Another 34 Shot
- A man was killed and at least 30 people were wounded over the weekend in gun violence across Chicago.
From 5 p.m Friday to 5 a.m. Monday, shootings extended from Lakeview on the North Side to Chatham on the South Side, and claimed the life of a former Chicago Public Schools employee who was standing outside a birthday party in Englewood.
Heyjackass.com has the totals at 3 dead, 31 wounded. Some media outlet actually described the shootings and deaths as down compared to 2016 and 2017, but running well ahead of 2013, 2014 and 2015, once again proving that 2016 and 2017 were the aberrations and the trend over the past decade is decidedly upwards. But what do we know?

A little off-topic, but, it appears the Sun Times website is now a subscriber only site. More so than the Trib’s. At the Trib’s, you can see the headlines, and then google them to get around the pay wall. The Sun Times doesn’t even allow that option. And they want $7.49/month after an introductory rate. Methinks at those prices, Fran, Frank, Wifebeater, Moprah, and fake twitter Roeper will all be unemployed very soon. We can only hope.
I know that the number of wounded vs. killed is an indicator of really bad marksmanship on the part of Chicago thugs.
They have been warned not to go crazy this summer because trump will send in the Feds and they will get all federal sentencing. Deputy fart won’t appreciate his leg monitoring company going out of business.
All of these wonderful, wonderous, wonderiffic examples of, (formerly), upstanding, neighborly, salt of the earth, (now salting the dirt), citizens(?), displaying their versions of the proper use of their firearms, induces me to wonder.....are they all going to vote for Rahm?
Note: one of the “victims” in Englewood had a gun on him. Not mentioned tho...

Man, the new UofC trauma center is servicing a lot of customers. I’m personally glad to see the services all the tax-paying people help support financially are taken full advantage of by people that don’t contribute anything to society.

They said at the last news conference everything is down. The news shuhave asked do you think that your are at levels that you can sleep at night. This is a very violent city.
