There's a saying: birds of a feather flock together. Mt Greenwood is a tight neighborhood because it has values, and people want to live with those who hold similar values.
And to those who think the police are racist, just ask the black victims of crime how they are treated by the police. don't ask the criminals. ask the victims. Everyday police officers are responding to black victims of crime. We render medical aid, we drive them to shelter, we make reports, detectives follow up with them, we've looked for their lost children and lost senior citizens, we've put in jail people who victimize black people.
If the police were really racist, they would tell the victims to screw themselves and let the bad guys go, but everyday they are arresting, chasing, and fighting people who victimize blacks? Does that sound racist? And if people really thought the police department was racist, wouldn't they stop calling 911 for help?

In 1974, when we had only 140 more murders than we will see this year, Chicago had a full 1,000,000 more residents! Finally, if you look at the numbers for the past 60 years, there has never, ever been a single year-to-year increase in the number of homicides and shootings. This is uncharted territory and it all rests at the hands of Rahm, who broke the police department in a way that cannot be fixed.

I spoke with my friend the other day and mentioned that he was of a different heritage than I.
I asked him, why given that he is of a different heritage than I did he and I grow up to have strong moral values, strong Christian beliefs, and a good work ethic.
The answer, because our parents and our community instilled those beliefs in us.
The black community does not and never has had that.
Parents that can't even take the time to read to their young children.
Parents that can't see that keep a child out till 10, 11, 12, 1am or 2 am is not the best thing for that child.

Parents that do not foster their children to become the best that they can be in life.

The part of the 19th ward in the 60655 zip code had a 90% turnout in the last big election and has always had a strong Republican showing. The part of the ward in Beverly and Morgan Park is where those other folks live who all want free stuff.

I spoke with my friend the other day and mentioned that he was of a different heritage than I.
I asked him, why given that he is of a different heritage than I did he and I grow up to have strong moral values, strong Christian beliefs, and a good work ethic.
The answer, because our parents and our community instilled those beliefs in us.
The black community does not and never has had that.
Parents that can't even take the time to read to their young children.
Parents that can't see that keep a child out till 10, 11, 12, 1am or 2 am is not the best thing for that child.
Parents that do not discipline their children in a way that teaches the child the right correct behavior.
Parents that do not foster their children to become the best that they can be in life.
Parents that when their teenager brings a gun home, lots of money home, property that the parent knows is not their childs home, that the parent does not do the right thing either and turn the child in, the gun in, ask where the money came from, etc etc etc.
A community that knoiwinly allows these children and teens to terrorize it.
The black community will never rise above that what they are now unless and until they start teaching morals and values to their children.

The top 4 neighborhoods Austin 396 shootings with 74 murders,Englewood 324 shootings with 77 murders, Garfield Park 284 shootings with 48 murders, North Lawndale 198 shootings with 28 murders,etc etc. No BLM out there for most of those. Are all black areas bad I'm not saying that,but if you are the righteous man you claim I would not let fools speak for all black people. Do something. I hear nothing but crickets. I'm an old white guy I can't,but I must be different. Thank God. I am in my insulated neighborhood now and moving out of this once great city. God bless the police.
