Rifles Again
- Two teenage boys were killed in a shooting Wednesday morning in the North Lawndale neighborhood on the West Side.
Corey Hill, 16, and 15-year-old Jacquez Mack were standing on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of South Lawndale at 9:06 a.m. when a masked suspect armed with a rifle got out of a silver vehicle and fired multiple rounds, according to Chicago Police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
Hill and Mack were shot multiple times and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, where they were pronounced dead, according to police and the medical examiner’s office. Hill lived in the Austin neighborhood, and Mack lived in East Garfield Park.
And with a 90+ Degree weekend with no rain on tap, it's a safe guess that the west and south sides will be looking to make up the "shortage" of killings from this spring.

But we Accept It as the New Normal. And at the same time CPS is teaching kids about Jon Burge, and the ACLU and the Democrat Party is encouraging young people to join the "Resistance"! Fifteen and sixteen year olds raised by caring, loving,nurturing parents would cracked open those Chinese level math and hard science books in their advanced placement classes at one of those Chicago Public School science academies by 9 a.m. If only a truancy or school absentee report could have been completed and the "children" relocated to the appropriate institution of higher learning.
But wait, those mandated reporting requirements from the left wing extremists from the aclu have reared their ugly head once again. The brilliant legal minds at legal affairs have sent out a message that in addition to a school absentee report, officers will now submit an Investigative Stop Report (ISR).
Extremists who encourage lawlessness and a chaotic society doing business as the aclu, will take your well intentioned lawful police duties and skew it into a profiling or civil right injustice based on complexion or demographics. Steer clear of any ISRs because you may end up on the receiving end of some money hunger plaintiffs attorney. Don't give your adversaries rope which to hang you.
Avoid legal confrontation and keep yourself out of harms way. If it requires an ISR, you are setting yourself up for future headaches. And make sure you put your body camera on so a judge can direct punitive damages to redistribute your wealth to the disadvantaged or underserved and his buddies from the bar association. Be safe and be smarter.
Who is responsible for these youths? Why is your child not in school? As the usual case, someone is collecting a state check as guardians of these youth. Follow the money and ask yourself if all the compassion in the form of checks has improved the welfare of the community or hastened its demise?
The Ford Motor Company fleet division that supplies police vehicles can unfit vehicles with bulletproof or bullet resistant Kevlar materials but of course The city of Chicago will not spend the extra money to protect its police officers. Many municipality's fully equipped the police vehicles and they don't drive around in cars that are better fit for the demolition derby circuit then for police work! We are also down thousands of police officer and the police officers that are still doing something to attempt to protect the innocent RVing bastardized constantly by the dishonest fake news media 24 hours a day seven days a week then we have a command structure that is laughable cheating lying just adds to it from the top elected all the way down to the cheating test takers they get away with this criminal act they are all in collusion with the investigator of Inspector General obviously who is just awarded a Euge four year contract.
It is the Chicago way unfortunately for the working police officer every day it gets harder and harder her to do the job!

Consider this. The three juveniles and the two dead juveniles all had something in common. All had been assigned pro-bono attorneys from the Lawndale Christian Legal Center. They show up at the station and in juvenile court to make sure their case gets undone so they can commit more crime. By the way the parent(s) do not show up in court nor at the station when the children they collect checks on catch that case or are criminally justice involved.
Who pays for their legal bills. As a non profit, taxpayer money is appropriated through grants and other not so obvious public money appropriations. It a self perpetuating cycle of crime in democrat voting Lawndale which is one of the most crime ridden communities in the nation. Follow the good intentions not the money. And note a certain state representative has his headquarters right in the middle of the Lawndale Christian Community Center on the Ogden Avenue corridor. And don't forget to register to get the vote out at Ill representative Arthur Turner's office which is located on Ogden in the Lawndale Christian mega center.

Over the years I've saved my old vest panels, I'm wondering what the ballistic properties would be, if any or even somewhat slight, to retro fit these outdated panels into a DYI interior ballistic shield that could be placed/propped/affixed between driver/passenger and the interior door panel?
Panels are designed to be worn and not hung like drapes, but I'm sure there could be some benefit and use for old outdated Kevlar.
Anyone want to chime in?

I know your joking but trust me, they smoked enough weed for a lifetime. They were frequent "guests" of the CPD. And whoever above talked about the Lawndale Christian Legal Center you hit it on the head. You have these wanna be do gooders coming to the station and the JISC with fishing expeditions protecting these predators. I know everyone has a right to counsel but all they do is release these feral youth back into the community to commit crimes against the decent citizens who live there. I almost feel sorry for the citizens then I remember they vote the same Democrats in time after time. Well, this is what you get.

Kevlar will not stop high power rifle rounds. You need the hard ballistic plates like the US Army and Marines use in Afghanistan. Do the CPD tac teams use them too? Or steel plates like Patriot Plates (one company of many that sells them). Take an hour. Read up about them. There are NIJ standards for bullet proof vests.

The Israelis have tank armor that looks likes pipes. Basically the outer part of the armor takes the brunt of the round (starts the expansion) and the rest of it stops the remains of the round the way I understand it. You may be able to deploy the old Kevlar plates in the same manor by having an outer layer, a space between and then the inner layer.
Looks like we're going to need more evidence markers, or misc-x cards.

The Abrams M1, a US tankdoes a similar thing. Might be a good idea if a system on a vest could do the same
