No Trust

  • The union representing Chicago police officers wants a special prosecutor to replace Cook County State’s Attorney Kim Foxx in any case where a cop is the victim of a crime or has been accused of misconduct.

Citing a “deep mistrust” of Foxx’s office in a letter dated Monday, the Fraternal Order of Police leaders note that special prosecutors have been appointed to replace Foxx in two recent cases — an apparent reference to a judge’s order appointing a special prosecutor to re-investigate the criminal case against “Empire” actor Jussie Smollett and Foxx’s decision to recuse herself from the prosecution of activist Jedidiah Brown after officer filed a petition claiming Brown battered them at a demonstration.

“A deep mistrust now exists between your office and ours. We no longer believe that your office will treat our members fairly either in the arrests they make or when they are victims of crimes,” reads the letter, signed by FOP President Kevin Graham, Vice Presidents Pat Murray and Martin Preib, and Legal Defense Co-Chair Robert Bartlett.

“We are therefore demanding that all cases in which our members are the victims of crimes or accused of misconduct be turned over to a special prosecutor. This is the only way we can guarantee fair treatment to our members.”
The truly amusing part about the entire article is seeing Special Ed twist and turn and contort himself into shapes we wouldn't believe could be achieved by a human being with an actual spine:
  • In a statement, Johnson noted that he attended a national meeting with Foxx last week and that police officers and prosecutors work “side by side.” He said the state’s attorney “has (been) and will continue to be a formidable partner to CPD and our efforts to combat violence throughout Chicago.”
Because we recall statements just last month pointing out that numerous convicted felons, some with previous firearm offenses in their histories, we released long before the street sweepers had finished cleaning up the blood and gore from the Memorial Day weekend, statements uttered by Special Ed, naming Crimesha's office as failing to prosecute these cases.

What changed Ed? Who told you to start kissing Foxxx's ass?

Real prosecutors are a dying breed.

Nationally, the mistrust between police and prosecutors will not only continue, it will get worse as prosecutors' offices become rat's nests of SJWs:

Didn't the Smollett evidence contain communications from Foxx denigrating the detectives assigned to the case and police officers, in general?

That is proof enough she cannot be trusted to act in an unbiased manner.

That’s because Special Ed is a puppet. And puppets don’t have spines, SCC.

Twists, turns and contortions occur when more than one puppet master manipulates strings simultaneously.

OT -

"there is no solution to the woefully underfunded pensions, in Chicago and in Illinois, that does not involve benefit cuts subsequent to a 2020 constitutional amendment or municipal bankruptcy. And the sooner Pritzker and Lightfoot figure that out, the better off we'll all be."

https://www.forbes.com/sites/ebauer/2019/07/02/whew-illinois-is-probably-not-going-to-bail-out-chicagos-pensions/#5694cfcf22a6

And that in a nutshell is the problem. And the TPTB will never let Chicago file for bankruptcy. That would mean that a bankruptcy trustee would not only have the sole authority to approve any spending decision (completely neutering the mayor and the aldermen), it would also mean the bankruptcy trustee would have full authority to dig into any financial transaction, present or past. Gee, you think they might find some shenanigans?

I am so done with this city.

I’m sure Crooked County will say it ain’t true, but will tell a tale that costs for special prosecutors make it not feasible due to current budget constraints. CookCo definitely needs a consent decree to keep it legitimate on many levels from budget to jurist.

Still need an FOP No Confidence vote for SpecialEd for his bias, marching, pandering and his full support of cabrini cousin Kimmmm. At least this letter made it into the media for once. Yes, and they quickly realized why the clearance rate is what it is, and it had little to do with the detective division. The procedures with felony review had their mouths on the floor. The ISP forensics lab is national laughing stock. Two weeks for DNA compared to our two years, hours for fingerprints compared to a year for us. Our own forensics services are completely undertrained and are given bottom of the barrel equipment. It is set up for failure, city doesn’t want people actually going to jail. McCarthy, who loves himself some NYPD, even stated how much harder our detectives had to work compared to his old department.

CPS is the NUMBER ONE reason for Chicago’s financial problems! Their enrollment continues to plummet but the budget stays the same. Teachers continue to ask for outrageous benefits or threaten to strike if they don’t get their way. They’re very “mob-like” Lightfoot is going to have to do something about the terrible teachers union or Chicago will crumble. If they strike maybe it’s time to order them back to work or fire them all. Offer the ones that come back and any new teachers, a good fair deal and start from scratch. Otherwise the problem will never be solved.

LOL!!! You actually think any of the people you're talking about own a home? And on the very, very slim chance they do, homeowners insurance won't cover crimes, and you can't hold the parent accountable unless you can prove they knew it was going to happen and were in a position to prevent it. Even then it's iffy.

Speaking of TRUST -

Once again the decision was made to put Detectives in uniform for the holiday weekend. By doing so, victims don’t TRUST that they’re really Detectives.

Add to that the SVU and RBT Detectives were given Nissan Sentras with no emergency lights/sirens and fitted with temp tags. In uniform driving civilian vehicles will make nobody TRUST that they’re really the police.

Get ready for the influx of police impersonator calls.

Any physical force the police use against resistors or assailants, automatically result in a lawsuit filed against the officer and the department. Why don't officers make it a habit to sue the assailants, or countersue? If an offender, or a juvenile's family own a home, they have a home owner's policy. Start using when injured and countersue when you're forced to defend yourself. This may be what's needed to slow these violent offenders down, since we have no support from the politicians or the Brass. FOP can have an attorney ready and waiting.

7/03/2019 01:38:00 AM
-----------------------------------
Counter-sue? The "community" that might attack you lives in section 8, drive cars with liens gone repo or somebody 's elses car or stolen, and have 0 assets except new tennis shoes, weaves and hot/straw firearms . Insurance ? LOL The only person needs insurance is you, "uninsured motorist" for when one hits you off duty. Because they don't have car insurance either for their repo-ed, borrowed, stolen cars.

Suing poor "people" will only cost you money.

The Los Angeles Police Department took a revolutionary leap in 2010 when it became one of the first to employ data technology and information about past crimes to predict future unlawful activity. Other departments around the nation soon adopted predictive policing techniques.

But the widely hailed tool the LAPD helped create has come under fire in the last 18 months, with numerous departments dumping the software because it did not help them reduce crime and essentially provided information already being gathered by officers patrolling the streets.

Former president "Sparkle-farts" was addressing an economic summit in San Paulo, Brazil this week and quoted the U.S. Constitution as "We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal" he further went on to proclaim that at the time the Constitution was written that not only were blacks excluded, but women were excluded, and people who didn’t own property were excluded.

Ok, Sparkle-Farts. Apparently you never passed a civics course in high school. The Constitution doesn't state that. The Declaration of Independence does however.

Oh hell, what should I expect from our first foreign-born president?

Anonymous CPD Homicide (retired) said...

In early October, homicide victims Moscowitz and Watts were separately murdered by pistol gunshot in East Rogers Park by an unidentified M/1 who, per residential cameras, walks like a duck. Dep. Supt. Riccio implied that the shooter lived nearby in Rogers Park. Wrong, sir. The CTA Blue and Green Line connect to the N/B Red Line. No motor vehicle needed.

Now we just learn that two more homicide victims with ballistically matching recovered cartridge casings from Rogers Park were recovered at recent respective homicide scenes in the West Side's 11th District. Aside from the rational belief that we have at least one unknown serial killer on the lam, can anyone provide additional information on this case, particularly the most recent locations and circumstances of the West Side homicides?

Any leads, witnesses, camera photos, attempted robbery or rape and/or suspected unknown motive(s) other than psychopathia in which he certainly enjoys murdering strangers. Serial killers commonly murder prostitutes and heroin addicts. Unlike Rogers Park, if his West Side victims were black, this may safely rule out racial hatred. Consider him extremely dangerous and unless he's apprehended, the murders will continue at unpredictable times and locations.

Though retired, I would border on orgasmic to interrogate this monster in the box at the area. It's the most fun I could have with my clothes on. Based on previous interrogations, I'm confident that this "old school" dick would have this muthafucka 'fess up to at least four homicides.

I have never had an "excessive force" beef. However, considering my college psychology major, some "progressives" might consider me psychologically "brutal" despite the fact that my methods would pass muster with SCOTUS.

A puppet by day and at night has to listen to his main squeeze yapping in a high pitched self entitled squeal about another well deserved promotion. Integrity, ethics and personal responsibility are words foreign to Eddie, Whezzie and the rest of the clouted. They are really no different than the gibs dat to meh crowd in da ghetto.

Then I read this paragraph on the People of Alabama fb page and I have to wonder where are all the people of color like this are in Chicago. I suppose those that could moved. "My parents probably finished sixth or seventh grade. That was better than most of so many people in that time. We went to church and school, those were the things that were emphasized in our lives. We had a country family who was taught right from wrong. I came up in a happy big family. We were extremely poor, but we learned to use what we had. After I finished the eighth grade, I got a job and I had a job until I retired. I went through high school working and I worked while I was in college. After I got out of college, I stayed with the same job until I retired.” Alberta Hope Scott, a preacher's kid and a retired math teacher from Greensboro, Alabama. This kind of honesty and work ethic is a vast contrast from Eddie, Wheezie and all the rest of the clowns running the show.

It took FOP too long to send out this letter!
Too much time lost, too many cases have been swept under the rug!

The FOP administration followed the command staff recommendation to stand by and let States Attorney
Get control of this situation. Well anyone see any difference in the waiting this long?
The States Attorney office is not prosecuting cases?

The rank and file members are being told to stand by while criminal cases are being dismissed or lost in court!

The FOP needs to have a no confidence vote?
The FOP needs to pull FOIA reports of criminal cases being dismissed or lost by States Attorneys office!
Then a no confidence protest at HQ or States Attorneys office?
Show the amount of cases being effected by these lack of concern!

You lead, you follow or you get out of the way.....

Remember the protest over Jodi Weiss? Great video sound bite and he was gone soon!

Remember the first 13 colonies took control of a new country,
Let’s take control of the county and cities crime in courts?

Happy Independence Day

Not too many pols are going against the CookCo machine and LightLoafer isn’t putting the system down either.

When the 21st Century Task Force model came out, Pillar 1 was all about trust and legitimacy, something SpecialEd is still stuck on and hasn’t budged since his ad hoc community pandering appointment.

We only arrest and those arrests and investigative efforts are ignored and demeaned wholeheartedly.

Absolutely correct! What's happening here with reduced and dropped charges is happening in big cities across the country, in every court system with the prosecutor's chief attorney's campaigns being funded by foreign born George Soros. Talk about foreign collusion. A few months back, the son of an Illinois State senator, charged with sexual assault, was given a $100,000.00
I-bond, only to be arrested for the same thing a few months later, this time with 2 victims. Who the fuck ever heard of a 100,000 I bond?

So it turns out Kim Foxx doesn't think CPD is SOLELY to blame for the problems plaguing many Chicago neighborhoods. Blame also lies with her own ASAs... in an office-wide email today Foxx thanked her staff for their work on the marijuana legislation and told the troops that "as prosecutors, it is vital that we own our role in the harm we've caused, especially for communities of color who have long been disproportionately impacted by low-level cannabis convictions and the failed war on drugs."

So, there you have it. The County's chief law enforcement officer once again shifts the blame away from the criminals who broke the law to those who took an oath to uphold the law.

Here's an idea for a compromise: police officers and ASAs should all agree to hug a defendant and apologize the next time they see them in court or arrest them (to "own up" to the "harm" they caused by arresting or prosecuting them) IF AND WHEN Kim Foxx agrees to apologize to the police officers, ASAs, judges, and citizens of Cook County for the harm she unquestionably has caused them by destroying the State's Attorney's Office with her ineptitude and for her own personal political ambitions. And, if she goes one step further and "owns up" to her responsibility in the Smollett disaster (before the special prosecutor busts her and before she runs out of employees to throw under the bus), then they should all buy a defendant an ice cream cone. With sprinkles.
