Totally Deserving of Promotion
Attempting to rule by fear, while fearing to be discovered as incompetent:
- While hoping against all hope I guess this came as no surprise. Considering the amount of heat on her, Ward has been operating with impunity in 003 and doing plenty of questionable things for months with no fear of reprisal.
While on midnights she began screwing around with officer's time due by literally throwing away slips, mostly for white officers. Those officers would then be surprised when they saw that they were working on a day they put in for. She wouldn't allow them to drop a P-Day or see who did get the time off (usually her people) while she claimed she never got the slips and blamed it on the watch secretary.
This practice drove many good working officers to transfer rather than deal with her. She then moves to 3rd watch and starts finding ISR's for officers and telling them to complete multiple sets for suspicious activity they didn't even witness. Couple that with locking people inside businesses then calling for a paper car to arrest them for gang loitering without having even dispersed them first (then telling the paper car to call the ad-desk and have them add a ghost dispersal a few minutes before she came over the air) and there is no way someone like that could have scored in the 1st class.
Now this same person is going to be the Tac Lt before her star rises even higher. Whats funny is that her alma mater Texas Southern gave her an alumni of the year award which is proudly displayed in the 003rd district lobby during all of this and while named in an investigation. You have got to be kidding me.
Captain - guaranteed. And pushing for "quotas" within a month.

The IG has been officially requested to look into multiple rule violations by IAD and News Affairs regarding the Sgt who was investigated for the GoFundMe. All the reports that prove they lied, published lies, have been given to the IG. Pretty much handed them a complete proveable case. Let's see how they "investigate" this one.

You guys and gals have to tell her, " you stopped him/her. You have to fill it out. I'm not falsifying an official report". If she doesn't like it, call the street deputy. Call the union and DOCUMENT EVERYTHING. Make copies of any and all slips and write on your copy who you have it to and what time/date you did so. Come in with goose eggs.

Regarding days off, I never missed a day off once I mustered the courage to put in a par form for the day without pay. Their butts puckered when I did. I only had to do it once, after that they never refused. If you can't afford taking a day without pay then you are living beyond your means and have imposed upon yourself a self slavery subject to the whims of these folks that you so hate.
The Chicago Police Department is totally imploding from the corruption internally that is allowed to move forward Ferguson is nothing but an overpaid political hack the cheating scandal even a child could figure out how corrupt it is. If you are a police officer with no clout no political sponsorship you would be fired and prosecuted to the full extent of any laws! In this day and age and this department how can you actually even respect the rank when corrupt people are wearing the uniform that many police officers have died for? Eddie you and your entire staff need to stop wearing our uniforms turn your face away from us leave you are all a total disgrace we Will never respect any of you we may work in the same areas as you do as far as respect forget about it. Officers watch your backs follow only general orders or if these clowns order you to do something document it! We must protect ourselves people that cheat like this will quickly dispose of you in anyway they can if you do anything at all that may be interpreted as improper no more will they help anyone because simply the stupidity is overwhelming from the command staff.
Does 003 have body cameras? If so, use them! That would be amazing recording for the Feds. And if you do have them and did happen to record that, please call the FBI tip line for Chicago field office (312) 421-6700.

Entire Tact Teams/Mission Teams are talking about going back to the watch and collectively putting in there To/Froms. The current Lt. Barnes had to be the worse IAD/Tact Lt. we ever had, I'm sure Ward will be no better. Upon there arrival, we were ALL ordered by Lt. per Doss to stop doing proactive work like search warrants because to many complaints were coming in. You can't have your cake and eat it too. Criminals don't like going to jail and will fabricate shit to try and get out of it or make a few bucks. DON'T YOU GET IT?
Doss is hated by most of the influential community organizations that are beefing to the Mayor. Remember, you don't mess with $$$... When the crime is pouring into the Jackson Park Highlands and over by U of C and east end of Woodland that's when people start beefing to the Mayor. When thugs get shot in Parkway Gardens no one cares...
ALL of this fine Commander's main staff have had requested to have their detail cancelled or requested to go back to watch. They are all abandoning ship on him! What does that tell you when your main people leave? Your a shit Boss! Learn how to treat people and just maybe people would work for you. Exactly. Fuck it in the ear. Lots of stress we are going through and no doubt its duty related. Too many calls I'm handling off my beat/sector. Dealing with more bullshit than I normally have to is making it harder to control myself. It goes on in every district. Everybody is over stressed. If they don't want to do anything about this issue then fuck them. Obviously a major safety issue and manpower issue which continues to be ignored. Incompetent supervisors are making the job harder also. Duty related stress is a killer. This job has become a toxic environment. Make the job easier on yourself because obviously the department doesn't give a fuck about you or your safety and well being. Hit the medical for duty related stress. Take care of yourself.
Get your union rep involved
Ward was to be investigated by Ferguson on another matter. Never happened. Wonder why?

If it really bothers you that much call the IG office or contact one of chicagos many investigative reporters. They will get the job done. Easy to check, they are in the front commanders office and their arrival and departure times can easily be checked. Then they wait a few days or weeks before the report comes out and it's too late to throw in the slips after the time sheets were approved
