues investigated a domestic disturbance call, an official said.
The suspected shooter, identified by police as a 20-year-old West Allis man with two felonies on his record, was found dead in a nearby yard, they said.
The incident began as a response to a domestic disturbance call near South 17th Street and West Morgan Avenue at about 2 a.m. During that investigation, someone fired shots into the squad car, striking an officer "multiple" times," Asst. Police Chief William Jessup said in a morning press conference.
The officer, a 31-year-old man with 13 years of service, was taken to Froedtert Hospital. Milwaukee police Sergeant Tim Gauerke said the injuries were not life-threatening.
"This is just another example of the risks our officers take each and every day to protect these citizens," Jessup said.
While investigating that shooting, officers on the scene heard gunshots and discovered the body of a young man in a nearby yard, Jessup said. That man is believed to be the same person who was involved in both the domestic incident and the shooting of the police officer, Jessup said.
He said it appeared that man's death was a suicide.
Prayers for the recovering officer...injuries described as serious but he is expected to make it.

Karen Lewis no longer has any credibility with the Chicago Teachers Union, she openly supports Page May who is a Charter School Teacher that puts Chicago Public School Teachers out of work . Lewis is a hypocrite. Toss her as out, let her get a job with Page May at a charter school.
Better yet, let's regulate Police manpower by taxes paid to support the Police. Little taxes paid, little Police Presence. Large taxes paid , large police presence.

Anyone see the documentary called Cartel Land from Netflix? A small town decided to have their own police/ army group, to take control from cartels. They needed up getting beefs from the people they served, getting into trouble, all got arrested by the army and federal if I recall correctly. The community does not automatically do better than a well trained police force with plenty of knowledge and resources.
And yet, there May was on a CTU paid-for stage, introduced by CTU members, speaking at a CTU event.
If you let the dog off the leash, it's still your dog, no matter how it behaves. Witness the #blm disavowals lately - still their members, but "we don't condone violence, we just preach it."
And a Twitter rebuttal? Big fucking deal. If someone pulls this shit on a big public stage, we want a big public apology and disavowal of anything the said that might reflect badly on the organization - as it has.
