Court Insanity

  • So, what is an appropriate bail for a five-time convicted felon who’s caught roaming the city with her electronic monitoring bracelet plugged into a car outlet? In Cook County, the answer was….electronic monitoring!

    [...] Here’s what happened:

Back in March, 28-year-old Regina Whitaker was released from prison after serving half of a narcotics sentence. She was put on electronic monitoring as part of her parole plan. On the Fourth of July, she was arrested and charged with selling crack cocaine to an undercover cop on the West Side. Judge Stephanie Miller released Whitaker on a recognizance bond and told her to stay inside from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m.

Then, around 9:30 p.m. on July 13, police stopped a vehicle on the West Side for having an apparently altered temporary license plate. Officers approached the car. Regina Whitaker was in the driver’s seat with her home monitoring device (the part that is supposed to be, you know, at home) sitting on the passenger seat, plugged into the car outlet, according to a police department spokesperson.
But as the CWB blog discovered:
  • When Whitaker appeared before Judge Mary Marubio on the escape charged last Saturday, the court’s Pretrial Services Division was prepared with a recommended bail: electronic monitoring. Again.

Marubio seemed to give that a brief consideration before ordering Whitaker held without bail.
We have no idea what criteria the Pretrial Services Division uses for their recommendations, but it's obvious that they aren't holding previous bad acts against arrestees.....no doubt at the direction of Kim and Toni with the complicity of Tommy and Timmy.

Crook County as a whole is so blatantly dysfunctional there is hardly any reason for it to exist as a governmental agency of any type.

In this day and age it is a shame that you have to plug your ankle monitor into a car outlet to keep it charging. Dart needs to buy some newer ones with with larger batteries. This is preventing people from attending church when they are tied to their vehicles.

Pretrial Services Division, aka Catch and Release program.
They are notorious for releasing sex offenders who fail to register or lie about where they are living. They will go so far as advising the sex offender to “register homeless” even tho the offender is living at an address where he is not supposed to be living at. Who does that? Our states attorney does that. Detectives arrest these felons, have to fight with felony review to get charges approved and Pre-Tral Servies tell the sex offender to “go register” instead of prosecuting the case like they should. Some of these mopes don’t even listen to them and are in the wind again ready to hit that 6 year old in the ass or make the 4 year old blow him.. Then the asa calls CPD and asks “ Did Joe Predator come in to register ? “ This is how they do business there.

This is one of a million examples of why the police should not do anything proactive. The police can arrest people who are on parole, out on bond , on probation etc. and the results are the same, house arrest or I bond. The fucked up thing is that if the police have to use force to effect one of these arrests they could be out of a job or even arrested. Now do you think that a police officer is going to get an I bond or house arrest ? Proactive policing is no longer acceptable. STOP doing it and sit back and collect your check. The end result of this bullshit is losing your job or losing your freedom. Fuck this city it’s a lost cause.

Times have changed and it is for the worse. Lowering the bond is supposed to be for shoplifters or minor offenses. But 5 time felon who fucks up EM? Off to jail for you, period. Either the judges do not give a fuck or this is the Purge, Chicago style. Scary shit.

The Crook County Adult PROBATION DEPT IS TURN INTO THE BIGGEST LIBERAL CRIMINAL PROTECTOR! This dept weapons units in the past, where making good arrest. The special weapon units are working with the Chicago Police gun teams and the FBI. And I love roll Yvonne Haywood chief of apartment took over and change everything around to protect the criminal he's now gone now they have another liberal Chief wears a degree in anthropology. The department doesn't want any of the special units to make a rest anymore search convicted felons homes that are on probation probationers can do whatever they want.

Every bit of judicial leniency makes a case for Lowvay Bros Bond, Bail & Settlements Inc.

The judges really don’t know what they’re doing.
Either they’re asleep or just stupid.
Tired and overworked, send in a robed clerical worker to hear some of the caseload... real smart.
It’s no surprise some of the worst lawyers become annointed as judges because they just don’t have the smarts to make it in the private sector.
There’s also the fear of getting dumped for not going along with the Cook Co States Atty Office of Restorative Justice Program.
Not to mention the angry twit that runs the prosecutions has a office at her old part time employer that makes a decent income suing the Crooked County.

Yes, it’s all on the up and up.
Term limits for all judgeships, there’s no lawyer shortage.

Hey Judges -- Set her next bail -- yes, there will be many more to come -- such that she is free only to roam in Kimm Foxx's town. Spare the rest of Cook County. Maywood?

Soon the community will ask for a unit —- which is all clout. To be established with the purpose to physically search for these sexual predators, so that they can register, and tuck them in bed. The left is absolutely crazy... when you protest the shooting of assholes such as the one 2 weeks ago: who is armed to the teeth, plaguing his community. You can only say 😧😧.
