Three Years
- Two hours into a court hearing Friday, Tanishia Covington was ready to receive her sentence for her role in the infamous Facebook Live hate crime-hazing and beating of a white, 18-year-old Crystal Lake man.
Her sister got probation, so who knows what Judge Hooks is thinking. She'll be out in a few more months due to lenient sentencing guidelines in Cook County. We must have missed the riots or civil disorder popping up in Crystal Lake.

Can you imagine if the races were reversed in this. CNN would still be playing the video non stop, and screaming about the racial injustice. Don't even talk about the "IMBECILE" sheriff who shuffles people out of the jail. She is a convicted felon so even if she got parole, she is cursed forever. Now let her try to get a job, some housing is off limits to her and in some states she can not vote. So, she did not get off scott free.

Thanks, Judge Hooks, for explaining your rationale. You mention social benefits. Funny, you must know she will never get a job, voluntarily, and will be a strain to the public system. Prove to me this piece of trash will be denied federal benefits. Imagine that, we are so “modern” and humane that we feed, clothe, house, shelter, educate and even give extra, to literal monsters who are on video/audio kidnapping and TORTURING a mentally challenged person based on his RACE. cowered, cuffed, shaking in a corner while being punched, yelled at, punched, kicked, cut with a knife and forced to drink toilet water while explicit racial taunts hurled. Like she ever planned on working. Also, CHA and Section 8 don't care about history. The public will be footing the bill for her, and whatever offspring she has, for the rest of her life.
