Get Out of Schools
Why are officers even in schools? If they get attacked, the Department and Crimesha won't back them up:
- All charges have been dropped against a 16-year-old Marshall High School student who was removed from school by Chicago police last week.
Video later surfaced showing police officers using a stun gun on the student.
The student, Dnigma Howard, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated battery to a peace officer and two misdemeanor counts of resisting and obstructing a peace officer. Wednesday morning, prosecutors said the charges were dropped.
We were contacted by someone close to the investigation. Can you guess why the charges were dropped?

That's it. The CPS video, which clearly shows the female officer desperately attempting to retrieve her thumb from the offender's mouth AND the male officer being punched/kicked in the balls two times AND the female assailant attempting to grab hold of the taser - all of that is discounted because in the heat of a battle, the officers were unable to activate their cameras.
Not to mention the hospital reports outlining the officer's injuries - does Crimesha know that it is illegal to resist an arrest, even if the arrest itself is (or is believed to be) unlawful/improper? That is to protect both the officer and the offender, and Civil Court is the remedy after that point, not a States Attorney unilaterally deciding to print a blank check to an assailant by not prosecuting videotaped crimes.
It's time to pull officers out of the schools and let CPS security handle their own shit instead of middling officers and jeopardizing their careers.

This makes me sick to my stomach. We should have the same rights as any other human being. I work at one of the Areas, and from now on I am going to ask the responding ASAs uncomfortable questions about their mission. That’s about all you can do besides leave this shitshow. There’s conservative and liberal ASAs but don’t doubt that every single one of em would hang you out to dry if given the order to do so.
I'm a civilian but how do we fix this? What course of action can be taken? Who do we contact at the state or federal level? I had family members who were in law enforcement for decades but I want to do SOMETHING before I leave this shithole for greener pastures... I am beyond disgusted... Absolutely! This incident started because Dnigma was being suspended for fighting another student! (Battery) Dad was there on scene at the school. Typical CPS BS instead of sending a CPS employee and Dad to escort her to the Office they had the School Officers Do it. Well, she fought the police and Dad and CPS watched. Did nothing to help. This is typical behavior from the CPS administration. Call the CPD when you need help and when it goes south they don't back you up. CPS always middles the police in violation of their own rules of conduct. Let them hire their own security. Secondly if a student is in in school they should not be arrested while in class unless it is a felony. They don’t work a full day, or if they have partners they take turns doing half shifts. There is always going to be officers willing to take the spot.

1) The FOP ought to REFUSE to send their members to ANY CPS property. Forget it. If you're not going to get any support, why show up at all? Let CPS hire their own police force or security force or whatever.
CPD ought to sit outside the school, if the shit spills out onto the street, look, laugh, wave, and when the combatants are all over the street bleeding out - call an Ambulance, drop paper, and leave.
2) Instead of dropping these fine Community members off with their bought and paid for Prosecutor - Cabrini Crimesha - transport them all to the FEDERAL Prosecutor's office. Take ALL arrests there. Tell the Feds that you're dropping them off because the STATE PROSECUTOR has abdicated her duties, is engaging in malfeasance, and is endangering ALL the law-abiding citizens of the State and Federal territories.
After about maybe 50 of these fine community members being dropped off for a variety of FEDERAL offenses, Weapons, Interstate Commerce involved criminal activities, carjackings, robbing trains, and so on - and watch the FEDERAL Prosecutor be forced into doing something. Like:
A) Prosecuting the J/O's dropped off
B) Opening an investigation into CRIMESHA FOXX and her unilateral implementation of so-called "Restorative Justice". Wouldn't it be great to see her PERP walked on TV?

* Parent of the student
* Any insurance that the parent has - it's a stretch, but maybe renter's insurance
* If the parent(s) work and have some kind of health insurance, name that insurer too. Coppers got injured, will have medical expenses - sue.
* Add in CPS. Supposedly this kid was suspended, not to be on the premises. Where was the CPS security? Locked door? Cameras? Metal Detectors? Who let her in the school? Add that person, their parents/insurers to the lawsuit too.
* Toss in Crimesha Foxx - at the very least, this could go before a Grand Jury if she doesn't believe there's enough evidence. This is not about winning. In fact, policing in general is not about winning.
Police should not be "pro-active", if by that you mean doing things courts have consistently determined are unconstitutional.
As for handcuffing children, that is problematic for younger children, but maybe necessary on occasion for older ones who are acting out or are violent. Cops have made themselves look bad on the handcuffing issue by cuffing young children who are just being children because they have a terrible policy on such things that they are following.
As for putting hands on children, that is another touchy thing that needs to be carefully considered. In some cases it may become necessary, but a lot of times it is more about cop ego than necessity.
no matter what, as long as you are dealing with a lot of children who are not well disciplined, and no one really cares about, and often have emotional, mental, and other health problems, you will have major issues when cops interact with school children. These things need to be considered ahead of time so everyone knows what is expected. This is not, cannot, nor should it be a decision made by police on the spot. It is just too important to be left to that kind of ad hoc decision making.

Made a complaint against ASA Veryl Gambino years ago for nolle pros a Att Murder on PO after getting shot at and shooting the Offender. She pled case out to 5 years for the gun. ARDC response was that they can’t rule against an attorney working in an elected office. And what did I get for it? I got retaliated against, pressured by Leo Schmitz to drop my fight and then still removed from streets for 7 months. And tried finding a lawyer to take the case on a Whistleblower claim to no avail because no one likes representing the police or there’s a conflict of interest with most city law firms. So take it from me, save the ink and paper. Attempts to have the ARDC investigate is futile.

Ms. Foxx’s actions, or should I say lack of action, puts officer safety at much greater risk. Because if juveniles know they can assault police officers and not be charged, the lack of repercussion will encourage more assaults on officers.

Let's be honest here, Kim Foxx probably watched the video and was rooting for the offender and against the officers. Time and time again, Kim Foxx demonstrates her disdain for police officers. She has openly admitted that she cannot separate herself from her Cabrini Green born hatred of the police. What's most hysterical is that even Mary Mitchell took a swipe at Foxx today for refusing to prosecute this offender. You know things are really going off the rails when Mary Mitchell criticizes Foxx for failing to do her job. She is a disgrace and has no place being in the seat of the State's Attorney of Cook County. Let's hope she either moves on to some other job or is defeated in the next election.

What level of denial must these teacher partake in in order to continue functioning.
Where the hell are the unions? The presidents of each of the police unions should be in Johnson's office screaming about Foxx's actions.
Once again nothing will be done as we slide on that slippery slope to a world where it's every man/women for themselves. I for one hope we get there before I am to old to defend myself and there are no cops to help the defenseless.
All I am reading on here is what should've been done and what should be done. This is a sinking ship beyond salvaging. The FOP has and will do nothing to help. They're more worried about securing their spots in office than doing what's right for the officers of this department. When will people stop monday morning quarterbacking and finally say Fuck it!?

Hire more social workers counselors, talked to a cps principal he told me at least 75% of students are taking meds and need special attention something called an iep.

As a CPS teacher, most of us who continue to show up to work each day are either delusional in our assumption that learning happens or are extremely bitter and angry at those delusional enough to say that teaching and learning happens in our classrooms.
