016 Going to Hell

Another shooting (murder?) within a mile of the last killing - within half-a-mile of the station:
  • A 17-year-old boy was shot in the head on Tuesday afternoon in the Jefferson Park neighborhood on the Northwest Side.

The attack happened about 4:45 p.m. near the intersection of Higgins and Linder avenues, according to Chicago Police.

He was taken in critical condition to Lutheran General Hospital in Park Ridge, police said. No one was in custody for the shooting.
Hey, you know what would make all of this violence go away? A 100-unit low-income CHA building!

I grew up next to the Habetler Bowl, walked to St. Cornelius Catholic through grade school. Used to bicycle up Northwest Hwy to see aunt and uncle in Park Ridge. Left my toys outside.

Police and Fire lived there, they calmed the neighborhood. Doesn't seem to count for much anymore. The 60s are a long time ago.

This is the way Detroit fell apart and housing projects was how Coleman Young did it. If you're thinking of moving in the next ten years, the time to sell is now.

A stark example of Jesse Jackson's idea is the south suburban communities; Calumet City, Lansing, South Holland, Dolton, Country Club Hills, Homewood, Glenwood, Chicago Heights etc; all gradually destroyed over the last 30 years by Section 8 housing vouchers, no money down no document HUD loans, exorbitantly high property taxes. Former stable residents who took pride in their community fled to live in Indiana and those who remain out of choice or inability to move are left to live with the shitheads and the downward flushing continues to be propagated by stupid politicians like Toni and Tommy.

Police officers in these communities Thank God, do not have residency requirements. Why be forced to live with the shitheads after dealing with them all day.

It's already starting to look like Beach and Spaulding.

You take a 100 unit building of this and put it next to you.

I hope you wake up tommorow and find that your neighbor sold his house and it's going to be turned into a group home for violent, mentally ill people from all over Chicago.

The idea to spread low income was Obamas , which I'm sure he got from our fine black caucus. He wanted to approve vouchers for anywhere the low income choose to live including north shore suburbs. Let's see what area he moves to post pres.

How come a white 62-year-old has been trying for 20 years -- two Section 8 lotteries worth -- and gotten nothing, while 28-year-old black women with five out-of-wedlock kids and a succession of "live-in boyfriends" get "supervoucher" townhomes with a lake view?

The system is very visibly "for us, by us."

Like those "anti-housing-discrimination" radio ads where a black guy calls and is told "place already rented," but a white guy is told to come on over. It works the other way, too -- except on an institutionalized government basis. Screens for voice, name, number of "chiluns." It's just implicit. Chicago 311 the same.

Hey, look at the *bright side*, Rahm's keeping a campaign promise.

Tiny Dancer stated that he won't be happy until every neighborhood has the same level of police protection and one neighborhood will be as safe as any other. The only thing was that none of the stellar 'journalists' in Chi's Fake News Media asked him what he meant by that.

So by pulling cops from once safe neighborhoods and putting them in the ghetto. Not hiring any new cops in numbers to replace those who leave. And him arbitrarily cutting 3,000 cops from his first day in office -- Flaming Tutu's keeping his promise on the level of Police Protection -- making the entire City a Free Fire Zone.

And by putting Section Eight Housing that fills up with Gangbangers and other assorted dregs from the Ghetto as soon as the paint is dry on every vacant lot he can find, no matter what it may do to that area, hes making sure that every 'hood is as safe as any other. It's just that the level of 'safety' is based on Englewood and the West Side.

So at least you can't call Tiny Dancer a Liar. He just didn't say he'd bring the entire city down to the level of a ghetto. (since ya can't bring the bad up, make the good go down.)

You know what would REALLY make all his violence go away? I massive state wide, especially city wide education campaign that apologizes to the people of Illinois for the wicked results of GUN CONTROL, with the solution being a overt and sustained campaign to encourage people to GO ARMED and to DEFEND THEMSELVES - with a CLEAR presentation to people that NO COPS are going to bother them much less arrest them for doing now more than exercise their right to keep and bear arms.

Fair enough, at first there will be some carnage, as criminals are taught that NO MORE are their targets disarmed by GOVERNMENT, and a quite a few will have to pay the ultimate price, shamefully dying over trying to rob someone of their pocket money and cell phones, but that problem will solve itself in short order as they learn that robbery is a DEADLY proposition.

Spread exercise of right, or spread liberalism (government oppression and criminalization of rights exercised). That is the CHOICE here folks, and cops play a KEY role in that decision. If cops refuse to arrest people for exercising their rights, well, liberalism dies an ugly death. It starves, because the only reason it gorges and grows now is because cops are conned into feeding it. Wake up. See it. Starve IT.

The fact that he is not listening or representing his constituents is amazing. I wish a watch dog agency would review emails (though much is not written now a days), shell companies, etc.. I am not against this structure if there was transparency in analysis of all options (which I don't think other options were considered) and if it represented the constituent's wishes. Chicago will be the next Detroit..... I know people have been saying that for years, but every year, we get closer and closer.

After the Feds bailed out Detroit it has become a safer neighborhood. Downtown is completely renovated and they are growing farms on vacant properties. Chicago has become the poster city for crime.

Chicago is not anything like Detroit. Detroit is loaded with abandoned buildings and has no tax base
Was downtown last night for my birthday. Place was packed restaurant full. Ate at Chicago Chop restaurant Bar , bar waiting area and restaurant was full at 530. This is a place with $50 to $65 steaks$62 prime rib and $10 to $15 drinks and you couldn't get a table. That's a lot of tax dollars for Chicago and every other steakhouse downtown is also bringing in the tax dollars. Chicago is ok

Of course the tax money is coming in . . . for now, anyway. The biggest problem isn't lack of revenue. The city and county have been quite merciless about squeezing every drop of blood from the taxpayers that they can.

Property tax hikes, utility rate increases, usage fees, permit fees, licensing and inspection fees, vehicle stickers, zoning variances - obviously, the city isn't going broke. All the existing revenue streams keep creeping up, and there are new revenue sources such as the soda tax that come into play soon.

So where is all this money going? Ali-Rahma and his 50 thieves manage to squander an ungodly amount of money on "quality of life" projects such as bike lanes and planters and dog parks (oh,my!) . . . but they manage to overlook real quality of life issues, such as not needing Kevlar to ride the CTA. How much use does a corpse have for a bike lane?

Property value will go to shit once the north side projects are built and crime will skyrocket. Vote for Merck to get the residency negotiated and get the hell out of there

You might want to ask Brock why he is in support of these "north side projects" first. Look at Brocks comments of support on Arena's Facebook page.
