What Matters?
We keep hearing something matters, and then the headlines scream stuff like this:
- A school bus driver was wounded in a shooting in Chicago's West Garfield Park neighborhood, officials said.
The 31-year-old bus driver was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital for treatment, officials said. The driver's family said he was released from the hospital and resting at home on Saturday.
Police said the shot came from outside the bus and entered through the driver side window. The driver suffered a graze wound to the head. Had the bullet been an inch or two to the right, the driver could have been killed.
A great big yellow school bus - you know what rides on school buses? Kids. Lots of kids. And this one gets lit up driving through the west side. You'd think a bus might give people (or folks) some pause about where their rounds are going, but nope. Life means even less when you're protecting the spot or dishing out some violations.

Sadly collateral damage happens. When school buses get in the way of serious and necessary shootings, too bad. Besides the level of marksmanship in Chicago is really really low.

That it was a bus driver for Christ the King Jesuit College Prep is especially sad and ironic. The school is part of the Cristo Rey system, where impoverished students get invaluable (and otherwise unattainable) work experience at offices in the Loop. Their earnings help cover the cost of their education while giving them a path out of the 'hood and a life of gangs and crime (www.ctkjesuit.org/).
May God and Chicago's (far too) thin blue line continue to protect them.

We suck at everything---Baltimore shooters kill 1 in every 3 shot....and Chicago gangbangers are 1 in Six???...Granted our total number shot is much higher--- but imagine what a little skill and care would do for cleaning up the crap...it would even cut down on the collateral innocent bystander victims, which would lower the total number shot and improve our kill average.
How about that 17 year old girl shot in the head with a rifle round in the back of the yards neighborhood.
Just practicing for shooting at a party bus over the weekend. Wanting to get the sight picture and lead right on a large bus. Sort of like duck hunting.
And where is Fr. Faker or #blm? Is Kimisha Foxx meeting with Prickwrinkle to save the kids? Not even Forest Gump spoke out to protect his many kids.

Maybe if we had posted signs indicating that shooting at school buses are prohibited much like selling drugs near a school. School bus routes should be designated a Safe Passage Route with bright yellow signage.
Maybe the school buses can be painted United Nations blue with peacekeeper emblems and the children adorned in peacekeeper blue battle helmets and Kevlar body armor. All we need to complete the U.N. mandates is to have a dictator with one entrenched party rule complete with an oppressive corrupt ruling government.

Obama, Prekwinkle, and Rahm all failed to secure the 2016 summer Olympics. Chicago was seen as too violent and way too politically corrupt. If the inner city schoolchildren can’t be safe in America's third largest urban city, what can be said of the thug culture which no one has courage to expose especially the politicians who run the show? I think the Olympic committee was onto something so obvious that Cook County voters have continually overlooked.
Time to procure a contract with Brinks with their fleet of bullet resistant armored military grade vehicles. Break out with the federal money for connected contracts, graft and cronyism. No more flunkey- ass buses without air conditioning, a lack of flat screened televisions, the standard infestation of cock roaches and bedbugs and gaudy rides lacking flashy chrome spinner rims on skinny high profile tires. Our children deserved better. Inner city children should be transported to school in armored buses like third world countries. Our children deserve dignitary protection like politicians with the small army of security specialists. And by the way, what exactly do politicians do that makes them such a vulnerable security risk?

Maybe if the City is so concerned, they could add armor plating and bullet proof glass to the bus! But the City just hates kids, that's why they don't spend the money on the "Community" >sarcasm<
Let's address the black elephant in the room. Black Lives Matter is a hypothetical, convenient movement built on falsehoods, misinformation and lies. They only protest police. Yet black on black crime is the cause of most violence in chicago. Over 80% of shooting victims and offenders are black. In 2015 987 people were killed by police nationwide, 50% white, 26% black. In the last decade 40% of cop killers were black.
But as usual facts and evidence mean nothing to most of the black community, doesn't fit there narrative.
