School Attack
Two cops get attacked in a school, drag them both down the stairs, and now claims to be a victim:
- The father of a Chicago Public Schools student says police were too aggressive when they used a stun gun on his 16-year-old daughter and punched her earlier this week at a West Side high school — and raised questions about why cops are stationed at the school in the first place.
Well, we're pretty sure the cops are stationed there because of people (folks?) like your daughter - attacking staff, security and finally cops. She got tasered because she almost chewed off an officer's thumb. She got smacked because she punched the other officer in the testicles - twice - and we aren't supposed to taser more than twice. She got dragged down the stairs because she was grappling with the officers who got dragged down the stairs by her.
She's an assailant, and assailants get subdued. Both officers are still off work, once with significant damage to her thumb, one with a broken kneecap.

You cant get a raging child to calm down without physical intervention. There are techniques and guidelines for physical restraint when an IEP child gets physical. Assigned to the school patrol and worked CPS schools over 20 + years . Yes by choice with no clout. Schools are and have been out of control for years now more so due to the restorative justice project. . Principals perspective no data or reports no crime or problems Best complimentary letter I recieved was from a co-worker(P.O) after he was told by myself and partner watch what comes in and out and hangs around and judge for yourself if you want your child here. Yes I worker in a lottery school not a select enrollment school. I too along with my partner and a assist unit which was called because problems were anticipated where a taser was pointed but not used after the arrestee began to comply but not before we were all battered ,myself with a serious hand injury being in a several cast over a 6-8 month period followed by 12 weeks of hand/physical therapy . Upon my return for doing my job was removed from my assignment . Maybe because I didn’t go along with the CPS/principals flow. Shame on you balless CPD supervisors for not standing up for your own. Arrestees trial was even better I refused for over two years to plea bargain my charges and never appeared in court( Skokie figure that one out??) when the arrestee a adult pled out. Still trying to figure out what happen to the video on this because it happened after the JVD incident and the video was and had to be viewed by CPD Det(s) handling and was never inventoried??? even though it can only be viewed on a CPS security system. X2 tasers are garbage and are often ineffective. This video displays how overdependency on the taser on an assailant can lead to negative results. Officers, if there are 2 of you grab both arms to restrain the subject. Tried and true....instead of a swinging match you'll have a much easier and safer time with wrestling the assailant to the ground.

This is a sad situation. Not only F1/M1 kids involved in these types of incidents even white kids from affluent and working class families are involved in in situations like this. Look at how the opioid crisis is kicking Appalachia’s ass and even affecting well heeled lake shore families. Guys let’s keep an open mind. There has to be far more funding for mental health professionals and social workers in schools. Not everybody comes from a nice little Catholic family. I’m just saying.

We should embrace the toddler and offer support for what the bad police did to her. CNN should do a hour special on how her life has been shattered and she will never be the same again. The school should close for at least a week and offer counseling for the students who have been traumatized by this show of police brutality. OR just lock the p.o.s up and move on.

Officers shouldn’t have to remain composed. They should be able to stop the resistance and attack. Officers tend to get injured when they try to use force less than necessary to stop the attack.
Maybe her Mama should have that sit down talk with her about how to act when dealing with the police. Prickwinkie said that ALL black women have that talk with their children white people don't.

The officers involved will not return to the school, according to CPS. School district spokesman Michael Passman issued a statement Friday night:
“CPS strives to create safe and supportive learning environments for all students, and this disturbing incident has absolutely no place in our schools. To ensure a thorough review of this situation is conducted, we are asking the district’s Office of the Inspector General to review the matter and we will fully support the ongoing investigation by the City’s Civilian Office of Police Accountability.”

I once had a principal call the police and wanted a student to be arrested because she told him to go "fuck himself". I informed the principal that she has free speech and that it was not a crime for her to tell him that and that it was a discipline problem that the school had to handle. Not a police problem.

I subbed in the West side for 5 months and developed several physical problems just from the stress. As soon as I quit the problems went away. No one cares about those kids and they know it. That is why they are not afraid to fight you.

We had CPD at our high school when I was a kid way back in 1980. Except then, kids respected the poleece. If there was a need for their involvement, you didn’t question their authority and you were grateful they were there. They were nice guys. I ran into one of them while he was working his beat job, he asked me what the hell I was doing in that neighborhood; he told me to get out of the area because it was a sh*t neighborhood that wasn’t safe. The guy honestly cared, gotta respect that.

The officers may not be able to sue the department and CPS ( although they would deserve it). They may be able to bring an action directly against the parents of the violent girl for injuries and losses.
However, the city will jump on that lawsuit, and demand repayment for any damages awarded, as they had to foot the bill for medical costs, compensatory time off, and any other costs and losses.
I have done it before and won. Consult an attorney.
And don't let anyone , especially some salty old vet, tell you that it can't be done. Two officers successfully sued an arrestee who falsely complained that they sodomized him with a stick. Ex Sgt. John Herman won a four million dollar judgment against a prostitute, although he will never see a dime of that recovery.
Even Al Sharpton and his ghetto puppet Tawana Brawley was successfully sued by a prosecutor and others for false rape allegations.
Injuries , losses, are easier to prove in court than defamation and false allegations. And the excuse that not suing the little monster and her folks would be a waste of time because they have no assets doesn't hold water. A judgment is good for 20 years in Illinois. You can't bankrupt out of punitive damages. And you never know what kind of cash or assets ( insurances, inheritance, lawsuit) the little monster will accrue in upcoming years.

The father blamed everyone else but himself and the rabid kid for this incident and then he said that he didn’t know what to do because if he had intervened the police would have shot him and if he didn’t the police would have killed the kid.
