Any truth to the story of a CPD ofc's house getting front windows broken out one night, and then his garage was burned down another night? Happened on the far south side, 10th ward, East Side neighborhood, 110th St area. The house in question was previously owned by a CPD K-9 ofc and his CPD wife, but they retired several years ago and moved. If true, pretty bold if CPD houses are getting attacked in the East Side/Hegewisch neighborhoods. Many cops and firemen live there.
Have things changed on the ground suddenly?
There are fewer shot, but more fatalities?.
Historically, it has been about five or six shot to every fatality.
The June and 2019 ratios on HeyJackAss! have been following the historic norms.
The last week and these last two weekends it has been about three shot to every dead body.
Has there been a change, or is this just a streak of fatally bad luck in Chicago?
We're gonna bump those numbers up this weekend. Those were rookie numbers.
Even gang bangers need to take a day off once in a while. Skilling says 90's for the weekend, so I'm sure a lot of lost (no pun intended) time will be made up.

* this is why the mayor thinks it would be better for the detectives to be in full uniform and driving marked police vehicles, this is coming down quickly they will be driving around during their tours of duty responding to calls for service and also doing their jobs as detectives this way the mayor feels they will be able to know members of the community as they will be assigned districts to patrol to get to know the constituents of the areas. Sorry guys this is a reality now this is what is going to happen the days of going to work wearing that suit jacket and sport pants are over, she also wants more accountability want you more visible so all the people and folks know who you are and where you are. The good thing is detectives keep their pay rate.
It is insane that the boss of the detective division still has their position, she is blaming the detectives which the clearance rate is very very low but yet leaves the same boss is in charge the boss should be moved or terminated along time ago, just like the superintendent of police who put this person in charge.

How many normal people decided to move this weekend because the section 8 housing next door is ruining their quality of life?
What? Were they too stoned to pick up their guns on Saturday? Or too busy sowing and spreading their bad seed? Or saving rounds for the 4th?
Maybe they were all hiding with their illegal drug buddies before the previously planned deportation? Maybe they'll hide in churches eith them the next 2 weeks and everyone gets a break.
This coming weekend counts will be low Friday and Sunday, (rain) but high Satuday (hot and sunny).
This weekend will be 35 shot and 7 kilt.

Uniformed patrol officers are usually the ones that build relationships in the field. Putting uniforms on detectives and putting them in marked cars will do nothing but create a big undoing for any other administration that may have a half brain.
If you/she in fact does something this foolish, the solve rate will be in the toilet more than it is now. They’ll never get anything done.
You will be the laughing stock of everybody, including the criminals.
Putting a uniform on somebody won’t make the scumbags like you any more.

There are coppers that know more about the who's who in some of those neighborhoods than the "stakeholders" do.
