- Major organizational change taking place on Monday. Effective 01 July, all sworn members of the Inspection Division will report directly to Lemmer. Cornelia Lott is flipping her wig.
Can you imagine how pleasant life is going to become for the working copper when Lemmer starts dictating the “directed missions” of the Inspectors and they will now be at his beck and call to ensure “accountability”?
Lemmer, an unpleasant human being on his best day, has ruined every unit he has ever been in. PAR forms fly like dry leaves in a forest fire wherever he appears. And it isn't because he expects people to follow the rules - it's because he's an arrogant asswipe.

OT: Just heard a good one. Seems as though Ray Ray Casiano may throw his hat in the ring for the next FOP election. Why? Because he’d make a good president? Because he’s qualified? Nope. In his words, “Because it’s time for the first Puerto Rican president to head the union.”
Really? I guess this lunkhead hopes we all forget he was nothing more than Dean Angelo’s bitch when he was the FOP 1st VP for three-years. He didn’t do anything for FOP members then and will likely do even less for them if he can somehow weasel his way into the top spot. He, along with Angelo and Tom McDonagh, welcomed the DOJ into our Lodge to speak to our members which was the groundwork for the current consent decree that has been imposed on us. He, along with Angelo and McDonagh, negotiated a contract that gave away healthcare benefits, duty availability pay, tuition reimbursement benefits and more. Thankfully, he lost his re-election bid to the current VP Pat Murray and even placed behind Rich Aguilar who was the most qualified candidate of the three.
Let’s see. My choices in the next election might be Casiano, Catanzara, Graham, McDonagh, or Shields. I hate to say it, but I might be forced to go with Graham in this one. Casiano is completely incompetent. Catanzara and Shields might be vocal, but both are inexperienced, arrogant nut jobs. McDonagh is incompetent and has the work ethic of a sloth.
As the title says, we need a leader. Aguilar? Prieb? Either one of you care to step up? We need a leader.

Oh man, this is bad, really bad. Having worked for Lemmer he is going to be GPS’ing the inspectors to ensure they are out in the district all the time. Expect write ups to sky rocket and expect no inspectors to stand up to him and say or do anything to back up the working coppers. Can’t lose that precious spot.

How about someone in the upper echelon deal with the problems we encounter daily across this department dealing with mental arrestees. Why can’t we just bring them straight to Cermak or something. The whole thing of dealing with any arrestee l, let alone a mental that needs hospitalization needs to be fixed. But instead they’ll focus on us not loggin on our computer within 5 minutes after roll call.

a Good Lemmer story, a P.O.came into see Lemmer with safety concerns regarding a wagon in 023. The PO stated the brakes were bad and needed to down it for r service. Lemmer refused and decided to go out in the wagon himself for a test drive and show the P.O. “how to drive the wagon”. As Lemmer was “teaching” this P.O. the ropes of Police work in the wagon , the P.O. stated that Lemmer attempted to make advancements towards her and she then jumped out of the wagon. Don’t really know what exactly happened inside that wagon but the P.O. had enough of his shit and got out out !
Guys Lori Lightfoot calls him all the time, HE is the cause of her horrible statements. He always tells people the cops don’t work.

Well actually the inspectors will only be on the street for a total of 2 hours per tour if Lemmy is in charge of them. You see, each tour of theirs will begin with having to listen to 2.5 hours of his WAR stories about him being a foot guy in 009. Immediately after that, each inspector will then be forced to watch Police Videos where Lemmy will criticize the actions of each officer in each situation. The inspectors will then be permitted to “hit the streets” but only for 2 hours. This will occur because after finding officer infractions they will have to come back to 35th Street and learn how to complete the “Falsified Non Existent Forms” that Lemmy likes to CREATE. You see, back in the day when Lemmy was in Research and Development, he tried to creat Orders and Forms that were in direct violation of Civilian and Member Contracts so he was forbidden from creating any new Forms or Policies. This drive him nuts, so crazy that he actually took Orders and added one word so he could write “Revised” and attach his name to them.
From this, he swore one day he would be the one to create the forms for discipline that HE thought were appropriate for each individual situation. Being a computer genius, he merely CUTS and Pastes and a “FORM” is created. He will then order the people below him to have the EMPLOYEE sign the form.
Inspectors be aware: You are held legally responsible for your actions and any punishment that is not within the legal guidelines of EACH contract. Lemmy will have you start by making accusations regarding officers actions even if they are false or completely within Department Guidelines all in an effort to create a hostile work environment and for the creation of TONS of Paperwork. Example:
Officer was at assigned job too long. Officer resolved situation, no complaints, all policies followed. The accusation alone will go nowhere But.....NOT until lots of District personal create LOTS of paper and that PAPER is all forwarded upwards to the Grand Master himself only to justify his existence and his drainage of the officer Pension Fund.

I remember I called the Fop one time with a question about regarding whether or not you got those extra vacation day hours when taking one part of your furlough before you hit at 14 or 15 years and the other segment after your 15 year anniversary. This goof couldn’t answer the question and his response was just look at the contract and see what it says. I kept repeating to him it didn’t specify and all he did was try and change the topic and ask how Good of a job I thought he was doing in the Fop. Most officers and supervisors create there own problems with psychs in the hospital. First, if possible, print and photograph the arrestee so an ET won't have to be called later. Next, keep your arrestee secure. Hands cuffed behind the back and shackles, if needed. There have been several escape attempts recently and batteries to officers not taking this seriously. Security before comfort. If the arrestee can't be bonded, get going with the mittimus paperwork. Don't just assume the hospital is going to wave a magic wand over someone threatening suicide and release them. Lastly, YOU CANNOT TAKE SOMEONE DIRECTLY TO CERMAK! There must be a mittimus and then the hospital calls Cermak to arrange a transfer to an accepting doctor at Cermak. Good luck and stay safe.

That’s it, elect a guy whose beaten multiple police board cases. That seems like a pretty unreasonable thing to do in this climate. I don’t expect to find a person as polished as a Fortune 500 CEO within our ranks, but we don’t have anyone that has a backbone and can work a microphone? I’d prefer someone that can disagree politely and explain why, not someone like Shields or Catanzara who are looking to throw gas on the fire.

I posted last week that the Inspectors ranks were expected to increase dramatically WELL it’s going to be even worse. Lemmer convinced the Mayor each radio zone should have an Inspector overseeing it. The goal is to increase suspension time 3 fold.

NCIC requires a signature on file to put an adult missing person into NCIC. It is being worked on for the next generation case reporting system. AIRA doesnt not have the ability to collect digital signatures. This is the same reason why at first auto theft reports were not in AIRA. Signatures were initially required for that as well. Hopefully it will get resolved. The reason patrol supps and Recovered vehicle supps are not automated is routing complexity. Hopefully that will be resolved in the future as well.

Hate to throw rain on your parade but when Ray was 1st Vice President I needed some advice from the FOP. Didn’t know anyone and was directed to Ray. He went out of his way to help me and continued to monitor the case. Actually went further than that and stayed involved until it was resolved. That was my experience with him

Maybe you prefer the lowkey approach and that's your choice but it has only weaken the FOP brick by brick. Rumor at PSHQ is that Lemmer is "informing" Groot of all the doings on CPD, including inside shit that sometimes shouldn't be discussed. He's also running side by side with that civilian Reform guy Sabih Khan, who is friends with Claussen and they are both looking at for top spots, hence their "kissing" Groot ass and seriously going back and informing her of who farts and when, it's not looking good folks, infor from the 5th floor.

That's all well and good, but many P.O.s will not arrest a mental. I have, and I always get problems from supervisors, who say," you can't lock up a mental". I think doing the paperwork and then transporting to a hospital is a good thing. I have had situations where a supervisor told me to talk the mental to a hospital, do a report, advise warrants. This was for a misdemeanor.

OT: Just heard a good one. Seems as though Ray Ray Casiano may throw his hat in the ring for the next FOP election. Why? Because he’d make a good president? Because he’s qualified? Nope. In his words, “Because it’s time for the first Puerto Rican president to head the union.”
Hate to throw rain on your parade but when Ray was 1st Vice President I needed some advice from the FOP. Didn’t know anyone and was directed to Ray. He went out of his way to help me and continued to monitor the case. Actually went further than that and stayed involved until it was resolved. That was my experience with him

You are nuts if you think Ray would make a good president. He is in totally over his head here is a question to ask. When was the last time he was in a beat car? Exactly. He is disconnected from the working beat guys. He is not a very smart man. Anyone can pick up a phone and call MLAS or an attorney and ask a question. Its about actually caring about the membership. He is self serving. Trust me. And if that comment is true enough said it's not about race it's about the best person for the job.
Sad. I thought for sure those rumors that Groot was considering Lemmer for superintendent were just bullshit.

Lori lightfoot has agreed with Lemmer , one inspector per radio zone 24/7 .
Problem is , new inspectors will not be sworn , they will be new civilian hires , receive 2 weeks of training at police headquarters by lemmer and staff on grooming , uniform standards , roll calls , use of PDT , GPS and will write of units that do not follow general orders , rules and regulation . Yes , they will also write up exempts , issue parking citations for city vehicle , tinted windows and license violations . Look out , will be worse than copa.
