Stories That Fell Through the Cracks
A couple of things that give the impression that Rahm is in electoral trouble:
- CPS Sex Scandal - Won't someone think of the children?
- Earlier this year, when investigative reporters at the Tribune began gathering information about sexual assault and abuse within Chicago Public Schools, they hit a cement wall. CPS stalled requests for public records for months and relented only when the Tribune threatened to sue.
By then, reporters Gary Marx, David Jackson, Jennifer Smith Richards and Juan Perez Jr. had pieced together — through police reports, court files, state records and interviews — an alarming revelation. Police investigated 523 reports that children were sexually assaulted or abused inside city public schools from 2008 to 2017, or an average of one report each week.
If there was a sex assault every week in Englewood, you can bet there would be heads rolling, command changes imminent and a massive push to solve the crime. CPS students though? Almost nothing.
- Willie Wilson fires back at Lisa:
- Responding to what his mayoral campaign called an investigation by Attorney General Lisa Madigan, a defiant Willie Wilson on Thursday defended his recent cash giveaways and said there’s “nothing wrong” with his charitable foundation’s paperwork.
Speaking at the Chicago Baptist Institute International alongside supporters, the mayoral candidate also called on Madigan to investigate Mayor Rahm Emanuel over the Laquan McDonald shooting and said Emanuel talked down to black Chicagoans in response to the recent crime wave.
Noting he was raised in the Jim Crow South, Wilson, who is black, said, “I’m just tired of white people telling me what to do.”
Wilson is taking a shot directly at the Illinois Combine with that line. And he's probably the only one who could get away with it.
- Rahm is victim shaming?

Shari Runner, until recently the president and CEO of the Chicago Urban League, said the mayor’s blame game is offensive and insensitive. “I cannot see the victims of racist policies and bigoted practices shamed by anyone who says they need to do better or be better in their circumstance. I won’t accept it,” Runner said.
“Scolding the African-American community for the ills of what’s happening in those communities is not only not helpful. It’s not correct. There’s no more religious, conservative, amazing community than the African-American community. The African-American community is resilient. The African-American community survived this strife. … It is not fair to blame the victims of policies that have created their circumstance.”
Can you tell us on this anatomically correct doll exactly where the truth hurt you? Always the "victim" and always someone else's fault.

Religious and conservative sou ds republican to me. Yet the black community consistently votes these liberal left wing crooks into office then complains about them. The definition of insanity. If the black community actually started voting and supporting conservative values it may just do them some good. Its actually shocking how staunchly they support the very people who put their foot on black peoples necks.

I like Wilson because he has pointed out something that rings true. Why investigate him and not Pat Quinn??
Quinn threw out a LOT of taxpayer money (not his own) in an effort to "fight crime" (read "get votes") by passing it around to a lot of groups before his re-election. That was OVER $40 MILLION.
There was not a word raised about the impropriety of that. So what is the beef with Wilson handing out his own money??
Rahm shaming? - Well there was a large contingent of that “religious, conservative, amazing African American community” in 018 tonite creating total havoc at Water Tower, on Lake Shore Drive, Michigan Avenue and on the beaches. The parents of these honor roll students must be so proud that the values of their community is so deeply engraved in their little minds. Fighting, stealing, disrupting business, scaring tourists and residents alike by throwing fireworks at them. We really need to find what conservative church teaches these amazing things in the African American Community so we can give them a key to the city! Oh wait, they already have one thanks to Rahm and Eddie.
The forever problem that keeps on giving or is it getting....It's just too hard to tell! It's never the people & folks fault! No one should ever be able to tell the people & folks what to do or how to act! That's what gun's are for, they establish the rules of the concrete jungle! Yet in Chicago, silence. Has Rahm bought off all the parents?

The problem I see here is that this person is talking about the black people who go to work every day, who pay taxes, who attend church regularly, and who support the police. There are so many who do all those things and are still prisoners in their home because of the drug dealing, gang banging, murderous few that want to break the law.
Don't give those who commit these atrocities a free pass because of the color of their skin. A criminal is a criminal. Their circumstances are nobodies fault but their own. It's so easy to blame everyone else for your problems instead of looking in the mirror. Black America wants police accountability, the police want accountability in the 'hood. Black Lives Matter only cares about the rare police shooting, but doesn't give a shit about the shootings that occur everyday in the 'hood. A police shooting occurs and BLM is all over it. 74 people get shot and 12 people killed in three days and BLM DIDN'T SAY SHIT!!!! News outlets need to dig into why CPS is now in a mad rush to re-fingerprint and run backgrounds on all CPS employees after all hires were supposedly vetted prior to originally being hired. Were these people's backgrounds not checked? Why do they need to get fingerprinted again? What happened to the money supposedly spent on the original background checks?
I wonder why there are no RD numbers for sexual abuse at the Chicago Public Schools?

Unfortunately some races have more trash than others higher rates of violent crime.
