From what I’m hearing from a reliable source, this did not go down the way it’s being alleged.
A PO gets dumped and goes to the Office angry and begins to kick the door. The D/C gets up from his desk and goes to open the door at which time the PO pushes his way thru and begins to berate and yell at the Deputy in an uncontrollable and hostile way to the point where his partner had to pull him down the hallway, (breaking free several times) and continue to approach the Deputy aggressively calling him out to a physical confrontation. The Deputy then gives him several orders to leave which the PO refuses and repeatedly gets in his face calling him names including the “B” word. Anyone that knows the Deputy, knows that he is a very quiet and mild mannered person - not confrontational at all at does not play race games.
In fact, I am a male white supervisor who has worked for him personally and has known him for decades. He is a true “Blue” policeman who looks out for the benefit of the little guy and who’s never forgotten where he came from and ALWAYS takes a minute to say hello and shake you hand. Also, just for the dumb fucks who say he was merit, (which if you simply google CPD merit promotions), you will find that EH is in fact not merit and earned his promotions and attended and graduated from reputable universities with two graduate degrees and not from the diploma mills that 75% of the department currently has. People often mistaken his quietness for ineptness and that is not the case. Let me tell you he was a beast on the street back in the day and took care of business and was the “real police” (pre SDSC and the computer police) for you millennials.
I have rarely posted anything on this or any other blog, but I can tell you this. I will not let some do nothing moron come on this blog and blast one of the few bosses on this job that still cares about coppers and looks out for them. EH is a true gentlemen and prince of a boss. If he dumped this asshole copper it was with just cause. To come on this blog to attempt to damage a mans solid reputation anonymously is pathetic and cowardly. Thank you for always being decent to us Boss and don’t worry about this fool trying to flip this on you, he’s the dumb fuck who started this. This vulgar display seems to be an outward sign that these hacks are not too comfortable in their current positions. No summer vacations, Monday accountability etc...As the screws get tightened, their pressure cooker builds up steam. As Littlefoot holds their feet to the fire, I bet we will see more of these public displays of poor behavior. Imagine being in a position WAAY over your head, and NOW being called into account for the homicides in this filthy city. Consider this a barometer of pressure on the command staff. I wouldn't be surprised if more than a few put in their papers. I was witness to a few of these during the McCarthy era where he would dress down the entire command staff in group fashion. Then shit would trickle down, some exempt would vent, and some officer would get dressed down. Circle of life...don't take it personally.

It's been all over the news the last couple days about Joe Biden's past 'working relationships' with White Democrat RACIST Senators from southern states, and that they called him 'son', instead of 'boy' like they would a Black person -- and every one of the 327 Democrats running for President raked Biden over the goddamned coals that that's not acceptable under ANY circumstance.
I'm no snowflake and have been called every name under the sun, some of them even deserved(/s). But no one ever called me 'Boy'. Not even when I was one, and that was 60 years ago.
If I was this Officer I'd file a complaint, that language just ain't acceptable. And really never was.

as derogatory and unprofessional as this sounds and is, to punchout a deputy chief over this could possibly be a career ending move. The union should get involved in this and a complaint should be filed and pressed. Unfortunately, this is the only avenue to take.Sad that the department is going downhill so fast, but this kind of treatment by our " leaders" is nothing new, not now and not in the past. In private industry you can go to the Human Resources Department and they would take action, but not in city government and certainly not in this police department. Changing this should be part of the " reform effort" by our ideologue mayor.

funny when stupidvisor was unmasked and disrobed before
his peers and supervisory subordinates.
"Find somewhere else to be," was the D/C's admonition.
"Or else" had no need to be added.
Stupidvisor was in a pout and stayed out of everybody's
way until he found somewhere else to be and subsequently
showing his ass there and was point blank told to put
himself out of everybody's misery and retire.

Sounds like this merit deputy chief didn’t de-escalate the situation like they expect their officers to do with everything. Just another hypocritical, undeserving over-promoted supervisor in CPD.
It will take decades to unfuck what Johnson did to this department.
The P.O. should’ve hit record on his body cam or cell phone and asked the asshole “what’s that I didn’t hear you”
This is one instance where I’ll have to go to bat for the boss as only half the story made it to SCC. The rest of the story goes lie this:
- PO in question gets dumped from his team
- PO has the audacity to aggressively approach the Deputy in his office, raising his voice while getting within inches of the boss, demanding to know why he was dumped
- PO told he was out of line and vacate office but persisted berating the Deputy, still within inches of him
- Deputy now wonders if he’s about to be battered and tells PO he’s about to get written up for insubordination it he persists
- PO is still animated so deputy tells him to leave and in no uncertain terms tells him he’s “about to get knocked the fuck out” if he doesn’t back out of Deputy’s personal space
-PO was the one to drop the “whatcha gonna do Boy”, NOT the Deputy
Disclaimer: I don’t work for the Deputy or even in 005, was there on unrelated matter and had the misfortune of witnessing this while returning from the back bathroom. PO was 100% in the wrong. I was asked by 005 supervisors for my info (kinda HAVE to provide that when asked) so discipline can be started. They wanted a to from at that moment but I was on something else so they’ve reached out to me to put my observations on paper. PO is gonna get it jammed deep, but he was the aggressor for the get go and i’m surprised the deputy let it go as far as he did without knocking this dude’s teeth down the back of his throat. PO was WAYYYY out of line and honestly deserves to be made an example of. From the looks of him and how he acted he fits the no time OTJ entitlement mold. Sad to see how these newer guys think they can act towards supervisors like they have no fear of repercussions. This dude may think it’s over but I suspect something is coming down the pike for him. Stay tuned.

I hope the monitor is reading this post. This exemplifies what is truly wrong with our department. Making sure that a certain fraternity has more members promoted than the other fraternity. Unqualified are promoted by more unqualified. This is what you get. A sinking ship that the rats will bail out of soon.

Sadly....The consent decree and court appointed monitor will never delve into merit promotions.. And that's exactly what has made this department a running joke...Clout will live on and the PO's just trying to do their job will suffer. Some day in contract negotiations I would like to see merit promotions put to an end. If anyone cant display the necessary qualifications and knowledge on a test, why do we promote them? We all know it's because of who they know, and not what. Period. It's simple really. That's why CPD brass will never get it. 30 years of triple merit on a top heavy department has made us a joke. I have no hope that our current leadership will change anything.

Just goes to show there’s almost always two sides to the story.
EH wanted to join the Al Bundy Society.
He finally was accepted, paid his dues,
and inside a crushed velvet clamshell was given
a badge with the number 55 on it. EH immediately
balked! He said "that looks too small for me. can
you do something about that?" The guys demanded
