Police Shooting - South
- A person was shot by a Chicago police officer Tuesday night in the South Shore neighborhood.
At 7:37 p.m., the officer shot the person in the 7400 block of South Bennett, according to preliminary information from Chicago police.
The person, an adult of an unknown gender, was taken to University of Chicago Medical Center in serious-to-critical condition, according to Chicago Fire Media Affairs.
No further information was immediately made available.

What was the sex of the offender?
They will know pretty quickly at the hospital when they cut the clothes off and insert a catheter.
I know, there are only 2 sexes but unlimited genders.

Coppers up North in 024 saved hostages that exited from an elevated window who's son held them locked in a room while wielding a gun and then shot at a police Sgt. Any awards to those brave men in the works??? And thanks to the 020th district Sgt with the rifle. A lot of units responded including the wagon. It was resolved before swat arrived. Nice job to the coppers that risked their lives to save others.
Be open, aboveboard, and transparent as the investigation goes on and most likely there's not going to be much in the way of push back.

I'm confused....a citizen here. I thought COPA investigated Police shootings, ie if the Police did anything wrong. I mean Copa responded to the shooting and immediately began investigating the use of force, agency spokesman Ephraim Eaddy told the Sun-Times.

Awards??? Are you really crying on the internet that you want an award??? Stop it milenil. Not everyone gets a trophy. If you get one great if you don’t then who cares it’s not about awards. Even the beast coppers I knew never got awards because it was about going out and doing police work.. awards were an afterthought. Stop being a stroke.
