Ten Years vs No Years

  • A divided Illinois Appellate Court panel has upheld a 10-year prison sentence that a Cook County judge gave a homeless drug addict convicted of the 2015 robbery of a Family Dollar Store on the West Side in which he got away with $33 of T-shirts and underwear.

Appellate Judge Terrence Lavin, writing for himself and Appellate Judge Mary Anne Mason, said it isn’t the job of the appeals court to substitute its judgment for that of the trial judge, Cook County Circuit Judge Mary Margaret Brosnahan. She imposed the harsh sentence on David Lundy, who had 10 prior convictions, most on theft and drug charges.

It's unbelievable what Robert G. Vanecko, Allison S. Davis and Richard (I'll punch your lights out) RJ Vanecko are getting away with. They just as despicable as the Clintons, Holder, Comey, Clapper et. al.

Maybe we should do what US Congresswoman Maxine Watters called for. You need to get up in their faces wherever they go.

Well, at least home grown will have a chance to kick the monkey off his back.

As for the grafters, aka democrats, just another day, another million dollars grafted from the taxpaying inhabitants.

I drove past the old defender building the other day and hope that the fund still owns that building. It looks great since the renovation and has to be making some money now.

Or if you attempt to defraud the cook county tax collection by removing plumbing to lower you home assessment you get offered to just pay it back. It’s all legitimate.

SCC maybe you could start an award program for the politicians who successfully "FUCK THE PEOPLE, I MEAN THE TAXPAYERS, out of the most money annually! You have Madiganistan who is the millennial favorite for state bankruptcy, Rahmbonomics for his efforts to bankrupt the city, further, Prickwrinkle for attempting to tax "everything" while the county is bankrupt and Fuxitup who continues to dig a hole deeper so no company ever comes to Chicago to reverse the flow of money out. But this years winner by far has to be a "CONSPIRACY" by the democ"RAT"ic party as a whole to steal every last penny not nailed down!
You have promising performances for future awards to Bill Daley for proposing new and ridiculous taxes, and then his brother as the lifetime award winner of how to steal everything and give the rest away to your friends on the taxpayers dime and not go to jail! Sad but its true and the voters are oblivious!

David wasn't connected to the Daley Crime Family. Therefore he goes to prison for 10 years. If any of us even stole $54.00 we would get hammered. Crook County at it's very best.

What was that old saying....."you will know who rules you because you may not criticize them"--well, add this: "you will know who rules you because they will not go to prison."

Our problem, obviously, is that we have way the Hell too many rulers....

D-V knew no bank was going to float that very risky portfolio of real estate in that particular housing climate.
If it were any good, plenty of investors would have been on board.
Next alternative - scam the financial ignorance of various pension boards.

Just how much D-V promised on a return investment is unknown, but it must to have been enough to at least propose a break even or it was an outright gamble to make a few bucks for a few pension board trustees in some form or another.

D-V doesn’t know nothing and claims a loss, then opens back up (without the V) to lesser dealings.
Hard to prove their sole intention was to abscond the pension funds.
After all, D-V did pay back on a couple deals, crumbs in comparison, but they made an effort and the Funds accepted these returns so criminal intent was eliminated.

Brokerage and lobbying is a get in-get paid-get out insider only business.
Somebody made the suggestion and referral to tap that pension fund capital.
Looking at how these pension boards were manipulated was never explored.

Too bad for the pensioners that they closed the short sided investigation.
(Closed as opposed to Suspended, an Area term)

Next time invest in underwear.
Many small startup underwear, socks to undies companies are putting up annual sales revenue numbers 10x beyond their diddly $10-20 mil venture capital investors.
For instance, TommyJohn Wear (private owned) is valued over $4 Bil with over $100 mil in sales.
Last year AdmoreMe took in $100 mil and Victoria Secret $7 Billion in sales.

According to market research NPD Group, just men spend over $2 Bil annually on underwear.
Everyone gotta wear draws, I hope.

This corruption is all the fault of phony us attorneys like Fardon, Fitzgerald and lausch. They are all too close to the dems and Fardon and Lausch are both friends of Rahm and gave him a pass for his entire crooked term. They have also let daley, madigan and the others slide for decades. They let Rahm slide for all the pay to play from the developers and the Lolla park district games with his brother, the TIF scandals. I hope I’m wrong but I feel they will let Burke slide too. Lausch wants to be friends with the dems.

Lisa “the skank” Madigan should be federally investigated for not investigated DV investments and the pension trustees for fiduciary crimes. The pensions funds would have been better off investing with Bernie Madoff. They would have recovered more losses. Why don’t the pensions sue OBamas old law firm? Why no ARDC complaints?
But you can pick up the phone and get a CR on the a police officer that will be on his record for life? Who will hire Davis or Vanecko in the future? Both are lawyers both are thieves.
