Blame the Police Again
- The Land Rover that fatally hit a Broadview teen walking near Buckingham Fountain and fled the scene had been involved in a police pursuit and was reported stolen, according to a Chicago police traffic crash report.
The vehicle, a large, black Land Rover bearing Illinois plates of Q 291833, was suspected to be stolen and was “involved in a Chicago police vehicle pursuit,’’ the report said.
It was not clear if the pursuit was occurring when the wreck happened.
If you read the rest of the article, not a single witness or bystander is quoted as saying the police were anywhere in sight, arrived on scene unnaturally fast or anything else that would hint at a pursuit.
But in Journalism 101-SJW, you can put bullshit in the article as long as it fits the anti-police narrative. After all, no bleeding-heart libtard wants to actually go to the scene, ask pertinent questions, maybe pry some info from Google-me about the Who, What, Where and When the alleged pursuit took place - as in a hour before the crash or maybe it was called off five miles ago. A reporter might actually see blood and body parts lying around and that would be scary.

Yellow journalism at its best!
Yes it was a police chase, it was terminated, police stopped, bad guy didn’t. There is clear pod camera video that shows the horrible scene of the vehicle striking this man. The police were not behind it and arrived on scene minutes later.
The pursuit was called off and there are 001 cops working the Stones concert that saw the cars following stop and turn around at McFetridge which is a half a mile from where he it the pedestrian crossing at the fountain.
Maybe this reporter went to an bullshit online journalism school like University of phoenix.
wheres the post with big NO for chasing stolen cars ?
Well , when Carter is on record falling it a pursuit.....it's a pursuit
The common perceptions are the deceptions.
1. Law Enforcement has a duty to prevent crime. (False.)
2. Law Enforcement has a duty to enforce law without using any force greater than the democrat political party publicly approves of. (False.)
3. Law Enforcement is best when the democrat political party determines every miniscule detail of it's activities. (False.)
4. The enforcement of law causes the violatings of same, per democrat political party edict. (False for former, true for latter.)
5. Law Enforcement actions are always wrong, even when proven right, per democrat political party edict. (Again, False for former, true for latter.)
6. Law Enforcement must be perfect, perfection being defined by democrat political party edict on an ever changing basis based upon political expediencies. (False for former, oh so true for latter.)
7. Law Enforcement existence prevents utter chaos, wanton mayhem, prolific violent criminal actions and abundant sufferings of the innocents. (False. The existence of reliable Law Enforcement responses = protection of criminals from summary executions by innocent and resolved to keep the peace residents.)
The false perceptions, being equal to deceptions, is the cause of violent criminals not being rendered fully peaceful via summary execution.
Within an area where violent criminals are scarce, this alone is the primary reason for said absent violent criminals.
Where law enforcement is rendered effectively ineffective, yet, still present and responsive, violent criminals abound.
The rendering effectively ineffective hereabouts is accomplished by the well known, by experiences, means, methods and miscreant democrat political party mechanizations.
FUBAR the police.
FUBAR the judiciary.
FUBAR, to depths not imagined, the prosecutorial.
EXCEPT when it comes to citizens and residents utilizing the one, primary means to keep the peace.
To rely upon the individual law enforcement employees to apply discretions in enforcing the law upon those citizens and residents attempting to keep the peace effectively, is to place each individual law enforcement employee firmly within the trick bag of lose-lose. Which is, of course, the intent of the democrat political party.
The occasionally expressed concept of the police executing a job action akin to a labor union strike, even for a mere 24 hours, is an absurd expectation of the effect of same, which would be barely noticible, if noticed at all.
The democrat political party has sown decades of seeds here and the harvest is abundant in quantity and clearly of the quality which the democrat po!itical party intends.
Yep.
The democrat political party.
The seed sowers of violent criminal activities.
For generations.
The city brings itself problems sometimes. The city thinks that by having a tighter pursuit policy that it’s going to somehow civilly protect them.. not the case, they are still gonna pay out. Pretty much now the city is putting themselves on the hook for every pursuit almost all of them are against general order which puts liability instantly on the officer and they city. The lawyers don’t care about the officers pocket.. violate general Orders or not they are still Going after the deep city pockets. Soften the pursuit police so initial actions aren’t immediate violations and you give some leeway in the civil arena. Have a pursuit that is on par with other major jurisdictions and you can argue that you follow an industry standard and practice. Too tight of a policy and you just screw yourself in the long run.
Why is anyone doing pursuits? Why is anyone pursuing stolen vehicles? That’s what happens when you put new officers together on 06 incident cars.. This department hasn’t learned yet.
Used to be Cadillacs, now Range Rovers
(They wait 'till they come off lease, then get a
7-yr sub-prime loan)
Only two kinds out there....
Original owners (or leasers) and pre-owned...
Which is the bigger fool?
More journalistic nonsense.
How horrible for the family of the victim. Incredibly horrible...
EVERYTHING any major media outlet reports should start with, "Once upon a time".
They just fabricate a story to fit their anti-Police narrative.
Anyone who actually thinks that they're legit is a moron.
I watched the POD camera of this accident. It was horrible and extremely fortunate 5-7 others weren't killed at the crosswalk also. Didn't see any police vehicles in sight after the offender, who never slowed down, kept going. If the chase was terminated at Mcfetridge, that's over a mile away. But hey, the city will pay anyway and blame the police.

Facts, who needs em when you are pushing an agenda? The day of reckoning is coming for fake media.
This. This is your 'legalized Marijuana' future. Embrace it, Illinois!
Man, Why does it have to be a "Black" Land Rover? What does it's color have to do with the crime? I don't think they should mention it. We need to tone down the racist agenda of the news media in our community.
Fuck it I am going to start leaving my keys in the ignition! No ones going to give a shit or do anything if some POS steals my car! I just wonder how long it will take the ASSHOLES who are running this state into the ground, to make a law that makes it a crime to leave my keys in the car...sounds par with the justice system in shitcago...blame the victim.
Again the media stirring up the anti police hatred with tired rhetoric keep dredging media keep lighting that explosive wick:
https://chicago.suntimes.com/2019/6/28/18759928/jack-axium-n-word-barack-obama-chicago-police-department-racial-slur
All the things being said about our President Trump who is doing his best to make America great again more jobs protecting us from terrorism and this comment about a former president that accomplished nothing but more hatred of law and order is being brought up again! Yes it was a stupid comment as Barry would say he acted “stupidly,” with the heat approaching rapidly the people/folks stirring media you keep lighting that flame. We know the democrats completely control the media and want total destruction of everything good including police officers and taxpayers, and media wants the rule of law to be eliminated! God bless the police under extreme attack from elected democrats the media and the savages that are bent on death and destruction!
But it was a black vehicle that struck the pedestrian, so, no marches-demonstrations, etc..
The journalism staff in Chicago is only interested in demonizing the police. The worse is the sun times group of cop haters headed by Matt Hendrickson, Nader Issa, Mary Mitchell and drunk wife beater Neil Steinberg.
You My Friend are 100% CORRECT
Again the left never holding the savages accountable, just the police. What could go wrong with that, look how well that is working out.
Google guy quick to brag that the incident was captured on HD cameras. Does this guy still live at home with mommy?
Who they going to sue if they can’t pin it on the cops. Do not chase period. Do not chase.

Once you start the chase, you might as well finish it. The liability is still there. The driver running has no idea the chase was called off and will still continue fleeing to get out of the area

Richard asked, so these MFer's do not want to see the real of what goes on in the community?
This way they can write their bullshit and even believe it. When are we
going to talk about the twelve ton side aimed handgun presence of Dude Inc?
Oh, silly me. Never...
It’s always the fault of the police...... nobody else has to take any responsibility or accountability.
Stop chasing 5 and 10 yr wonders what’s wrong with you I guess you didn’t get the memo
"The city brings itself problems sometimes..."
I've never thought about it like that. An excellent point.

Well, I guess it’s a start. Maybe the media will eventually be reporting when black offenders are involved.
Lori thinks yellow journalism is The Yellow Pages.
BTW, she's been spreading lies about Poverty as the
cause of Crime. Did we have all these drive-by-murders
and school shootings in The Great Depression?
Answer: NO!
Monday, July 1, 2019: Accountability Meeting
Lori, please account for that!
Bottom line: you've worked hard for your Land Rover.
Never lend this expensive machine to Groot-Groot.
She's uninsured and a very poor risk. She drove
Demolition Derbys in Massilon, Ohio and is a
terrible driver. She drove a tow truck part time starting
at age 16, so she knew the best places to disable all
the vehicles. Her helmet number was #13. Drivers
feared her.

By refusing to clarify the rules of engagement.
By tightening the chase policy to a point where
The Policeman though lawfully justified and fully
within Department rules and regulations, is sacrificed
to the howling mob whipped up to a foamy-mouthed
frenzy by the local media...
All because:
"He tried to elude/escape The Police because he was scared..."
The city may as well lynch Policemen in front of their
flaming houses while making their families watch...
"Cuz you Cops have gotten away with not being held
accountable for soooo looong."
Just another manifestation of the revenge fantasy
against The Police playing out in the name of "Reform."
S T O P
C H A S I N G!
Police Chases are now being weighed with
heavy financial value that supersedes ANY
law enforcement, public peace, public safety
or public order concerns.
The past authority and discretion have been
DELIBERATELY stripped away from The Police.
Chase ONLY IF A POLICEMAN HAS BEEN HARMED!
Civilian casualty?
Get the plate, make, model and do the report.
PERIOD!
You -06 car, backward ball caps and adrenaline junkies
had better stop this stupid shit.

Leaving your car running unattended with the keys in it is already illegal.
Gee, Wally, you don't have to get sore.
What's your beef?
Please steal my car and wreck it. I won't even mind if you hurt or maim yourself. I'll take the insurance claim and get a new car. Win Win!
What about 496r the other night who chased a car, for a unknown traffic violation, after the sgt called it off TWICE! Different rules for different people. This is also the copper who sent the to from about gong to the fbi.... sick of this job 5 and out
Da police-they needs to do more. We hearing rumors that they laying low and want crime to happen. Oh, if that’s truth, a reckoning be comin’...
I blame the police! ~ A. NyReporter
No worse, he went to Northwestern
