A couple of comments saying that the Aggressive Panhandling Ordinance has been repealed in recent weeks.
Others saying that no, it's not repealed, it's just being ordered to be ignored because Crimesha refuses to prosecute it.
What is the over/under on a Concealed Carry individual being accosted and lighting up a particularly aggressive panhandler in the coming days, weeks or months?
And what are the odds they stick around to answer a bunch of dumb questions?

It was repealed 14 November. Had nothing to do with being prosecuted or not. City council got rid of it. It wasn't constitutional the way it was written.

It was repealed, new section added as 8-4-026 "Threats or intimidation in public places"
New ordinance defines "assault," "intimidate," and defines unlawful conduct to say "no person shall assault or intimate any other person in any public place"

Since it's a municipal ordinance, wouldn't it be prosecuted by corporation council instead of the states attorney? Meaning that Foxxx wouldn't have a say in whether it gets prosecuted or not...
That's an MCC charge. Wouldn't that be prosecuted by the Corp Counsel and not the State's Attorney?

I would never pinch a legit citizen of carrying in the old W/S or S/S. The old time brothers did not play if they popped some stick up punk and the dicks would let it slide. These old timers were our friends and we would drink all night in their gin mills. Our $ was no good but we made it up to them. The stick up fucks would stay far-far away from these places along with the barber shops.

To be honest it was never really enforced. At least not in 001/018. And if you complained to the police, they threatened you. The Bureau of Patrol folks would at least help.
It was pretty silly, since the only penalty was a fine. And as for the CCL sticking around, they probably will, it's a pretty law abiding bunch.

Most of the prohibited actions in the Aggressive Panhandling ordinance would end in an ass whooping for the panhandler if the accosted was an able bodied man with any sense of honor, but those able bodied men are not the target of of aggressive “panhandlers”. The targets are women and the elderly. Way to protect those that can’t protect themselves Chicago. The aggressive “panhandlers” can now follow, harass, curse at, surround, block the path of and touch the victim. And there is nothing the police can do about it. It’s legal now.

That ordinance had not outlawed panhandling, just strong arm begging.
If the CCL holder is white and the aggressive panhandler (s)he shot some "other color," might not Crimesha move Heaven and Earth to find a criminal statute under which to charge the CCL holder?
No one in their right mind wants to be the next George Zimmerman.
Spray the [deleted] out of them with Sabre pepper gel. That way the number of questions being asked would probably be down by 90%.

Now they can legally harass you, they can curse you out, they can touch you, they can block your path, they can follow you, they can SURROUND you. That’s legal now you idiot. About this time last year I was aggressively panhandled inside a Walgreens at the pharmacy counter. Boozed up Dude waited until I opened my wallet and overheard me tell the cashier all I had was a 50. As soon as I turned from the counter he was in my face, first with a BS story and then demanding money. I gave him 2.00 and he blocked my path again, and said "give it to me". I didn't but had to do some fancy footwork to move around him. It was really an attempted strong arm robbery.
