People were warned about this knucklehead years ago, even before he got promoted:

While under investigation, the Chicago Police Department promoted him in May, moving him up from sergeant to lieutenant, with a significant pay raise, and giving him a plum assignment helping to oversee the South Chicago District.
This guy should have been fired half-a-dozen times, and actually was indicted for Criminal Sexual Assault. Official Misconduct was the least of his problems at that point, but some out-of-court "settlement" actions made it fade away.
When your mommy is Assistant Deputy Superintendent Jan Pestka, who had her own history and who currently works for Rick Simon (the connected Garry McCarthy supporter), you can't be surprised that the #metoo movement never really got hold of this.

A "plum" assignment in the district that just happens to be as far from home as they could assign him. Janet P was a nice woman, Dep Sup, no. Clouted from very early in her career. As a patrolman she was assigned to the Intelligence Unit as a so called 3rd watch secretary/security when they were located at 943 Maxwell St, 2nd floor. Not much went on during that shift. Doors locked and lights out. Jan had a baby daughter, only months old, and Jan brought her baby with her to the office, on nights, at the work place. Jan had a crib that she set up in the front office and baby and her spent the 3rd watch there. Nice and quiet, no problem. The clout bells were ringing loudly but I could never figure out where it came from. Her husband, Lee, nice guy as well and generally well liked by the crew at the Area. I guess the approx $200K in pension between the two isnt enough so Mr Simon steps up to the plate and gives her another box full of cash to work for his company. Maybe after all of these years I've figured it out. Clout city, crooked city, was, is, and will always be Chicago.

Why was he in her apartment to begin with? I have never had a boss in my house and only po’s that I know outside of the job very well. I don’t wanna blame the victim but women keep putting themselves into sticky situations especially when we know men only think sex. Not giving the pass to the perpetrator either, but I have strong self preservation instinct. I don’t go walking through the city’s alliies after dark because I know the end result might not be pleasant, even if I think I should be able to traipse anywhere anytime without any fear

Yes, appeals process freed the sergeant but he cannot be reinstated to the department. There was enough evidence in his court case to fire him in any regard. He will never collect on his lawsuit for the crack head is broke.The entire matter was just a self-inflicted wound and an example of why you do not fool around with women while you are on-duty. Leave it alone
It does appear that J.B. has a high sex drive or some type of problem with controlling his sexual desires that he cannot even go to work and keep his pants on. I say that due to the numerous incidents cited that he has been involved in. This problem within him is so strong that he obviously can't help himself, because he keeps repeating the same bad behavior. One would think after the first sex related incident that he got caught in, he would have learned to never get involved with women at or around his job again. Perhaps that will be his defense some day, that he has a sexual addiction problem and check himself into a hospital.
Unfortunately, he has not been fired, because there is always a technicality in proving the case. Like the incident in the early 2000's, where he was repeatedly following and stopping the girl that he frisked and took photos of. That girl would not cooperate with the investigation as time went on, and she would not show up for court. I don't know why she stopped cooperating, but if she would have, there was enough evidence based on J.B.'s own admissions, surveillance video, and outcry witnesses to convict him.
Based on its surface, this incident involving the female police officer does not sound criminal in nature. It just proves once again that J.B. is an idiot with a sex problem. However, he still needs to be canned. That's high risk danger if this guy can't control his sexual impulses, which appears to have been proven.

The guy needs to be fired as he brought discredit several times on to the department. Hopefully they will launch him this time.

His former wife had a great job of course from Jerry's mom, she got her the district manager job in 015 and then when going thru the divorce what does good old jerry do? Gets his wife fired! What a stand up guy!! The divorce dragged on for years and he was living at home tourturing his wife and kids all the while sleeping with various women while still married. The guy needs to be fired as he brought discredit several times on to the department. Hopefully they will launch him this time.
