- Chicago Police Supt. Eddie Johnson has a busy West Side district under the command of a cop with a long history of misconduct allegations, a WBEZ analysis of police records shows.
Cmdr. James Sanchez has been a subject of at least 90 formal complaints since joining the force in 1985, according to the records, obtained through the Illinois Freedom of Information Act. Most of those complaints alleged excessive force or improper searches.
And a very close association with SOS's most famous miscreant - they were partners.
But none of this raised any eyebrows back when he rocketed up the promotional ladder. Funny how that works out. Not a single investigative reporter was able to put two and two together and you know - hold politicians accountable for the mess they've made of the Department.

But hey, it doesn't matter - he's maxed out. He'll get a six-figure pension.

Are you kidding? Politicians are seldom, if ever, held accountable for the consequences of their actions. After all, these are democrat politicians you are talking about.
Special Ed may get a six figure pension, but will he get a new kidney? Will he get the fair Lt. to say yes and become his bride?

I still cannot believe 85-4A, That must have been the most promoted class in Police Department History. It is amazing to think there were very view regular POs from that class. 85-4B was also good. I looked things up before retirement, but they are still getting promoted. Jimmy's getting to be the last of the group.

(Ch. 11 has been running a documentary extolling the virtues of the black panther party, with Chicagoans such as Bobby Rush and retired "activist officers" Howard Saffold & Renault Robinson.). PBS also has a commercial describing their role reporting news - it prominently shows their coverage of #blm in Ferguson, MO and Baltimore.
As much as PBS has informative and enjoyable programming - ITS TIME TO STOP DONATING to these two groups. Pretty much like leaving the Fr. Faker $3 bills at church collections. Our role in society has been sullied and stifled - we need to push back at those institutions who continually denigrate law enforcement while at the same time demanding exemplary service when their Volvo is stolen or their purse is snatched.

You do work you get complaints, that's a fact of police work. My complaint is the guy who shoots up the chain without having done anything. Prime example, E. Welch. Can anyone list any activity, not even achievements, that the guy has done during all of his merit promotions. He spent around 5 months as a ghost Lt in 011 before being promoted to commander. That's more concerning than a working cop who got the typical nonsense beefs.
The supt along with his command staff don't have a clue and no one cares.. Has anyone seen Wheeeeeezzzzzzeeeee?

The new policy, effective Fall 2017, was created in an attempt to eliminate opportunities for students to write mean words and racial slurs, according to a campus official.

When assessing CH 11's invectives, one need not resort to vicious name-calling or opprobrious epithets. One need only present the facts. Permit me this forum to rant. CH 11 would have us believe that its platitudes are the carriers of civilization and that without them history is silent, literature is dumb, science is crippled, and thought and speculation are at a standstill. The reality, in contrast, is that CH 11 has, on a number of occasions, expressed a desire to defile the air and water in the name of so called good works. On all of these occasions I submitted to the advice of my friends, who assured me that it's often hard to decipher its haughty comments. Obviously, CH 11 flees clarity whenever it involves unpleasant shouldering of responsibility, but I profess that in this case, the “in” thing this season for its coalition of cocky popinjays and batty, blasphemous nebbishes is vandalizing our neighborhoods. Every time I strike that note, which I guess I do a lot, I hear from people calling me fractious or lackadaisical. Here's my answer: If you're like most people you just shrug your shoulders whenever you hear about CH 11's latest shenanigans. When your shoulders get tired of shrugging I hope you'll realize that the legality of hornswoggling people into voting against their own self interests is something for the sharp-suited legal types to look into. All I can say on the matter is that I am reminded of the quote, “No matter what terms are used, it's a brassbound rampallion of epic proportions.” This comment is not as belligerent as it seems because CH 11 acts as if it were King of the World. This hauteur is astonishing, staggering, and mind-boggling. I could be wrong about any or all of this, but at the moment, the above fits what I know of history, people, and current conditions. If anyone sees anything wrong or has some new facts or theories on this, I'd love to hear about them.

Sanchez was already a detective when JF went down on SOS bullshit. Everyone who worked in SOS at time JF did is painted with a broad brush - guilt by association. Anyway- Sanchez is a standup guy. He is for real, won't hurt a copper whether he's a worker or not. Genuinely cares about his co-workers.

Kind of funny how whenever the department promotes a desk person everyone complains. Now they promote someone considered a worker and everyone complains. Reality is no one will ever be happy unless it's them that get promoted.

SCC I completely disagree with you guys on this. This Commander is probably one of the most hard working guys you will ever come across. He genuinely cares about Police Officers. He also backs his people 100 percent, he is not a sell out like the current Supt. who won't even strip his girlfriend for cheating and intervening in a Police investigation that involves her son. It's amazing how everyone wants to jump on a working Policeman when some allegations appear. Jimmy is a good Policeman and was very effective back when the good citizens would call 911 and say that "they have a gun" to get the Police service faster. If they were not satisfied with the outcome, they would call OPS and beef on you. Why would you get all upset if a good working Policeman gets a merit bump instead of a balllicker that never could be a pimple on the asshole of a good Policeman?
Maybe it's time to totally eliminate all merit promotions! Everyone wants one but only the clouted seem to get them now. The clouted don't need merit since they can just get away with getting the answers to the test...
