What's Behind Crime
Our old friend Jack Dunphy writes about the political causes of crime rising in Chicago:
- It is an accepted but lamented fact of life among police officers that in order to rise on the promotional ladder, one must endorse the political fashions currently in favor among the city’s politicians. And the higher one ascends on that ladder, the more convincingly one must do so. As a consequence, reflecting the governing principles of almost any city you can name, most police chiefs are liberals, or at least pretend to be with a passing level of feigned sincerity.
As a result of this, the upper levels of most police departments, most certainly those in large cities, become clogged with men and women who can recite leftist pieties as confidently as any MSNBC host, the better to curry favor with politicians whose sponsorship is essential to further promotion. All of these men and women believe themselves qualified to be the next police chief, but the one selected will have proved himself to be the most proficient panderer.
But this creates a problem within a police department, to wit, a division in the rank structure between those at or near the top who adopt the leftist nostrums of the politicians, and those at the bottom who must go out onto the streets each day and confront the very real problems engendered by those very same leftist nostrums.
Dunphy also points out the rank hypocrisy of Rahm and the steps that Rahm WON'T take to even begin to bring the streets under control. Dunphy also points out the politically inconvenient fact of the driving factor of "community" crime.

Great read. Every single Chicagoan should take that article to heart. Realize the problem is almost insurmountable due to politics. Either let it burn or fix it.
This is an excellent article that summarizes what is wrong in this city. A leftist mayor who will do nothing. An incompetent police superintendent and his equally incompetent command staff. Everyone should read this article. Brilliant.

Before i go read it all, i will say in response to the snipet that the bottom rungs that head out to donthe confronting, on the orders of the higher ups, should look in the mirror to see a large part of the problem.
Carrying out the leftist orders makes one a lefty themselves at best or a useful tool of the lefty progressives at worst.
Its is this lower rung who has to refuse to carry out the leftists plots. Notice, like bin laden always sending out OTHERS to do those suicide bombings, the leftist pukes always send out OTHERS to do their dirty work for them.
Those lower rungs need to REFUSE to be tools doing dirty work! I epuod argue that this is what FETAL is all about, and rightly so.

My thoughts on this. You do not get a background if you are not charged and convicted. What if I told you there was a person with 7 DUI offenses, one in which the CPD chased him at over 100 mph. Those are felonies right? Incorrect, due to clout, record wiped clean. What if I told you a grown nasty ass man can have public sex in the forest preserve, caught in the act right? Again, nothing. What about protecting our children, that has to get a conviction right? Nope, not in our Bizarro world. I was with my brother on 43rd, just got off of work, two cops rush us, him in particular, asking him where the loosies were. We both laughed, like what are you doing. Next thing I know, my brother is arrested, charged with assaulting a cop and other bullshit. Cost our family damn near 10k to beat the case. In the meantime he lost his job and his car was taken. Imagine if other men had this done to them. What would the impact be? So when you spout your standard issue garbage take that into consideration. Please.
Rahm is pandering to the criminals for votes especially with the help of Eddie, Kim and the black caucus. Something is going to give.
