While You're Sleeping

This is what's protecting you up north:

Fourteen total cops. No wagon (unless a beat car doubles as 1671). Only two 10-4 units, so help is a long way off. Be safe.

Anyone know what 008 or 022 look like?

No joy saying so just the reality of what's become.
Stay safe - and fetal - you LEOs.

"Do More With Much Less"

How much money has been stolen/misappropriated
and deliberately allocated away from The Patrol
Division of CPD in order to "achieve efficiencies?"

Rahm and G-Mac both deserve the big and dry
Federal dick in their coal chutes for upwardly
fucking public safety so badly in tax-paying
neighborhoods in order to pander to the tax
absorbing non-contributors.

What?

300 to 500 officers running into each other
in 007, 011 and other garden spots while Dude Inc.
roams around in 017, 018, 019 and 020 because
just like in 016, those districts are also
staffed with a skeleton crew.

You forgotten and forsaken good citizens in these
districts have better be prepared to maim and kill
these mutts who are rolling around hunting YOU
because they KNOW Rahm and g-Mac and Stupe-Ed
have DELIBERATELY left YOU unprotected.

M/Fer intrudes on your domestic tranquility?

...Self Defense by ANY and ALL means necessary.

Then?

Hefty Steel-Sack.
Bag of garden lime.
Shovel.
A hole in the ground on a moonless
night in a far off Forest Preserve.

Don't say SHIT!

Be content that you actually did
society a solid by taking out some trash.

I hear 017 is down to like 160 some cops now. The new commander won't ask for help for his people, you know, he has to pretend that it's all under control. Until it's not. Very soon with manpower that thin.

001 would love that much back up. You should Er the manpower (lack of) downtown.

that looks a lot of manpower compared to 019 afternoon shifts.

The south and west side get it all and the real tax payer get nothing, this is the Chicago way, a new mayor elected and nothing will change

008 isn’t the same as 016 or 022. 008 is huge and the east end is basically englewood so the department fully loads 008.

Who cares. It’s not like anyone should be doing any proactive police work anyway. Go to your job, take time finishing it and if another officer needs help while you are still on the job say “excuse me, but I have to go help fellow officer in need, I’ll will be back to give you your report”. You can only be in one place at a time. I will not allow myself to stress over this anymore. Most important thing is to go home safe.

Truly maddening. Pay the most taxes and want the police around and get completely shit on. More pandering to the “community” which hates the police, doesn’t deserve their service and can’t behave themselves for a day.

Anyone have current staffing numbers for 019? The last I found were on CWBChicago.com with 373 as of October 2018.

My neighborhood organization just got invited to next month's retirement ceremony for 019 Commander Marc Buslik. We've only had good interactions with him, as well as the rest of the Officers serving 019. Any word about his successor?

Looks similar to the sheets in 14 on midnights. The only difference is they down cars instead of putting up 99 units. On a normal night they have 3-4 (out of 12) primary beat cars down. It’s not because of excessive time due or medical it’s because this years watch selection found us sit 113 bodies to divide among the three watches. Last two years it was 143. That’s -30 officers from 2018 to 2019. And then we wonder why the savage comes up to Wicker Park to carjack, rob and steal.

Don't worry. Don't fear. FOP will write a letter and make it all better. It's been going on for 10 years or so... And FOP hasn't done a damn thing about it. But we own 50% of that for not standing together.

Jugg-Headquarters mismanagement.
Shaky DC’s can’t and won’t speak up about low manpower just limit time off.

The northwest end of the District probably spends 70% of their time in the growing feral 30 sector with Callback 3-1-1 handling the rash of property crimes for the rest.

In the age of catch and release restorative justice, is Tact still necessary?
CAPS community activism certainly isn’t, as well as the Admin Office Blue Shirt Clerk paper shuffler contingency.
Big changes coming May 20th.

Positive Community Interaction Expansion.
Districts will begin to assist with delivering the U.S. Mail to increase day light hours visibility.
S&S will issue and require Beats to carry a broom and shovel to sweep the street curbs between assignments.

002 is fully staffed with 10-4 cars on 3rd AND 2nd watch! The place is not even that busy with violent crime! Just a bunch of petty calls for service. Mentals, juveniles and your typical baby mama/daddy drama domestics! There are enough PO’s to man all the cars, fixed posts, school cars AND rapids most days! Plenty of supervision too so there’s plenty of micromanagement! How is this possible with so many decent neighborhoods getting the minimal of resources?? What entitles the citizens of 002 to so much police resources? The Hyde Park Haters? The University of Chicago liberal crybabies? This place is treated with kid gloves! Fuck this place!

How could you possibly say the new commander hasn't asked for help??? You have no clue nor access to each and every conversation that goes on with the powers that be....why don't you go and ask him if you're so sure? You're an idiot.

In 008 & 022 you will have a large contingent of officers and units on the street, you just won’t see them on the west side of the districts.
In 022 there are 3 beats west of the station that you are lucky if there is 1 unit out there. And they are usually riding solo out there.

Capt Kane was the heir apparent. Hoping that holds true. He’s a great boss.

The alderman publishes the running manpower once a month. Scroll down. We’re at 384. Last month was 379 and Feb was 384. https://us8.campaign-archive.com/?u=4e8236e6b2b1af8fa8eaa3f9f&id=0085e3930c

That’s odd, because I also am a cop and live in 811, and I NEVER see the 1 marked car or any rapids. In fact, I check my house cameras daily and have gone weeks without a cop driving down my block, let alone an alley.

When I mentioned it to the mighty “neighborhood watch” led by the bad chili slinger I was told that since I’m a cop, I should handle things myself. And be a block mayor or whatever they call it. You know, so all the residents can knock on my door and say “you’re the police, handle this ______-“.

So either keep up the propaganda, or your house is on the route to Peaches and Pears or Portillos, or my cameras must be lying. But you are deluded. The ghetto would have 4 cars in the same size area as 811 has. They just don’t care about taxpaying residents.
