Last week, we reported on the re-emergence of nighttime street fights along Halsted. The brawls are no longer limited to weekend nights. You’re just as likely to find yourself amongst one on Tuesday and Wednesdays now.

No covert vehicles , no foot patrol, no undercover stings, no search warrants. Half of the 1906 cars have under three years on the job and they are in uniform now in a unmarked car. There should be two or three teams working the streets in area's where gay's are being accosted and robbed. Once these punks get a taste of being shot, arrested and in some cases charged with a hate crime, I think, they will rethink Boys Town as an easy environment to commit a crime. The idea is to drive them back into there neighborhoods. The word is containment, and keeping them in one place to make it a lot easier to break them down. The alternate purpose is to get the gay community behind a decoy mission, because they have a political weight and influence that possibility could help us in the long run. Fuck it, I don't know why I even make comments, the atmosphere is so fucked up it's going no where...........

Anyplace else in the country, the real estate/housing cost/rent is more expensive near the waterfront. Uptown (worse than the bad east side of Detroit), Edgewater and Rogers Park all have more expensive rents and real estate

Lakeview has the random bullets flying at 3600 N along with Lakeview East (not just plain Jane E. Lakeview) 40 year homeowners getting beat with bats during a home invasion.

Yup. The boats, ATVs, Harley's, SUVs, cottages on the lake, muscle cars, classic cars, project cars, gun collections, younger 3rd wives all went for pennies on the $ when the UAW was put in check in Michigan too.
Detroit police and fire lost nothing in their pension. Bet they had fun with the young wife SUV Harley and the contagion the lake. Sounds like fun and they had some great lives. Be happy for they

That's what gets us in these situations such as the city not keeping manpower numbers up to where they should be, because flunkies working VRI, worrying about theirselves.
