According to the only trustworthy stats in Chicago, Homicide #300 was dragged across the finish line in, of all places, 011:
- Two men were killed and at least 10 people have been wounded since Friday night in city violence including a man and a woman who were stabbed when a 5-year-old boy was shot on the city’s South Side, Chicago police said.
In the possibly domestic-related incident involving the 5-year-old, two people were taken into police custody after a suspected brawl started in a hallway of an Englewood building in the 6700 block of South Parnell Avenue about 7:20 p.m. Friday. At one point, the boy was shot in the thigh and two adults were both stabbed.
The most recent homicide happened shortly before 2:30 a.m Saturday in the 4600 block of West Monroe Street in the West Garfield Park neighborhood, where a 23-year-old man was fatally shot and a 28-year-old man wounded.
Another gruesome milestone in a District infamous for gruesome milestones. They're leading the city this year, too.

In 2019, 011 also leads the CPD's districts in total Part I violent crimes, shooting incidents, motor vehicle theft and total Part I index crimes. It's the only district in Chicago that has more violent crimes than property crimes.
A 5 yr old shot? While adults are stabbing each other? Sounds like the early history of another Yummy Sandifer, typical ghetto nonsense in Chiraq.

We never locked the doors. We never disrepected an adult because we knew Dad would supply one hell of a smack if we even thought about it, and Dad lived in the same house as Mom, and they respected each other.
We respected and feared the police because thats what we were taught. We respected and feared the teachers because that what we were taught.We knew that if either the police or a teacher had to meet with Mom & Dad we were in for it big time. The police and the teachers were more often than not, funny and kind. Back then the police and the teachers were not expected to raise anyone's children but their own. Back then if you had children, you were expected to raise them on your own dime.
The 2nd saddest part of all that has been lost over the years is that the majority of the people alive today in the US have no concept of how good things use to be. All the political correctness BS has led us stright into the toilet.
The 1st saddest part is that it's not really all that long ago.

Dayton and El Paso each had a mass shooting this weekend big news all day Sunday on all the news shows. Not one word about the 24 mass shootings (4 or more shot in one incident)this year alone in Chicago add that to the 40 three baggers. So 64 times the police have had to cope with the aftermath of the gang related carnage. Difference in the Oh and Tx shooting is they were gang motivated and involved innocent bystanders, in Chicago the mass shootings are very targeted. The other difference is that in both the Oh and Tx incidents the shooters are either dead or in custody. In Chicago with its 9% homicide clearance rate I am not sure if there has been even one arrest in the 64 multiple victim shootings. At least Texas shooter will be executed , yes Virginia Texas has the death penalty and they use it. Good lesson for Illinois, hay Fatso are you paying attention?
AND anybody know how many of the 300 homicide have been.... SOLVED.

The 11th District in the 1700’s?! What what. My family had a homestead in ye olde aforementioned 11th District. Indeed sir the ground and aire was soiled with thee most rank smell. In the winters we would dig up peat to use as tinder to keep the fireplace going throughout the cold night. Oh what a foul fume and most treacherous place. Any occasional traveler or bison who would stray from the herd in the 11th District would be set upon by the local savages and cleave them. I would protect myself and my 14-year old bride from the 11th District savage with a ball musket but I must say I preferred the trusty bow and arrow. Now in these times the area is just as nefarious and these young constables in the area use a six-shooter and travel around in a mechanized buggy called an “SUV” or bicycle. Fancy that!

Not that I am a fan of the XO, but why blame him? He is relatively new in that position, while Jimmy has been there 3 years on behalf of his pal the chief. He must be really smart. The buck has to stop somewhere.
