Must be a "Progressive" Thing
- Mayor Bill de Blasio and the rest of our city’s political establishment say they’re shocked and disgusted by the recent videos of abuse directed at police officers.
That leaves most police officers wondering: What, exactly, were they expecting?
What did they think would happen when they campaigned on the promise of “reining in” the police, when they legitimized and then ceded the streets to the most extreme voices, the ones who proclaim “all cops are bad”?
What did they think would happen when they enacted policies that all but erased prohibitions on disorderly and anti-social behavior, reducing the quality-of-life standards in our neighborhoods to the lowest common denominator?
What did they think would happen when they saddled police officers with layer after layer of scrutiny and second-guessing, removed critical enforcement tools from police officers, invited and entertained baseless allegations of misconduct with the potential to derail police officers’ careers and sacrificed individual cops at the altar of political expediency?
Did they think that any of this would foster respect for the law — or the women and men who enforce it?
Sounds like Rahm and de Blasio are reading from the same playbook actually.

DiBlasio is in Kenosha today campaigning for Democrat congressional candidate Randy Bryce. The New York PBA took out a full-page ad in the Kenosha newspaper tearing DiBlasio a new one over a lack of a contract.
Sucking the community's ass for votes, did they really think the day would never come when the community takes a huge shit in their faces?

They thought they could lie with impunity, win elections and keep the cops in check via control over their union stewardship...as it has been for well over half a century.
They still have the union, money and stewardship, though for how long they retain control over police officers is in question.
What happens when they finally admit to themselves that they have to throw money at the "police problem" but their lies leave without anyone willing to be stabned in the back regardless of the loot offered?

NYC mayor Warren Wilhelm and 9 1/2 both need, desperately, to get the black vote......and they will pander and prance to get it....

Politicians, ACLU spokemen and professors who lean left love to throw policy at police forces. And almost always the results are more crime and death. But these people can never say "these policies aren't working." It's always another reason: usually more programs needed, more money needed, etc but never our policies have been proven to fail. And when the white liberals who control policy in major cities can't look in the mirror and admit failure, why would the community they empower do it?

I love how they still post his picture even though he wasn't arrested or convicted of a crime. Being the Police you can get all kinds of women don't play with the ones you work with I know proximity is a factor don't ruin your career.
