Fake Cop - Electronic Monitoring?
- A man charged with impersonating an officer got out of jail on electronic monitoring to work at what Cook County authorities now believe is a fake police department in rural Pembroke Township, Illinois. Population: 2,000.
Robert Ellis insists he works at the department in Kankakee County.
But on Friday, Cook County prosecutors went to court to have him returned to jail, nearly two months after he was sprung. Assistant State’s Attorney Amanda Pillsbury said she contacted the Kankakee County sheriff’s office to verify Ellis’ employer was a law-enforcement agency and was told: “These individuals are trying to become chiefs of police and they are crooks.”
So a fake cop, working for a fake Department (that Cook County couldn't even verify exists), gets released on fake monitoring. Seems legit.

I know some coppers out that way. It absolutely does not exist. Makes it even funnier that Ellis’ clown defense atty is quoted in the paper calling the sheriff a white racist. I guarantee charges will stick if the SA’s office calls the state training board. The board will prove beyond a doubt he has zero qualifications to be the po leece.

That "Fake Chief" syndrome is rampant in Chicago. "Given, not earned."
Yes, remember he had magnetic "Police" signs on his car and had a carnival train ride set up behind a closed Chrysler car dealer on Dixie Hwy in Harvey. Claimed he was the "Chief of Railroad Police" and would pull cars down on Dixie in Harvey. Had a picture in the Southtown of him riding the little train, with an engineer's cap on and a police star pinned to his shirt.
This fool had a fake railroad and a fake university and he was Poleec Chief of both. He's gotta be a convicted felon a couple times ovee if my memory is correct. He used to do his fake poleec thing down around Harvey. He musta got outa the joint and mooved on south. Pembtoke Townshio in Rural Kankakee County is poor as dirt and dark as night. He prolly got some land an started some fake poleec department once again.
If I remember correctly he was a Chicago police recruit who got bounced out of the academy, he then started Beta University in Homewood (out of a rented office) and was chief of campus police, then he took over the old Bauer buick sales lot in Harvey and moved his "university" and hand car wash to that property and got an amusement ride kidde railroad and started Beta railroad. He then claimed to be a territorial marshal/special agent for his short line railroad. They finally got him on an Arson charge dating years prior where he torched an apartment building for the insurance money. He is so smooth at the bullshit, could you imagine how far he could have gotten in CPD.
I remember that Railroad police thing. The newspaper had him in full uniform riding one of those little clown trains. Classic stuff.
In this state, townships cannot have police department. I think Thornton was the last in this state.
The last Illinois Constitutional Convention held in 1970 made Township Police Departments, unlawful and abolished them in Illinois. Now if these nitwits had half a brain they eould start a Sanuty Distict Poleec Dept and make themselves shit poleec.

Pembroke Township dissolved its City Police Department about 10 years ago due to budget issues.
The former HQ is shuttered and in poor condition. One of the media types reported that the heorin dealers brag that there is no police presence in the city due to the County only having under 300 Deputies for the whole county (IIRC, read the story in the paper today).
