Deal Falls Through
- A May trial date has been set in the murder of a 2-year-old Rockford boy whose body parts were found in the Garfield Park Lagoon. After a proposed plea deal fell apart amid complaints from the toddler’s family, Kamel Harris is set to go on trial May 15 for the 2015 murder and dismemberment of Kyrian Knox.
Harris and prosecutors last month seemed poised to end the case with a guilty plea to reduced charges and a sentence far shorter than what Harris would face if convicted on counts of murder, concealing a homicidal death and dismemberment of a corpse.
At a hearing last month, Judge Timothy Joyce said he would hold a full sentencing hearing in open court before deciding on a sentence if Harris pleaded guilty. “That’s not a risk Mr. Harris is willing to take,” Harris’ lawyer, Kulmeet Galhotra, told the judge Wednesday.
Crimesha is willing to excuse the murder of a child in pursuit of her (and Prickwrinkle's) social justice agenda. Good for the family and the judge for making her do her job.

I told you so several months ago. This is only the first of many shoes to fall. Miles driven tax coming as well as a another in Chicago gas tax. Water cot will be raised in time foe lawn watering this summer. The bag cost is going up to $.10 per bag. City stickers and plates going up $20 and SUV will have a higher rate sue to global warming. Plans foe after the election hard look at living wage in city, some feel it should go up to $17-18 per hour. Wth Metra losing money a 20% fare hike is a possibility. Finally state and city looking at a new corporate tax rate 10% higher then current rates across the board. All in all it looks like the privilege in living in the lovely state of Illinois will cost you a lot more money next year. The City Machine has complete control over whole State. So the most up to date democrat policy is for late term abortions and killing an innocent fresh out of the womb new born as "choice" or reproductive decision making. It seems numerous democrat led state legislatures are expanding the definition infanticide for newborns fresh out of the womb.
But democratic policy across the nation forbids the death penalty for convicted murderers after their action's caused the death of another human being. Democrats believe in the sanctity of life for murderers as a "moral" decision shocking their conscience.
What shocks your conscience more? An innocent baby taking first breaths who has a chance to be a stellar human being given an instant death penalty without all those legal appeals or the convicted recidivist murderer trash whose life is spared by a sympathetic legal profession ensuring those Constitutional Rights and years of appeals are followed to the letter of the law.
What values do democrats actually believe in and practice? And what does the law profession with all those smart lawyers have to say about the sanctity of life for newborns as opposed to the life of convicted murderers? Life is cheapened for the most innocent but held in the highest regard of those who have been convicted of so much killing.
