Lazy Reporters

How lazy are the Sun Times reporters nowadays?

They can't even send a reporter out to get a picture at street level. They have to use "Street View" after Google sanitizes what the actual neighborhood looks like.

Do the Snowflake reporters think it's too dangerous for them?

Lol!

This picture is kind of reminiscent of what
we used to call change-time for the shitheads...

That eerie quiet like
7am-ish on a Sunday morning.

Wild Kingdom Policing...

Knowing their ways and habits.

...You're welcome.

The failing Sun Times fired most of their staff reporters last year. Their total staff has been reduced by 50% and the paper is now printed by the Tribune. Their Ashland facility is closed.

Don't forget those book smart idiots with their MBA's (that's supposed to make you quiver in fear because their just so darn smarter than you lmao) they look online and think they know everything.

Experience is earned- not given! And you can't fake it or claim it because you read/saw it online. Just not the same

They don't think it is dangerous they know it is dangerous on the street, and these days any street. Don't blame them at all. Fetal cops and aggressive gangs is a bad mix for the general population. Hence we saw last weekends slaughter. But at least they kept it in their own neighborhood. So no harm no foul.

Can't understand for the life of me why the newspapers pander to communities that don't buy or support their product in any way. No subscriptions to speak of on the community where only 50% can or would read paper if available, which it isn't. The other 50% don't care about the news. Maybe they are hoping that paper subscription will be the next Free Giveaway the city offers along with free phones and cable TV, Link cards and section eight housing.

I believe that most of the photographers on the Times and the Trib were let go a few years ago. They are using stock photos these days

And they’re too a’scared to even leave their flats to ride a Divvy or CTA down to the office.
Noticed there’s a lot of outdated and generic “file” photos being used too.
Ever take notice the crime scene photos?
Look at the Dept make up they’re promoting.
Can’t they find a crime scene that’s representative of the community.
All by design.

I haven't read the Slime Times in over 10 years, the other day I found one left behind, after exactly 4 pages I literally threw the rag in the garbage. What happened to "legitimate " journalists? ♠️

Milineals are the rulers of the “easy button” and their work shows it. That’s the real reason that the media and print media in particular suck. No proof reading , spell check and cut and paste. Fuck off you lazy POS’s

The Sun-Times fired their entire photography staff a few years back and then made their reporters and columnists shoot photos and videos for their paper and website. The photography staff were all union members. The reporters and columnists, all members of another union, became scabs. I'm glad the paper is dying. The only problem is the Chicago Federation of Labor is the majority stockholder and the FOP must use part of our dues to help pay for this. It sounds as if we're going to be taking a hit.

It's just typical Lib Lob behavior. They preach about the bad police, BLM, me2, pussy hats all kinds of liberal nonsense, but refuse to live or go to the west and south sides.

Cell phones can take g8 digital pics so it's just them avoiding certain areas.

Look at their reporting as a model for the Chicago Police Department Consent Decree Approved policing.

Sit in the precinct house and make up shit for your tour.

WHOOOOO!

Early AM refuse fire in a 55 gallon drum
in a vacant lot...

"Ride with fire..."

>YAWN!<
"Ok squad..."

Buncha wooden construction debris burning.

CFD douses it.
>WHOOSH!<

Buncha Firemen standing around fanning
the smoke to see what's in the drum.

Buncha Firemen falling over each other
when the smoke cleared just enough to
reveal two crispy human legs sticking
out from among the debris...

Female...

Her skull was split down to the teeth...
She must've REALLY pissed somebody off.

Change time always entailed certain hazards.

Stuff Policemen see...

Using stock photos is a way to save money. Just make sure any street photos don't have cars from the 1970's in the picture. Also a street photo with a phone booth would be another tipoff of a cheap newspaper boss.

These Google pictures completely sanitize the streets. Heaven forbid that sidewalks/curbs show the Actual collection of empty beer bottles/liquor bottles/fast food wrappers, etc. from an permit-free ‘we wants to have an unofficial late night block party.’ When the locations of block part mass shootings are shown, the sidewalks sparkle, the curbs looks like they’ve been scrubbed by cleaning ladies, lawns are bright green, and you can photoshop friendly images of birds, squirrels, rabbits and butterflies...

Why is everybody picking on the poor reporters? There are so few of them left. And it's not like they get to pick their own assignments, the green eye shade crowd decides that. If a stock photo generates as many click-throughs as a real pic, then that is money in the bank.
