- Four people were killed and 12 wounded in shootings on Friday across Chicago, including a pregnant woman who was among four people shot in Parkway Gardens on the South Side.
Just after 3 a.m., someone walked up the back alley stairs of a building in the 6300 block of South King Drive and fired shots into an apartment, according to Chicago police.
Obviously, another crime of poverty. We know this because Lightgroot said so.

These so-called "take over" robberies are a staple of South and Central America ghettos. There are videos all over YouTube. We're thinking the robbers aren't paying attention to the "No Gun" signs posted all over the bars - if they did, there wouldn't be robberies....right?

If these murders are in fact, "crimes of poverty", then CPD has ZERO to do with them.
The department isn't responsible for these people being poor. Maybe the Department of Revenue should be handing out money or something. It's DoR's fault! They're not handing out any money!

Not only are the shootings costing the taxpayers but consider what Lightfoot reiterated on Friday:
"Mayor Lori Lightfoot announced Friday that the Chicago Police Department would not cooperate with planned raids by the federal Immigration and Customs Enforcement agency this weekend.
"We are all aware of the threat from President Trump regarding raids by ICE, and in response, Chicago has taken concrete steps to support our immigrant communities," Lightfoot said in a statement.
City officials estimate that there are tens of thousands of undocumented immigrants living in Chicago, protected by sanctuary laws. The deportation order is now being delayed for two weeks as a courtesy to the Democrats. I wish a reporter would challenge Lightfoot & Pritzker and ask them why the taxpayers have to support these illegal invaders. How do they benefit the citizens who who are picking up the tab. We know how they benefit Lightfoot & Pritzker.

Again I know many South Americans and this is what I’ve seen with my own eyes it seems they like to mimic the Asian and Jewish communities in that education is a big priority and they don’t have time for gangs and ghetto related crap....Yes yes yes I understand there’s good and bad in every society in every group and every nationality but like I said when I hear about a gang related mass shooting I don’t think about Jewish, Asians or South Americans as the offenders.

scc, I realize that there are limited number of officers who transport juveniles to the audy home at 1100 s Hamilton. However if one has ever been exposed to juvenile intake would surely question the narrative that is instilled in young minds as their first step into criminal justice system. Victimization. Racial diversion. Instilled slavery on full display. Not one mention of John f. Kennedy or Robert who promoted civil rights in the 60's. However they are white. If the tables are to be turned the city would burn. I implore any investigative body to examine and determine what is appropriate at an intake facility in a democratic society based on the equal scales of justice. Look into it scc it will blow your mind...and yes there is video evidence.

Tavern takeover robberies are relatively rare. This isn't the first time this one was hit. Interesting.

Wow, whoever commented on juveniles sure sounds like a racist.
Easily forgotten is the fact that those sent to the Audy Home are prisoners that have committed serious and often very violent offenses. These prisoners were caught and went through a process that for most part releases most juveniles after a process that only 'detains' the worst. Race doesn't matter once they enter the court system. The subtle "they are picking on me because I'm black' attitude ignores bleeding victims, smoking guns in their hands, and the amount of illegal drugs in their possession.
These juveniles are in the custody and control of system that forces them to line up, keep quiet and they hear don't do that, go over there, stop fighting - for near the first time in their lives. Rules are explained and enforced, rules that apply to all 'prisoners' and this in their hateful minds becomes 'victimization', 'racial', and 'slavery'.
The U.S. Military could probably do something with these

What’s sad is that Light-brain is going to have her “accountability Monday” (if she’s not out of town) with the wrong people. I read all of the news accounts of these shootings and NOT ONE OF THEM could have been prevented by police - even if an officer had been standing on the corner.
How is it that the police are “accountable” for criminal activity? Is a doctor responsible for their patient eating themselves into a heart attack? Is the plumber responsible for your clogged drain? Is the mechanic responsible when you don’t change your car’s oil frequently enough?
About the only thing she can “pin” on the police is that they don’t solve murder cases very often, but even that is more the responsibility of “the community”. She (and other race-baiters) claim that “the community” doesn’t cooperate with detectives because they’re afraid of the police - what horse shit! It’s NOT the police they’re afraid of, it’s the criminals,
They know that even if they identify the murderer, that person will be out on bail in less than 24 hours - probably less than 4 hours - and will be pounding the pavement looking for whoever ratted them out. The police can’t do anything to protect the witness - the perp is legitimately out on bail - and if they did, they’d be accused of “racism” or “harassment”. So, the police have to wait until the murderer kills the witness, THEN they start the whole process over - find a witness, arrest the perp and watch as some social justice judge or prosecutor cuts them loose again.
Lather, rinse, repeat....
At this point, with the State’s Attorney and the judges doing everything they can to NOT incarcerate members of “the community”, there is nothing that can be done to help improve Chicago’s appalling homicide clearance rate. Putting more detectives on the street won’t help - they’ll just hear more repetitions of “I din see nuttin”. And even they do get a witness, or video images or maybe CSI pulls a miracle out of their test tubes and they manage to arrest someone, the perp will be out on the street - on bail or just not prosecuted - before the paperwork is done.
Light-brain should call in the “activists”, “community organizers” and sundry rabble-rousers from “the community” and have “accountability Monday” with them. It won’t make a bit of difference - they’re all dependent on crime and poverty to keep themselves employed - but at least she’d be meeting with people who are at least partly responsible for the shootings.

On Sunday, 16 June 1974, Officer Robert J. Strugala #10236 and Officer John Wasco, both of the 10th District, were on patrol working the wagon. The Officers on-viewed a takeover robbery when they heard gunshots coming from a tavern located at 26th & Kedzie. Both Officers accessed the tavern using a different entrance door than the other and engaged the offenders. Officer Strugala was shot and killed. His partner, Officer John Wasco was also wounded having been shot multiple times. Officer Strugala succumbed to his injury. Officer Wasco was seriously wounded, but ultimately survived.
Reading about the most recent tavern takeover robbery, I found myself remembering these two heroes, Officers Strugala and Wasco, and I thought to remind others of their dedication, service and sacrifice. Lest we forget.

She was so pissed off, she became a lawyer so she could punish those that cheated her out of her childhood dream.

Funny but wrong. Have you seen the tiny cops that have been coming out of the academy over the last few years? Many smaller than Lightfoot. Owner of a uniform supply store said they’ve had a difficult time trying to make uniforms for these little people. Good luck Chicago.
Not a cop, but I saw on the news that multiple aldermen, emboldened by Lori's "we wont assist ICE in these raids" statement, were telling their "constituents" that; they are not required to open the door for ICE agents unless there is a valid arrest warrant, they are not required to make any statements unless they are represented by legal counsel, etc., etc., etc.
Now, if I understand the purpose of these Federally ordered raids, the "targets" have already found to be in violation and subject to deportation, so I assume that there are actual warrants!
Furthermore, the constitutional rights being reiterated to the "constituents" by these aldermen are constitutional rights guaranteed to U.S. citizens.... right?
Do illegal aliens have the same protection of the constitution? Seriously, I want to know!
in the early 70s i worked in the indiana steel mills. there were taverns right outside the mills that would cash checks. even back then construction workers working 6-7 days a week could clear 1000.00-2000.00 a week. taverns had food and a little gaming. the payroll had to be 200,000.00- 300,000.00 in cash on a friday nite in a little corner joint. being indiana all the bar workers were heavily strapped up including shotguns. i was there when several shitheads walked in doing a take over with shotguns. when the smoke cleared they were all shot kilted. i think one employee got killed too. sent an unmistakeable message to the community about who could be robbed. never happened again. we need the good guys to have more guns than the bad guys. strength in numbers indeed. dont think that will ever happen here. pity. mill gate inn, right outside youngstown sheet and tube southeast of amoco refinery about 73-74.

All I’m saying is if you look at countries in South America like Argentina,Uruguay, Chile, and others you will see a vast improvement of standard of living, a vast improvement of educational attainment, and a vast improvement on the corruption index from the government, Big modern cities with skyline comparisons to our Chicago skyline with modern infrastructure modern molds of public transportation I have been there many times and trust me I’m struck in awe how these countries have improved a lot in the past 20-30 years. If you look at the per capita GDP of these countries they are topping European countries such as Bulgaria and Romania and that includes the corruption levels ;yes I’m saying South American countries are gaining a level of a decent standard and f living where the “need” to emigrate is not a motivator anymore. I am saying you cannot compare Central American countries infested with poverty stricken, gang infested, corruption to no end from the government, eighth grade education attainment level at best from the average person compared to South American countries. Yes, Venezuela once the envy of many South American countries is in a bad situation right because of that commie Maduro but those people that do get out of Venezuela emigrate to other South American countries all I’m saying is that the people that come here crossing our land borders are poor uneducated people mostly from Mexico and Central America not South America and a few South America that to come here illegally they never cross the land borders they come by plane and overstayed their visa like many of the Polish, Ukrainian, other eastern European people that mostly are not involved in gangs and mostly never take any government handouts, yes they overstayed their visas and must be kicked out but we have to concentrate on kicking out people crossing from our land borders 1st

In Brazil as in Chicago it’s isolated in the favelas (think of the west and south side and they hardly ever leave from there). And then Venezuela since maduro took over the commie transform a once envied, high GDP, modern country into a hellhole. In Venezuela the few people that do emigrate to the states are similar to the people that left Cuba in 1959: educated, people with money, high business acumen that are NOT going to be waiting outside of home depots doors to offer themselves putting up drywall at $15 an hour. These people overstay their visitor visas and SHOULD be deported but we have concentrate on people crossing over our borders first.

anyone who is on US soil is guaranteed some protections under out constitution. And, yes, you or an illegal does not have to open their doors to anyone. If law enforcement has a search warrant then they can force their way in, or exigent circumstances. That applies to everyone
