- There have been no substantiated instances of biased policing from New York City police between 2014 and 2018, according to a New York City Department of Investigation report released Wednesday.
There were 2,495 recorded complaints from the public concerning claims of demographically discriminatory policing on behalf of the New York City Police Department from 2014 to the end of 2018, according to a report the Department of Investigation and NYPD’s Inspector General Philip Eure conducted, the New York Post reported.
“NYPD officials confirmed in June 2019 that the Department has never substantiated an allegation of biased policing,” the report says.
Golly. So cops actually target law breakers based on ..... breaking the law?
Interesting. Kind of like the Obama-TSSSSS-Cards, a two year study (now in it's second decade!) that has yet to prove even a single instance of racial profiling.
Did Special Ed discover this during one of his road trips? Seeing as how CPD has been stealing NYPD ideas for most of our careers after all.

I stopped filling out blue cards years ago. I stopped pulling people over shortly after that.
Obviously the solution is to pull all the excess police resources out of Englewood, Austin and Garfield Park. Put them in the low crime neighborhoods so they can drive up police interactions with the evil racist white folks. Make those Statistics work for CPD. Effective Community Policing will prevent them white folks from committing violent crime. Bust those wanna-be criminals for precursor crimes like Jaywalking and parking too far from the curb, and throw the book at them!

I remember an event I attended where the Community Liaison Officer from our city police department here in GA came to speak. One of my elderly neighbors harangued the officer because she rarely sees patrol cars in our neighborhood, except when someone here needs an ambulance (we have a lot of elderly people in our neighborhood). He told her that the police department has limited resources and must allocate those resources to places in the city where there is actual crime. In the 15 years that I have lived in this neighborhood the only crime I know of was when an elderly neighbor, who made a practice of keeping the keys to his pickup inside his unlocked truck parked in the driveway, got his truck stolen.
So perhaps “demographically based policing” is, in actuality, just allocating resources to where the crime is.

We have yet to see this Dept. implement a new procedure/form, and phase out an old one. I asked a boss why were doing the Old form and the New form paperwork. I was told "Well were just going to do it this way for a while"
Were still doing it the Old and New way. it's kind of like putting a formatted narrative into the CHRIS system. All the formatted info is in the first few pages of CHRIS I said. It's redundant/double narrative info. We were taught to never put anything into a case report twice I said. I was told, "Well, were just gonna do it this way for now".
CPD has always had a problem with change. Go to any unit, and look at overstuffed file cabinets, and boxes of paper filling closets and hallways. These are the 6 copies of case reports that are printed out in our "paperless" system. Why do we print so many extra case reports when anybody can draw one up? I said. "Well were just gonna do it that way for now" I was told.

Yeah, DUB Gov just extended the TSS permenantly. And he took away the oversight from IDOT to a new commission. It jsut never ends. Let's not allow the facts to get in the way.

OT: Whilst reading a suburban town’s police blotter, it always seems at least 95% of the driving related offenses (crashes, drunk driving, drugs, REALLY excessive speeds, etc) are from south of the border ethnicity (betting illegals) living in concentrated sanctuary areas. ALL are driving with suspended licenses. None are smart enough to behave. Why bother?
The other issues keeping our LEOs busy: auto thefts and burglaries from city community/dude inc piling in cars driving to suburbs.
Usually, only one or 2 naughty local town miscreants make the blotter.
That says it all for criminals in America! Sick of these illegals and dude inc. ruining others lives.

I have always thought that the progressive argument, at least as it related to Cook County, about driving while black and targeting minorities, was bogus, considering the large number of minorities in the county and the fact that most of the cops work in minority areas because that is where the crime is. But, progressives need to find an excuse for minorities bad anti-social behavior because. it sounds better if they blame someone else

Race baiting and bias training is big business. Causing racial division allows many to profit and make lots of $$$$$$ trying to convince cops they are bias and wrong. Even there questions are bias and geared toward making cops say we are racist when we real are not..
