No Shootings!
No, not here. Chicago can't seem to go twelve hours without someone getting ventilated:
- The last time New York City experienced a weekend without a shooting, Ruth Bader Ginsberg had just been named to the Supreme Court, "Jurassic Park" was thrilling audiences and the world wide web made its debut.
And then this weekend happened.
New York City officials announced no one had been shot in all five boroughs Oct. 12-14 — the first weekend free of shootings since at least 1993, the New York Post reported.
It could be that New York just hasn't found a body with holes in it yet, but maybe a city of 8.5 million souls suddenly started getting along, opening doors for each other, saying please, thank you and pardon me.
Maybe we shouldn't be surprised - no doubt Tokyo has gone months without shootings, so why not New York?

I read The Crime Numbers Game: Management By Manipulation. I know how they do things, at least when G-Mac was there. You may find the shooting classified as a "injured person" or "personal injury accident", "ventilation leak". I don't believe anything from Deblasio.

Tokyo punishes criminals and doesn't pander to parasitic savages. The main difference though is that their politicians don't sacrifice their country to stay or get into office. It wouldn't be put up with.
This is to be expected. The NYPD is the premier big city police force in the world. Everyone, except Chicago, would like to model it's PD after the NYPD.
Tokyo may have fewer shootings, but they have a remarkably higher rate of Godzilla attacks.

FYI....during McCarthy's first year as superintendent he also had 72 hours or more of no shooting victims,McCARTHY FOR MAYOR....
When the consent decree is in full force watch and see we will not go 2 hours without a shooting, in order save our jobs,family,homes,freedom we will pick-up the dead and scoop them into body bags let the "neighborhoods" bring the peace. maybe the enforcement badge alderman (all carry gold badges and have powers of arrest and can carry a weapon), will patrol. why don't the "activists" file a freedom of information demanding all elected home and cell phone numbers that way 24/7 they could respond along with the phony revs like flaky to their needs! that would be "change we can believe in!"

So, like it or not, white officer JVD is headed to prison. He shot an armed offender from about 12 feet away. Meanwhile, off-duty A/A Sgt. Khalil Muhammad shoots an unarmed autistic kid for no reason at all from what appears to be a much greater distance. But no charges for the sergeant. What gives?

Hey, nobody reports they were kilt either.
Joe doesn’t report getting grazed when he can’t get rid of his gat first.
Doesn’t report getting capped when his crew can do a retaliatory d-b soon thereafter.
Doesn’t report shooting himself in the left leg in course of pulling that heater out of his droopy draws
or in the left hand shooting from the drivers seat.

Maybe the “soft” on criminals strategy isn’t working here? You need a project exile type law here. Some people will never join a “ law abiding” society.

Great observation. You are really on top of the history of the CPD. Glad you noticed these two firsts by a CPD superintendent. One thatdrinks shocked me , but one one that’s a stooge for the mayor mortified me. We all know that’s not possible and that the prior superintendents were all independent and ran the department with no interference or control from city hall
