CCL Winner
- A 63-year-old man with a concealed carry license shot an attempted armed robber Monday evening in the South Chicago neighborhood.
The man was walking with another person at 6:19 p.m. in the 8000 block of South Oglesby when the 16-year-old boy and his three accomplices pulled out weapons and demanded their property, according to Chicago Police. The man then pulled out his own gun and shot the boy in his knee, at which point the other suspects ran off.
The boy’s weapon turned out to be a replica handgun, police said.
Someone ought to buy this gentleman an extra box of ammo.
By the way, is anyone still waiting for the streets to run red with the blood of innocents since Concealed Carry was approved years ago? Or have Rahm, pfather phaker, the liberal pearl-clutchers and the media given up on that ever occurring?

Well at least they didnt say he “gunned down” a child.
If, by chance, this citizen shot his attacker in the leg on purpose, he is extremely lucky that the other gun wasn't real. If someone points a gun at you, and you decide to shoot to defend your life, shoot to kill. If the bad guy had a real gun, there's a damn good chance he would fire it after being shot in the knee. There's also a good chance this thug will be robbing again as soon as he's back on his feet. The only real lesson for violent criminals is a final lesson.
That poor child! He's going to need SSI because he'll probably be disabled now. Boy oh boy, society lost on this one! This yout will never cure cancer or design newer, better rockets because this gun toting vigilante snuffed out his promising future by making him disabled. If we're lucky, this crumb will have a permanent rain detector from now on.

Could it be that in addition to the fear of the warring factions reprosals, snitches get stiches factor, some of them are things that "folks" view as actual justice served, and they see no reason to involve the BROKEN justice system so it can punish the one who actually did no more than fight back?
