Ain't America great? Morons can give away money under false pretenses and claim to be benefactors to the "community:"
- Up to 10,000 pairs of free shoes will be given away in Chicago's Englewood neighborhood this weekend in an "Anti-Bait Truck" event.
Rapper Vic Mensa organized the shoe giveaway in response to an operation conducted by the Norfolk Southern Railway earlier this month. Chicago police worked with the train company on the undercover sting, where "bait trucks" full of valuable shoes were used to arrest suspected thieves in Englewood.
Three men were arrested for taking some of the shoes, but those charges were later dropped.
Cell phone video of the covert sting was viewed more than half a million times. South Side activists said the action deepened the divide between police and residents.
So south side "activists" assume that everyone in Englewood is a thief - that's some low expectations right there.

I have to start looking for the location or locations of the give away. Everyone on the job, active or retired, should go and get a new pair of kicks.
They don't get a job because they aren't qualified to do anything that pays above minimum wage and will give them full-time work. Most of them fucked off in school and figured that education was for Rich White People and that they could never afford college anyway. Now they're in their late teens or 20s and have no education and no experience doing anything but thugging, panhandling, and/or demanding free social services because they're poor.
All these protests, I keep hearing "We want jobs and we want business to invest in our neighborhoods." Okay, at least it's not "just give me free money and rent, etc.," but still, what sort of jobs can they get, or keep? The unskilled factory jobs have mostly gone overseas. Working at McDonald's or Wal-mart won't provide you with a livable income, even if you're just paying for you (and generally, if they're over 15, they've got at least one illegitimate kid).
And why would businesses invest in their communities? There's no money there. It's so dangerous that most people wouldn't want to work at any job in those ghetto slums. Not to mention they're more susceptible to employee theft, robbery, burglary, etc. I read an article about six months ago about how Kroger is closing down several large grocery stores in ghetto neighborhoods in Memphis because it's costing them millions of dollars a year in employee theft and shoplifting.
Only the naive and the foolish can expect this community event to happen without full "Chicago Values" on display.
It may start in an orderly fashion, then devolve into something akin to the last 50lb sacks of UNICEF rice being thrown off the back of the truck.
It will turn violent, shots will be fired, the oven cant help but go into self cleaning mode when free shit is at stake.
DO NOT involve yourself. Make sure you and others in uniform who are forced to "monitor" this shitshow are safe. DO NOT intervene, merely stand witness to the behavior that occurs when criminality is not only ignored but sanctioned by your elected officials.

My grandparents came to the states with barely a pot to piss in. From the early 1900's right through the Depression, they and everyone they knew, were "in need". You know what they did? They went out and took a JOB, any job, sometimes multiple jobs, to make ends meet. They didn't rob anyone, they didn't take things that weren't theirs because they had some pride in themselves. What's the "communerty's" and folks' excuse?
