Promotions Coming

Special Ed sent out an e-mail saying promotions will be coming in the next two weeks:
  • 7 Lieutenatns
  • 90 Sergeants
  • 120 Detectives
  • 28 FTO's
Which means that the class of 200 that just graduated this past week is going to be filling the holes left by the Sergeant, Detective and FTO promotions. We'll post the lists when we get them.

This is a Classic Leftist Bureaucratic Move. The Fiasco that is the once admired and praised CIA and FBI, is the result of Left Wing Radicals, making sure that the future of the Agencies are led by those of their philosophy. Consider Obama's head of the CIA, Brennan, who Admitted that he voted for the Communist Party candidate in 1980! Just think about that for a moment. The Berlin Wall was still up, much of Eastern Europe was enslaved, and this Communist Sympathizer was being pushed up the ladder at an Agency that was supposed to protect us from Communism. Brennan was hired while the Cold War was alive and well. And the CIA that followed, like the FBI that followed have become engaged in an attempted Coup to remove a duly elected President. Now look at Chicago. Rahm's Legacy as it applies to the Chicago Police Department is basically to turn it into a powerless, dismantled and demoralized entity. He began by bringing in an outsider, who caused much of the homegrown leadership to flee. The CPD was basically turned over to the ACLU and BLM to decide policy! AND THE FINAL NAIL IN THE COFFIN IS THIS RUSH TO PROMOTE AS MANY BLACK BOSSES AS POSSIBLE BEFORE RAHM LEAVES, AND TAKES FATHEAD ED WITH HIM! The future leadership of CPD for the next 10 to 20 years, is waddling up, wearing Ghetto Fab uniforms with Ghetto attitudes! "And don't you dare arrest Dem Peoples & Folks, cause der iz too many of them already UNJUSTLY incarcerated!" Stay Safe. Baby "G"

Hey SCC: Was watching the 10:00 news and was amused to see a report of Mr. Fenner patrolling with his son in a marked squad which had a Beat Tag labeled Car 3 and the title Superintendent emblazoned on the door like a jet fighter pilot.
Has Special Ed let his ego erode any common sense that he still had? Will gang members refrain from taking a pot shot at his squad while cruising thru the hood?
I remember years ago when the on duty Asst. Deputy Superintendent drove a blue Oldsmobile emblazoned Chicago Police Department Operations Command. The vehicle was nicknamed "the blue goose" back then. Should this newly marked vehicle be nicknamed "the Blue Bozo?" Perhaps a contest should be held by SCC to come up with a suitable moniker.

Oh, goodie, more bosses for the sh^t show. Another white shirt to yell terminate, warn not to taser, implore you to de-escalate and other crap to get officers killed. Inexperienced bosses arrive in time for the aftermath of the JV trial. So the city gives permits to surround the building and intimidate the jury just in case, they have any bright ideas about concerning themselves with the law, but I bet the media will release their names to be safe. The powers that be can't allow what happened in the Rialmo case occur again. People might actually come to believe there is a rule of law in this city and that justice is not bought and paid for. Our corrupt politicians can't allow that to happen. By the way, smart move on Dan Herbert's part to recommend the interview and humanize JVD prior to jury selection and try to combat the 2-year long negative media campaign. Good luck brother, know many of us are praying you are safely returned home to your family.

He tells the truth and they cannot handle the truth:
Antiquated eulogy at Aretha Franklin homegoing ignites wrath

DETROIT — A fiery, old-school eulogist at the funeral of Aretha Franklin fell flat for many in the crowd and prompted a social media uproar when he declared “black America has lost its soul,” black women are incapable of raising sons alone and the Black Lives Matter movement is unfounded in the face of black-on-black crime.

And that was just 26 minutes into the nearly 50 minutes of words provided by the Rev. Jasper Williams Jr. of Salem Baptist Church in Atlanta as Franklin’s marathon funeral wound down Friday.

As he wended his way through the need for more African Americans to return to church and more men to return to their families, the heat turned up online, with younger people declaring rhetoric such as that of Williams is why they left their churches to begin with.

At one point, Williams asked: “Where is your soul, black man? As I look in your house, there are no fathers in the home no more.”

As for black women, he preached that “as proud, beautiful and fine as our black women are, one thing a black woman cannot do, a black woman cannot raise a black boy to be a man.”

Call Me Mr. Lips

What would I do without Bean to provide me with a nonstop source of childish shell games to complain about? Unfortunately, this letter won't be able to address all of the points I'd like to make. With all of the dishonest elisions, bombastic flourishes, and pompous posturing, I can't possibly tackle all of Bean's blockish cajoleries in a single go. To put it another way, we'll be covering 190-proof Bean here. You don't drink it; you sip it. Let's begin our investigation with the observation that I am more than merely surprised by Bean's willingness to create a mass psychology of fear about an imminent terrorist threat. I'm shocked, shocked. And, as if that weren't enough, Bean is a bloodthirsty tatterdemalion. Consequently, attempting to respond to his morals with logic is futile. A more productive response is to observe that Bean's dream is to remove society's moral barriers and allow perversion to prosper. Then, just to twist the knife a little, he'll drain our hope and enthusiasm.

Unfortunately, Bean's irascible disquisitions neglect to take one important factor into consideration: human nature. My own position on this issue is both simple and clear: It's easy enough to hate Bean any day of the week on general principles. But now I'll tell you about some very specific things that Bean is up to, things that ought to make a real Bean-hater out of you. First off, his legatees are engaged in perpetual one-upmanship over who more deeply enjoys his zingers. These are the sorts of people who can't stomach the fact that if Bean wants to complain, he should have an argument. He shouldn't just throw out the word “cinematographical”, for example, and expect us to be scared.

A central point of Bean's belief systems is the notion that some people deserve to feel safe while others do not. Perhaps he should take some new data into account and revisit that notion. I think he'd find that he loves Pyrrhonism with the kind of irrational passion normally reserved for professional sports teams. I will now cite the proof of that statement. The proof begins with the observation that the best thing about Bean is the way that he encourages us to keep his jackals at bay. No, wait; Bean doesn't encourage that. On the contrary, he discourages us from admitting that he uses pharisaism to goad the worst sorts of pertinacious election-year also-rans I've ever seen into hurling epithets at his nemeses. That's the large elephant in the room that nobody talks about. Nevertheless, I avouch that people really ought to start talking about it because then they'd realize that we mustn't be content to patch and darn, to piece and cobble at the worn and rotten fabric of Bean's demonic precepts. Instead we must change the minds of those who place stumbling blocks in front of those of us who seek value and fulfilment in our personal and professional lives. All in all, I realize that this letter has seemed incredibly bleak. However, expecting the worst from Bean means we will never be disappointed. If we're wrong and Bean does not try to endorse a complete system of leadership by mobocracy, we'll be relieved. If we're right and he does, we'll be prepared.

Dan Herbert isn't that competent, or brave. He represented two cops  in  two recent separate cases. They both ended up in federal prison. Maybe if the facts come out being
Escalante, McNaughton and Johnson classified  the JVD shooting as justified, but Rahm covered up the tape solely so he can be re elected, maybe JVD has a shot at a fair verdict.
Wish the best for him and his family.

97 more Bozo's to do Stripper Ed's, and the mayors bidding....except the few who actually took BOTH parts of the test, and actually deserve the title, Supervisor. But they are greatly out weighed but the merit hacks, and cheaters.

CPD's immediate current needs are someone who has crime scene, crowd control/mob control experience, and exemplifies Leadership. How many of those do you think are getting promoted?....(cheep-cheep) I thought so.

Many of these Sgt's will see themselves as passing through on their way to their next merit promotion. All of these Lt.'s are the same no matter who they may be...I'm surprised they are making Detectives at the same time. We had about 6-7 in my class that slept through the academy, knowing they were in the next class of Sgt's. So all you dicks out there. When your handpicked Sgt's (and they all are) tell you they know detectives work, ask them how long they were detectives. Very few have put in more than 6 months and many more much less, like 6 weeks. There is a good chance that during those 6 weeks, they were downtown sniffing out a "good spot"

Welcome to CPD...To the Few who deserve it, congratulations! To the proud and arrogant merit cloutorious hacks, welcome to the machine...

Watched Eddie and his son in the “marked” police vehicle is the prelude to no more unmarked detective vehicle the prototype is marked with “detective” in side same as Eddie “if marked is good enough for the superintendent it’s good enough for everyone!” It is a smart idea shows more police presence Eddie finally has a smart idea with a 15% clearance rate this will give detectives more street credibility and more visibility no more hiding finally this is sorely needed! With the gps they will also be assigned priority 1 jobs which will definitely help!

The FTO program in Chixago is a joke, FTOs try thier best to teach but some of the product is just plain unreachable and the department just won't fire them Wonder why nobody wants to be an FTO.

Spoken by someone who's not a supervisor, and not in one of the severely undermanned districts. We need more of everything, from Lt on down. Anyone who disagrees is confused or blinded by the fact that their south or west side district is flush with manpower at all levels. Meanwhile, the rest of us get to deal with unsafe conditions with 4 and 5 down cars, one supervisor on the street, and a backlog of 20+ jobs. Take a peek outside your little corner of the world and realize there are a bunch of other districts who don't get the manpower yours gets. I bet you "too many supervisors" whiners are the same ones constantly calling for supervisors on every job.

I know Burke used to be car "4" when he lived on 50th and Maplewood (or Artesian/Campbell?)

It was around Christmas time 1999-2001 and car "4" came on the air about a disturbance.

The dispatcher sounded shocked and said, "Car 4?"

In the background there was piano music and it sounded like a party. Being the 009th district and full of 20+yr olds, there was nonstop fake radio calls and other shenanigans.(This is car 14 and 1/2, come in squad!)

I miss young Policemen who were fun.

The problem is that it's likely a media troll looking for info, not just a random citizen. They toss out a seemingly innocent question and wait for the responses about how a lieutenant or sergeant doesn't do anything, especially lieutenant or sergeant X from Unit Y who always does some illegal, immoral, nefarious thing. Then they have a starting point for their next hit piece. If not, the answers he or she seeks can be easily found without resorting to asking a bunch of random people on an internet blog. Stupidity, ignorance, and laziness should not be rewarded. Why don't you get off your high horse and answer the question? Your apology didn't help them get their answer.

Sad part is that This new explorer sits parked at HQ 99% of the time. While we are using junk vehicles.

Mr short bus? Cute attempt at an insult. Haven't called for a supervisor in over a year? Do you sign your own tow reports? Do you approve your own reports? No TRRs for you? You must work really hard. You didn't take the test because you know there's no point. You seem pretty unhappy for being happy where you're at. What we need is more officers AND supervisors. They're not called patrolmen anymore. I'm not whining about backlogs. I'm pointing out that they exist on a constant basis in shorthanded districts. You seem oblivious to this fact. Code a few jobs? Last backlog I dealt with, I coded 19 of the 25 jobs, and all in less than an hour. Let's see you knock out even two of those without wasting an hour. If people like you would code jobs in a timely manner, backlogs would be less frequent. I guess that's on your supervisors though. You don't see "to" many supervisors coding parkers? Maybe that has something to do with the extremely low priority of that job and the fact that there's no need to code it. It can sit all day. How much work do I do? Less than I should, and much more than you think. I want more supervisors for one simple reason: we need them. It has nothing to do with ducks or "40 days." It would be nice to get a day off once in a while though. If you honestly believe there are no districts that need more sergeants, you're misinformed or willfully ignorant of obvious facts. Based on the rest of the nonsense you posted, I'll assume the latter. Good luck with your streak of not needing a supervisor. I'm sure we all hope it continues indefinitely.

If someone asks a sincere question because they are unsure of the answer, does that person still qualify as a “know it all”?

9/02/2018 05:26:00 PM

Presuming the validity of your questions' elements, no, not a "know it all", but, rather, a wannabe know it all.

Is that what you aspire to be, a wannabe know it all?

Or is there some other intent(s) imbued within your query purpose(s)?

I've been retired for sometime. Back in the last century you knew your test score shortly after turning your test in. Sad that in the 21st century the powers that be can't do this. Where's the transparency? Rahm is dirtier then all his predecessors put together.

To the supervisor above, no officer gives a Danny if there is a backlog. The city doesn't seem to care since its allowed the department to go short staffed. So if you want to run around coding jobs because there's a rap go for it.
But no one cares.

Signing tow reports? Case reports? TRRs? Ok you got me. I agree You are over worked. You deserve a day off.

9/02/2018 10:43:00 PM

Those were just examples of things I know you called a supervisor for, despite your claims. I never claimed to be overworked. I said we have a manpower shortage, because we do. It's a safety issue. That's my concern. Don't really give a shit about anything else. Keep trying though.

What about the Sergeants who stay at the station all night and not even hit the streets. ok, they hit the streets for an hour and come back.

9/02/2018 10:47:00 PM

But, why do you care? Seriously, why do you care?

If a supervisor went to all your jobs and followed you around, you would be bitching and moaning. STFU!

A sergeant supervises police officers. A lieutenant supervises sergeants.

9/01/2018 06:45:00 PM

A lieutenant is not a supervisor.

Since when???

"A lieutenant is not a supervisor."

??????

What did your fancy college Police Administration book call a LT? MId manager?

Too much college, not enough grammar school.

... Retired LT

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------Did either of you two clowns figure it out? The admitted former loo should be embarrassed for being so clueless. They must have been a great white-shirt. Ha!

Why aren't our unions demanding that the test scores be provided immediately for the Scantron portion and any written portion within a set time frame. This whole SME thing needs to disappear, too much left open for cheating. Why are our unions so useless? Other FOPs have a set of balls, ours always seem to bought out the second they take office.

To the clueless:

I assure you that I care less than just about anyone if there's a backlog, if we're talking about coding jobs and keeping the board clear. The issue a backlog causes is that there's no one available to help when an officer needs an assist. Fuck the parkers, the alarms, the shots fired, the disturbances, etc. When you need help and no one can get to you, maybe you'll understand why backlogs and down cars are a problem. Maybe not, but I'm giving you the benefit of the doubt, despite your apparent ignorance. As for running around coding jobs, it's not what I want to do, but sometimes that's the job.

Promotions for what? Doing there jobs can't be the reason. Must be political everything in Chicago is political "it's the Chicago way" It used to be the city that works now it's the city that doesn't work. Thank you democrats you are getting what you voted for, enjoy the fruits of your labor.

People called for the police even are due the service they called for - this should not be denied even if they left no name. Coding jobs like you describe is akin to fraud just like when companies use creative accounting. Some districts have been in backlogs for years since 2003, the first unofficial hiring freeze. Why do you care? It is what the City as a public policy wants. Disagree? Then call me out.

Not many. Just a few. Hardly noticeable if you step way back and squint. But the ugly asses will create more than a few nightmares for you.
