- Dart brags about harassing his employees by "making their lives tricky." The Cook County Sheriffs Office has the highest suicide rate in the nation and this jerk is bragging about harassing his employees!! 15 minute mark of video..

What is really sad is other departments are showing videos of county officers getting hit and telling their officers that this not how you do things as an officer. Disgusting.

The Heartland Cafe is known for its hatred of police officer. In fact they, they have a large picture of the owner overturning a squadroll during the 68 riots.
Dart is running for mayor, he wanted to last time but had some "family" issues. He's looking for the black vote which is why he is doing what he is doing at County Jail and aligning with Prekwinkle.
He is not harassing them, he is stressing them and testing them. This keeps them on their toes and ready for anything. It is called realistic training. The High Sheriff knows what he is doing.

Sounds like there is no crime in Cook County or Chicago. No shootings and killings. Innocent people only in courts, the Court are wrong. So I watched the interview and the first thought that ran through my mind was, boy these three jokers look like they should be standing in line for a bowl of soup.... Second thought was (and let me make this clear, fuck Dart) he didn't say all of his employees, only the slugs (or that's what I took away from it). So while everyone who calls in sicken they can be off for super bowl Sunday and major holidays and fucks the guy who has a work ethic, I agree, make their lives harder! They don't seem to have that issue when fucking their co workers over by shorting staff and putting those who came to work in danger.
I don't like the man one bit, but he wasn't talking about the CO's that are coming to work and doing the right thing.

Not trying to offend you but you have no idea what your talking about.The I'm only after the bad employees is nothing but smoke and mirrors. Dart fucks with everybody who doesn't kiss his ass, it's called narcissistic personality disorder. He comes up with insane ideas and those that don't applaud and throw roses are marked for torture. The people around him play the game to keep their spot and whisper to each other what an insane person he is. It is well known he has been an a**hole since he was a kid, he is said to self medicate and he has been a pot head for years. He will destroy the career of anyone he even thinks looked at him the wrong way and will hand the world to the ones who have him figured out and hold him in amazement. Yes he would love to be the mayor and made a half ass attempt last time but the machine knows exactly what a nut he is and wouldn't back him. It appears he has decided to hitch his wagon to the "community" and attempt bigger things. He will never be mayor because being a vindictive nutcase with a hand picked dirty merit board and most of the judiciary, politicians and media humoring him for those ever increasing exempt jobs for friends and family does not a mayor make. The unlawful terminations,suicides and general fuckery will continue to destroy lives of sheriffs officers but the powers that be will not allow him any further up the ladder. He is the elephant in the room they ignore because it's lucrative to them. An Officer losing their job or committing suicide is no big deal to these heathens....ask any Cop anywhere!
How come tom gets a manned squad car 24 hours to protect his house? They cant fool us neighbors when they park across the street in the driveway of the house that is being rehabbed. Do they have permission to be there?

Why does a Sheriff need protection anyways. He's not a Senator or cabinet member. Its an ego thing for him cause he thinks he's more important than he is.
Hey moron he said he would make the "lives tricky" of those who didn't do what he wanted, not just . Should I remind you of the John Maher case, a war hero Dart harassed.. Then Dart realized he may have committed a crime and quietly settled the suit in the high six figures.. He served three tours of deployment and Dart was pissed. Asked anyone exempt with knowledge they will tell you Dart had a hissy fit when Maher told Dart his SEAM policy was unlawful..
John Maher, was Assistant General Council to Sheriff Tom Dart. Maher was also a Lieutenant Colonel in the military. When he was called on by his country to serve Sheriff Dart took exception and questioned Maher's loyalty. Maher was then fired by Dart after completing his deployment.. Dart then justified his firing by making false allegations against Maher including but not limited too, Rosemary Nolan entering Maher in LEADS charging him with theft for a Sheriff's employee ID the same Day Robert Egan sent him notification to turn over his Credentials. Undersheriff Zelda Whittler told Maher that Sheriff Dart lost trust in him for serving his Country. Maher also alleges Sheriff Dart had investigators go through his personal belongings looking for dirt on him.
I know a retired high ranking who once attended Dart's accountability meetings. He said if they video taped Dart he could never run for anything again. He told me Dart would have mental breakdowns. Told me Dart entered a courthouse once and had a mental meltdown when one the Sheriff's asked him to show his ID. Wanted the chick fired for doing her job. He said the guy is a total basket case almost to the point they felt pity for him.
Asked the infamous Terry Hake (Operation Greylord) about Tom Dart. He took a 35k pay cut to go back to ASA and get away from the crazy man with the toupee.

Agreed did the same thing as a matter fact they wanted to charge me to eat at a retirement party that was thrown for me and another police officer a police sergeant!
When I first started reading Shaved's Blog, I didn't know why he hated Tom Dart.
Now I know.

He was talking about non union employees. Judges to be specific. Not corrections officers. However that being said. There's no reason to limit why he wouldn't take the same approach to his jail staff. If he brags openly about that he obviously feels superior to the people that work under him union or not. Nary a mention of the difficult condition his officers have to endure in that shitHole of a jail at 26 and Cal. He's a narcissist and a vindictive one with an ego for sure.
Thank you for putting the spotlight on Sheriff Dart. While much has been made of his reform efforts little is heard of his mismanagement of resources, the countless lawsuits by employees. And the current investigation NY the Cook County IG of his threats and intimidation against officers injured on the job. Additionally their are higher ups in the County who are involved as well. Investigations are ongoing with SEC and FBI. I would to hear from others who have had similar experience. Contact me paulreman@yahoo.com.
