Guns in Cars?
- Two males were taken into custody in connection with a crash involving a stolen Audi with weapons inside and a Chicago police vehicle Friday night in the South Chicago neighborhood, officials said.
About 11 p.m., the police squad car was heading west on 81st Street near South Jeffery Boulevard when the male driver of an Audi traveling east swerved into the wrong lane and struck the police car, according to Chicago police.
The Audi was reported stolen prior to the crash, and multiple weapons were found inside the car. Officers arrested two males in connection to the crash, police said.
Two male officers inside the police car were hospitalized in good condition, police said.
Nice arrests there - the Public Defender is very angry about this one. It's not like they were firing the guns. Like these:
- A police pursuit started Friday night after cops saw a man firing at a group in the River North neighborhood and continued onto the Eisenhower Expressway before the chase was terminated, Chicago police said.
About 2:40 a.m., an officer observed a man firing at a group in the 700 block of North Franklin Street before he fled in a black Chevrolet Impala. A police pursuit ensued onto I-290 but was stopped at Jackson Boulevard and Loomis Street, police said.
Later, the Impala was found unoccupied in the Logan Square neighborhood in the 2800 block of North Sawyer Avenue, police said.
No guns left in that car though.

The best part about the River North pursuit is it started as a 10-1 , shots fired at the police . Two 018th District supervisors initiate the pursuit , and the goof who is promoted way above his means , known as 199R, terminates them. No 001st District units involved , none of the chase entered the 001st District , and this idiot decides to step all over everyone and terminate it .....for shots fired at the police! The incompetency just keeps rolling out. Maybe he should’ve been more worried about all the dogasses on his watch dodging calls in the backlog all nite under his supervision , and leave the police work to the units north of the river. 001 is a complete joke

Every facet of the jewel we consider our creator's design is a two edged blade.
You have just described one of those two edged facets.
One edge = we are all god's created creatures and we of human form, are all potentially worthy of redemptive return to purity.

Progressives believe that if they just pretend long enough, their social justice fantasies will come true. If we just pretend that the gangsters in “the community” are good people “in their hearts” and only need a little kindness and forbearance for it to blossom, then - some day (probably not in this century) - they will put down their guns and become peaceful, productive members of society.
However, decades (if not millennia) of experience teaches us otherwise. The gangsters won’t change until the pain of doing what they’re doing exceeds the pain of REALLY “turning their life around”. And even then, they will ALWAYS be just a heartbeat away from their criminal past, ready to “throw down”, steal or rob if they feel stressed or frustrated.
What Foxx and Lightbrain are doing is exactly the OPPOSITE: they are trying to make it easier - less painful - to be a habitual criminal. Anybody with a functioning brain knows that making it less difficult to be a criminal will not reduce crime. So, either Foxx and Lightbrain are brain-dead (always a possibility) or their intention is to make crime in Chicago WORSE - possibly to bring about a crisis that will (they hope) lead to the voters turning over all of their freedom (and all of their cash) to the Social Justice Warriors.
Unfortunately for them, that’s not how it’s likely to play out. Eventually, people who can will leave Chicago, businesses will close, the tax base will wither and die and Detroit will have a twin city on Lake Michigan.
The two upstanding “community” thugs are likely out on bond already....... “restorative justice” right Kim?

As long as it wasn't actual 10-1 (shots fired at police), then I would agree with 199R terminatinting the chase. In this anti-police/anti-chase/anti-arrest political climate he probably saved some copper from being fired/suspended.
Gee beginning of month it was water now they are throwing lead. Didn't take long for that to happen. Now that they know they can get away with it there will be more of the same.

I said before and will say it again, LL and BJ at the Feeding Trough don't care.You can set your watch by the feral death loving MF's and their actions. They just talk shit as they set up things to benefit them and keep then in power. Retired several months ago. Went to 51st & Wentworth range to qualify for my IRROC yesterday. Qualified with both my semi-auto and the old wheel gun. Thirty round course for each. Shot 60 out of 60 and the targets are smaller than our annual qualification targets. It's not timed, so less pressure. I'm out here and armed.... beware animals. (Also, bought insurance which I highly advise to all retirees.)
