Interesting Concept

  • A day after 11 people were shot, including three fatally, Baltimore officials condemned the city’s drug trade and announced plans to get more police officers on the streets.

About 230 Baltimore Police Department officers assigned to administrative duties will leave their offices for patrol work as the department seeks to combat a spike in violence across the city.

Interim Commissioner Gary Tuggle temporarily shut down administrative operations at police headquarters and in every district, he said at a news conference Wednesday afternoon. Those officers have been reassigned to the streets, bringing the number of officers patrolling the city to about 650, he said.
Wow! Eleven people get shot and administrative "operations" get shut down. What's the number of house mouses that get sent back to the street when Chicago has a weekend where 70 people get shot?

Forty-two people killed in the last 30 days in that city. Three killed on the 16th and three killed on the 18th, these were separate shootings not just a couple of trifectas. Most all are black males killed. Imagine that. Good luck with cleaning up that shithole. And the people in the hood complaining again? But they hate the police. And they never learn. Chase some shithead dope dealing punk with a gun and hurt him with your baton as you run smack into him and now he is the victim and you are the criminal. And they threw the young white copper under the bus to placate the ever aggrieved community of illiterate fools, losers, criminals, whores, deadbeats, misfits, and other human garbage. Because it's always whiteys fault never our own. Anyone that would sign on in Baltimore or Chicago needs to see a shrink immediately.

Pity more black people are not waking up to the what the democratic party really is. This guy did, but he's no fool either. The mutts in the hood would call him Uncle Tom because he thinks for himself, speaks well and doesn't blindly follow the democrats line of lies. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aw-h9rwI1KU

Here's the Baltimore murder map and stats on the victims. https://homicides.news.baltimoresun.com/

ps: Does Special Ed -- aka: Fat-Head Ed, aka: Mr Fenner -- realize his days as CPD Supt are numbered. The new mayor will naturally want to pick his own Police Superintendent. (And 'Mrs Fenner' might be affected too.)

I’ve seen this happen a few times. Here’s the problem:

1. Few/None of these admin officers have the knowledge/skills/drive/desire to go out and be proactive. They’re all going to be piled 3-4 to a patrol car parked somewhere hiding.

2. It doesn’t matter how many officers you have on the streets of you don’t let them actually BE the police. When the police are defeated and the criminals are emboldened everything else is just smoke and mirrors.

District officers would stop and tell us on days that nothing really happened where we were parked. It did show one thing. The inside office work still got done with 20 to 25 percent of the staff away!

I remember that Open Market sham the Merit eggheads came up with some 10 years (?) ago.
They would put one (1) House Mouse in a car for a foot post for a week...Mon-Fri 07-1530 (per A&A’s).
Yes, a car for a foot post.
Not given any radio assignments and flat out refused walk-up hand wavers.
They’d get their Event number while malingering in the station...on the PCAD.
They all sat in a car for a hour, then went in on “station adjustments”, runs, see the DC, etc.
House mice, especially career house mice and cubicle no-timers are the biggest chickenshits and yet talk the biggest game.
District or Unit, doesn’t matter.

District dog and pony shows are nothing compared to HQ though.
But it’s what is to be expected from a third rate merit hack management chain.

Stay Fetal.

this same issue has come up again and again over the years through different mayors and police superintendents. I often wonder why? I do know that many district commanders have thumbed their noses at the orders of the current Superintendent with no consequences whatsoever. The only thing that I can think of is the district commanders have a whole lot of clout and the superintendent can do nothing to them.

Being a police officer I 100% agree. Timekeeper watch secretary, people that input the tickets. Why cant a civilian making 30 or 40 grand a year do those jobs? I know of more than a few timekeepers that have been off the street for 20+ years. What a joke. Sorry, dont walk around in your blue line shirt on casual fridays when you dont even know how to write a case report. Fuckin' joke.

If you need to be told what or how to doing things then your the wrong officer for the job.

Think of it like this way. Every clout/patronage job is like a trading card. So for every management bullshit job they create they create a trading card which they can trade for another favor from another Boss or Politician. Or whatever.

These Police Boss's are all bullshit. They bounce from one bullshit clout job to another riding the clout wave, trading favors and spots. Taking care of one guys "guy" and getting a return favor himself to put in in the bank.

Maybe one can chime in here and tell us all how legit the job is and how they made it on their own steam. Even the morons have figured out how this job works.

Ah, it's always entertaining when the "street coppers" get their crying towels out to complain about how hard they work and how the house mice don't do shit. Yada yada yada, for 26 years I worked the street, mostly on the the West side. I remember how hard it was, never having a spare minute for coffee and a paper, non-stop assignments and CB #'s, never even had time for lunch in 26 years!

For those of you that are a little slow, this is called sarcasm.

The above post very well may be true when it comes to clerical work, but I would not want a house mouse a sgt handling a crime scene, or a house mouse dealing with a hostile scene. That fine if you want to be a house mouse, but there should be a clause in the contract that if you are a house mouse you should not be able to take a promotional exam or receive a merit promotion. This department has way to many house mouses in charge and that is 1 of the major reasons this department has fallen as rapidly as it has. House mouses do not make good street, patrol bosses, not to mention house mouses make terrible detectives because they are afraid of the street. When you choose to become a house mouse you choose to lose the chance for promotion. That is how it should be. When I got on you never had some one with less then 20 years on the street working inside, those jobs were for the old timers or the sick or injured, that is how it should still be. We are the police not secretaries. So stop posting how hard a house mouse works, you took this job to be the police not a secretary, and if you did take this job to be a secretary you should be fired for lieing on your application. Be the police not a house mouse.
