Damn, SCC!

Clicked on the link at 0010 hr and it was taken down already!

The COP(R)A-lites were johnny-on-the-spot to take it
down to keep US from pointing and laughing at what
THEIR hiring requirements are.

And yes... It's a damned shame they're being started
at higher pay than a Policeman.

Just to be fair, how long does the pay stay at that number and how much does it jump up in a year or two 100%? Not saying anything about how dangerous the job is. Just the facts on pay. That’s what I have been hearing, people have been saying. Thanks.

Rahm and Special Ed created more regulations and duties. They just love sticking it to us. COPA was formed to screw us. Their inflated budget drains tax payers. All in an effort to have their thumb on your heads. Remember they have to keep you in line.

Stay low and make it to the finish line.

COPA is a total waste of money when you have a unit called Internal Affairs.

Can you say double screw the officers who were brought up to do the right thing. Work hard and be chumps for the current administration.

Anyone doing anything more than handling their jobs is asking for it. They have a whole unit full of stripped officers.

New day and age. Callback and ERPS have a bunch of POW,s. Work hard and see what you get. Merit goes to the connected.

duties include witch hunts, exorcisms, pot stirring, out and out destruction of law enforcement and finally creating an atmosphere of danger and insecurity for the general public all done in the name of racial harmony, which will allow minorities to pillage, plunder, and generally act like aaaholes with no threat of prosecution or requiring them to act "CIVILIZED"!!!!!!
previous experience acting like an aaahole is highly regarded, along with negative personal experience with law enforcement! bonus money is awarded for each police officers career you end based on nonsense. Extra bonus's will be awarded if you can trace back police misconduct beyond the usual reasonable "criminal" statute of limitations causing job loss!
goal of the job is to create an atmosphere in the city that mimics that of the roaring 20's!

OT, So I went to the meeting at Wright College last night. There were several aldermen in attendance. Alderman Arena was the moderator for this event. From what I can tell the vast majority of the people there were not from the area. Many of the people who spoke said they were not from the surrounding neighborhoods.

Alderman Reboyras, the chair of the City Council’s Public Safety Committee, is trying to introduce two models of civilian public safety. One currently being used in Seattle and the other is being used in LA County.

There are two other groups also introducing their own models, CPAC and GAPA.

The Seattle and LA models are not going to accomplish anything. In both models they can only make recommendations to the superintendent and the city council on policies and procedures. The city does not have to adhere to the recommendations.

CPAC wants to replace COPA and the Police Board. They will review and approve all new CPD policies and special orders. They will have sole authority to appoint the superintendent. They will investigate and administer discipline over police misconduct. They will also have the authority to submit the CPD budget to the City Council. They want full access to the CPD database. It will be compromised of 22 commissioners that will be elected at LSC elections. One commissioner per district. The commissioners will serve 4 year terms and will make $100,000 a year. They will have a minimum of 1.5% of the total CPD budget.

GAPA wants to keep COPA and the Police Board. They will review and approve all new CPD policies including hiring, training, promotion, supervision and discipline. The Superintendent’s policy proposals must be approved by GAPA with a majority vote. GAPA will recommend 3 candidates to the Mayor. The Mayor can select one candidate or can reject all 3 candidates. City Council must approve the candidate. GAPA can terminate the Superintendent with a majority vote. The City Council can overturn the termination of the Superintendent receives 34 City Council votes. GAPA will establish goals and expectations for the Superintendent and will evaluate annually.

GAPA will nominate the Chief Administrator for COPA. GAPA can terminate the Chief Administrator with a majority vote. The City Council can overturn the termination of the Chief Administrator receives 34 City Council votes. GAPA will establish goals and expectations for the Chief Administrator and will evaluate annually.

GAPA will nominate candidates for the Police Board for confirmation by the City Council. GAPA can remove Police Board members with a majority vote.

GAPA will have full access to CPD, COPA, Police Board, and Public Safety IG records.

GAPA will be comprised of 7 commissioners and 22 District Councils with 3 members each. Commissioners will be appointed by a selection committee that is appointed by the District Council members. District Council members will be elected at LSC elections. GAPA commissioners serve 4 year terms and max at 3 terms. District Council members serve 2 year terms and max at 6 terms. Commissioners will make $12,000 a year. District Council members will make $500.00 a month. GAPA’s budget will be .22% of non-grant funds for CPD.

Okay, someone has to do it.

It has to be done.

This level of mind straining effort cannot be left to drift into the mist of disregarded blog foggery.

Whether the method utilized here was the: Think Up Clever Acronym, then figure out the words OR Ponder Word Combinations = Desired Clever Mockeries, then figure out which ones form the most clever acronym, an acknowledgement must be made, if only as a Courtesy.

Thus, consider me courteous.

9:42, actually there is a simole answer to yoir question.

LE is SUPPOSED to have Citizen Oversight. All government power is supposed to be checked by the people ourselves.

However, we are empowered to do this aside from this joke called COPA. Our recourse rests, regarding CPD, with the authority to hold the chief LE officer himself to account. The MAYOR!

If we the people are displeased with the performance of the police, the MAYOR is supposed to pay the price.

Copa, like the "chief of police" or other diversions, is meant only to distract people from the authority they really do have.

When folks are arguing about COPA, then they ARENT focusing on RAHM.

When folks argue about gun control, they arent focused on the CRIMINALS.

Your question exposes the core of democrat politics. Distract the people with mindless nonsense, even outright lies, in order to rule over them while they all argue over the nonsense instead of the actual problems and solutions to them.

Notice please, nobody opposed to copa has said a word about anything like what i just did. Why? Well, because their tactic WORKS as long as people take the bait.

Want LEO held to account? Then elect a mayor who will be accountable! Example...reject a mayor who hides VIDEO until after election and then has the gall to even run again!

After 5 years you're already making over 80K as a PO. I made over 100k easily after 3 years on the JOB with Overtime(court, late arrests, DUIs, VRI, etc) Job has paid for nice condo, my sportscar, vacations, and other expensive hobbies. I enjoy locking up shit heads and still enjoy it. The job pays for School as well. We get furlos, Uniform allowance, Duty availability, I'm thankful for this Job. I make more money than most of my friends with professional jobs and they hate it. This is a great job....people bitch but guess what they never leave. You can do the bare minimum and just answer jobs on the watch and back people up and get paid over 80K. Tell me a job that beats that..
