- A 9-year-old boy was critically injured after being attacked by a dog and a second child suffered a graze wound after the dog was shot Wednesday night, Chicago police said.
Police said the boy was at a relative's house in the 9800-block of South Indiana Avenue at about 8:11 p.m. The boy was attacked by the family dog and then a relative fired a handgun and killed the dog. A second child was grazed by the gunfire.
The 9-year-old boy injured by the dog was transported to Comer Children's Hospital in critical condition. The second child who suffered the graze wound was also transported to Comer Children's Hospital, where the child's condition stabilized.
Expect another series of anti-gun laws to be proposed shortly.

What breed(s) of dog was the biter?
Hopefully the parents of that child who got grazed file a lawsuit against the person behind the trigger.

It's good, in following reporting guidelines, that they don't mention the breed of the dog. It's not relevant, and prevents the promulgation of negative dog stereotypes.
I notice that the story doesn't state the breed of the dog - inbred untrained and abused pitbull or pitbull mix - the favorite dog for drug dealers and paroled felons who are not able to have a gun on the premises.
It’s the police’s fault for not knowing about the dog. Don’t they have dog spotter cameras in that neighborhood? What does the dynamic trio of rush, jackson and sharpton have to say about this? They work with a lot of dogs.
