Chris Petis, merit sergeant whose good buddy is you guessed it.... Eugene Williams, who happened to have his buddy put Petis in for said merit sgt's spot and who also happened to be the one who leaked the lieutenant's test to his noble peeps. Petis is so dumb, he had the answers to the test and still bombed it. Petis was one of the first 3 people called down by the Inspector General's Office and served with allegations of cheating because he had test related study materials in his department emails. Those are facts and not rumours. Do some light digging, or better yet ask the right people. The sergeant's union Jim Ade along with flunky Paul Bilotta knew about it but failed to disclose it to the membership when Petis ran for Vice President. Then they put this box of rocks on the contract negotiation team. No conflict of interest there. Not at all. Let's see, the city has Petis by the balls and he's on the contract negotiation team?!? Wonder who's side he is more beholden to. And now Petis is a merit lieutenant, after doing Barb West's under the table dirty work getting the right family members and bosses kids through the CPD application and background processes. Sergeant's, you better wake up and start paying attention to the clowns who are running your union. They are all a bunch of kiss ass "yes" men to Ade and now the goof, wannabe Big McGaffer Bilotta. This POS has a history of doing everything possible that would be considered against the code of conduct of any department, let alone CPD! To date he has lost a total of 3 (THREE) guns and never served a single day for one of them. He has a collection of CR’s that seem to go nowhere (must be all the O/T he‘s pimping up to IAD), and till today, continues to make sexually explicit and derogatory comments to females working in unit 123. In a good week he might show up to work on three or four days (usually after 0930), and even then only for a few hours (gone after lunch). Even with his salery, all the O/T he claims to work in unit 123 and his salery from the Sergeants Union, he still keeps falling into bankruptcy! This guy should be the poster child for “Who should never be promoted”. I can believe no one in the ivory palace sees what’s wrong with this picture!!! This literally tells every member of CPD that it’s OK to do these things. And let’s not forget that he was recently placed on the CooCoo watch list.........

You couldn't be more wrong. She is in fact qualified to be a Captain. She ran Special Events as the C/O with only a handful of people. Not only deserving but a smart District/Unit Commander would beg the Sup to assign her to their unit.
Pettis and the rest of the officers assigned to Unit 123 are killing it in OT without even working the hours they claim. It's a great scheme and who needs VRI when OT is not even checked into. Pettis we told you at the meeting you were bringing heat on yourself and your unit but per usual you are above it all. So now IG will be checking into your subordinates oh how they were racking up OT without even being there.

That’s is nickname for himself but most people just refer to him as “Mighty MOUTH”. Don’t get me wrong, they could have picked worse. He will make a good Lieutenant. Never shyed away from a cluster. He’s out on the street, responds to calls and makes decisions on-scene. It’s a lot more than most of the “field” Lts in 014 do.

First they have to pick the company which has to do the leg work for the test (6-12 months), announce it officially so maybe end of this year???

Talk about throwing your vote away? Joyce didn’t start campaigning until the last three weeks. Vallas and McCarthy have been at it for a year, and their numbers are dropping precipitously while Joyce’s have climbed + 4 in a week and continue to build momentum. Provides that the registered owner of a motor vehicle that is approved to participate in the program shall, in lieu of the taxes imposed under the Motor Fuel Tax Law, pay a per-mile road usage charge for metered use by the subject vehicle of the highways in this State. Provides that the per-mile road usage charge is $0.021 per mile. Effective immediately.
I'm ok with it if it only applies to gas vehicles. No need to tax clean electric vehicles.

It should apply to electric and hybrid vehicles. They put just as much wear and tear on the roads, if not more due to their higher weight, as do conventional vehicles. But contribute little or nothing to the expense of maintaining those roads.
And they are not as green as a lot of people think they are.

Sean Ronan made it on his own hard work and was not merit. He has a great reputation as a midnight sgt in 025. What ever district that has Sean as a LT will understand how a manager should be on the street. He has the knowledge and experience to lead his officers. Sean's wife was an excellent supervisor at the academy and never falsified any records. She helped but made sure all recruits earned their way in the academy.
